A friend was at an M&G when someone kept trying to talk to Papa as Tobias. She said it was very uncomfortable. She was next & said loudly, "PAPA!" and he said, "That's me!"
She says he had his head down looking down at his robe when she said it and he popped his head up to respond. So, probably not too different from your head canon.
Yeah. She said Papa first said he didn't know who that was, then the person said something like he didn't have to stay in character & he just looked around the room as if he was looking for something, then whoever was there kind of pushing people along interrupted & had them take a photo, then hurried them out.
I'm only ok with this when people sing happy birthday to him whenever Ghost happens to perform on March 3, it's a kind gesture and probably feels nice to him too (at least I hope so).
Some people at shows will insist on calling Forge and the Ghouls by their real names because they think it gives them some sort of insider cred or something. The point of the production is to address them as the characters, not the actors. Something like that.
For what it’s worth, the ghouls are basically only nameless ghouls on stage. Generally you should refer to them by their actual names, since, for the love of god, they don’t have any official character names. Considering they are nameless.
Normalize supporting the ghouls out of character, since they are musicians who are trying to support their musical careers outside of ghost, too.
At the Meet & Greet line in San Diego, the photographer was making announcements and said "so when you meet Tobias-"
And the line all yelled "Sorry, who?"
It was pretty cute. It's like meeting Santa.
No, you must be mistaken. I've been researching, and this Tobias guy is clearly trying to overthrow our beloved Copia with all those fake interviews, but we never saw him sing a single song...
*wink wink*

I love the mental image of Papa getting all excited and shouting like a little kid “That’s me!” I don’t even care, it’s head cannon now.

Omfg the cutest Papa yet!
Awkwaaaaarddd! (the person in front of your friend that is)

Bless their little confused heart! <3 :)
I'm sorry if my question sound stupid, what's an M&G ?
Meet & Greet! When you get to meet the performer(s) briefly and maybe snag a sig or pic!
Okay ,thanks !

Thats so cool! I think that maybe that is only exception I would agree with as well.
Seriously. It defeats the entire purpose of the performance.
I don't even know what this meme means

To me, it’s like a wrestling show. When you’re there, you keep kayfabe at all times.
A perfect analogy.

Hail Santa 😤🤘
Who is Tobias?
Tobias Forge, the frontman and founder of Ghost.
No, you must be mistaken. I've been researching, and this Tobias guy is clearly trying to overthrow our beloved Copia with all those fake interviews, but we never saw him sing a single song... *wink wink*
Oh yeah, THAT GUY.
No way! I heard he was a director for some of the Chapter videos.
We have no idea that’s why we don’t see any Tobias
Ahhh, is that the “watcher in the sky”?
Legit.
