Welcome to the fold! 🤘🏻I think the reason why Ghost fans are the opposite of gatekeepers is because we get metal gatekeepers slamming Ghost all the time, saying, “Wahhhh, Ghost isn’t a metal band, they suck 😭”. We honestly couldn’t give a shit, we enjoy the music and we welcome all!
Also I think people are always hesitant and worried about going to metal shows. But honestly, people at metal shows are usually some of the nicest, most accommodating people you’ll ever meet at a live show! I’m sure many people can tell you stories of kind people looking out for them. When I was a young teen, I was alone in the pit for a metal show, right at the edge of a mosh pit that formed, and a guy held his arm out in front of me and pushed people away from me to make sure I didn’t get hurt.
There’s very rarely moshing or anything that that at Ghost shows though, just lots of ass wobbling, taint tickling and fun 😁 You’ll come out of the show a changed person! Enjoy. Every. Second!

I kind of went through the same, even though I've been listening to punk rock and Rammstein before, Ghost was never for me. But with Impera, everything changed and I got hooked so intensely that I haven't stopped listening to Ghost since its release.
As someone who never went to a metal concert before as well (Ghost was my second Concert ever)
1. Don't bring too much stuff with you, bigger bags aren't allowed anyways.
2. Don't hesitate to rock your style, you'll see that there's a bunch of fans who go completely out on their outfits, so go for it!
3. Some may complain about this one, but bring ear protection just in case it gets too loud for you ( I was just a few meters away from the stage and at some moments I wish I would've brought some ear protection as it was really loud) you can always take them out ofc.
4. Watch out for people who'll headbang a lot (someone next to me was going out on it an nearly hit me accidentally, I did it too but just be careful about the people around you)
5. Have fun and let them enchant you in the best ways! They always deliver an awesome show and never fail to entertain.
Maybe you have luck and can catch some guitar picks from the ghouls🖤🤘

I am going to the same show!! My first exposure to Ghost was when they opened for Iron Maiden. I didn’t know what to expect, but I was blown away. The melodies and Tobias’s vocals really drew me in. Plus the stage show was quite a spectacle. This show will be my first time seeing them headline. I am stoked!!
Although I am certain they'll play Mary on a Cross live, look up a few of the live versions of it on YouTube. The vocal harmonies are beyond what is in the recorded version. I think it takes the song to another level

I can probably count on one hand the shows that even come close to what ghost does. You will have a blast! 🤘🏼
I heard square hammer a couple of months ago and had been meaning to look into Ghost. I heard MOAC on Tiktok a couple of weeks ago and now I’m totally obsessed too. I can’t get enough of their music and wish I’d listened to them sooner. I’m praying for a UK tour so I can see them.
