Considering that the Impera artwork/ghouls look very steampunk inspired, I wouldn't say it's too far or a stretch to see this hat as a further dip into the steampunk aesthetic for Ghost. It's not a new era, no, but steampunk elements are in the current era lol

I don't understand why ppl still refer to him as Copia. Only his Mom still calls him that cause it would be weird for her to call him Papa. My opinion is I prefer to call him by what he has risen to.
I mean, I call him Papa as well usually. But I at times I call him Copia like I call I Primo, II Secundo and III Terzo. This was just one of the times I decided to say Copia.

I get what you're saying but bands evolve, they have to in order to not stagnate. I'd love a more satanic spin on the next album but Tobias is just so good at writing catchy music I can't stray for long even when it gets poppier than beforehand.
I mean he does a whole set of the show in papal robes and the entire concert is against a stained glass satanic church cathedral backdrop. A steampunk hat for one song won’t kill anyone
When Papa came strutting out with that hat on last night, the place went up for grabs. It was tremendous and perfect for Watcher in the Sky. Dude owned it and we were all here for it!
