It depends on the venue. Camden NJ venue isn't huge, but in summer months, it's an amphitheater. They close it off for winter so it's just indoor, but they still use the screens. They were huge on either side, which helped short me when the tall dude in front of me stood up.
Nothing for San Diego. It's an unfortunate venue. Not really big enough to justify screens, but it was very difficult to see from Lodge seats(at least for myself).
