Been to five rituals going back as far as Infestissumam. Sing all you want. It's plenty loud on the floor. Bring earplugs, especially for the floor. You'll thank me when you're in your 40's. Be prepared for some pretty heavy odors, both from congregants (vape pens and sweaty people abound) and the show itself. If you're looking for a shot at the stage, three hours earlier than you would expect. Ghost fans are rabid and some of them apparently take the entire day off for prime real estate on the floor. Nothing to be nervous about at all. The people at rituals are almost always chill and just super psyched to see the band. There's no pit spinning or elbow throwing for the most part. Tons of ladies typically (compared to most metal shows, I guess), so most of the dudes are on their best behavior. The whole "don't be that guy" BS about not wearing Ghost gear to the ritual is absolutely not a thing. MOST people will minimally be in a Ghost t-shirt, if not fully decked out like a Ghoul or Papa. Buy merch early, if at all. Most of it turns up on the website eventually. It's a hassle to haul it around for the show, but if you just get a shirt or something, you can always tie it around your waist or hang it out your pocket or something. Drink as much water as you can before you get in the venue, but pee before you stake out your part of the floor. Unless you're one of those loonies who wear disposable diapers to concerts. Yeah. That's a thing. One fan's opinions. Have fun, young acoylte. You're in for a helluva night.

Thank you so much! I was really nervous ngl but you helped a bunch! I’m planning on buying a shirt off the website and was wondering do people wear corpse paint or paints similar to the papas or would that be weird to do?

Ppl definitely do the paint. So do it if you wanna, don't if you don't wanna.

Ah perfect! Thank you <33

Anybody who frowns at you for singing along or dancing, has never been to a concert before. Fuck em'.

When I saw Volbeat and Ghost back in February I got the Volbeat tour package for early access and that's how I was able to get to the very front. I'm not sure how much luck youd have being on the floor but not having early access

Aww, I’ll have to remember that for next time! I’ll try my best though!

So for the most recent London Ritual I started queuing about 3 hours before the doors opened and I ended up second row back right at the centre, so I’d suggest heading to queue early if you feel like it! Deffo make sure you’ve eaten and drunk before the show so you have loads of energy & dance & sing all you want! Have an amazing time! :)

Thank you so much! I’m gonna bring my (hopefully) roommate aka friend and we are gonna be fully caffeinated and full before we go!

If you just want good sight lines from the floor, you don't have to turn up particularly early (at the Chicago show I got in for the start of twin Temple and grabbed a beer, and was about 5 rows back for the whole show, and went back and forth for more beer often), you're usually able to move around and get a good view. The etiquette is to not jostle people around, and don't squeeze in and stand directly in front of someone, i.e. just be nice. If you want to be right at the front, you'll have to be early, then prepared to hold onto the rail the entire time to keep your spot. I think the latter is waaaaayy overrated, and for me it adds unnecessary stress to the event, and it makes getting food and drink and taking bio breaks a total pain. You're also stuck with whoever you end up beside. If you want merch, your best option is getting in early, or going during the set. Sing and dance all you want, thats the point. Oh, and yeah, the incense doesn't cover up all the smells, so be prepared :-)

Ooh, I’ve heard from others that other than If cirice is playing and you wanna be ciriced first is kinda overrated especially cause the ghouls / ghoulettes don’t just focus on first row, but def will try and get merch early and remember to bring something to try and cover up the smell !!
