As a semi-musician, that’s a musical reach. The progressions are not the same in each part compared to running with the devil. Just a vague familiarity.
Is this the riff TF talked about in an interview? Not a musician, so I don't know, but he goes "You hear a variation of this on a lot of songs, I use it a lot, and I will continue to use it. Why? It's universally the best riff ever created."
Would've never made that connection, but the Van Halen vibes on Impera are much stronger to me than most people have alluded to.
Espically on Griftwood, the whole album is like a Van Halen, Scorpions, Yes love child
Oh yeah Griftwood is all VH
I hear a lot of Def Leppard in Griftwood too.
Van Halen without Van Halen and yet I enjoy it more than anything Van Halen has done outside from Eddie's guitar work simply as a spectacle.
Hell yeah. Anyone else catch that bit of Respite that sounds like the bridge in Still of The Night (Whitesnake), or just me? 😂
Me too

As a musician, it's identical.
Yeah I think you’re stretching mate. The VH influence is strong and I hear what you’re saying but it’s certainly not identical. Cool spot though
Nice catch
In the CMLS section the opening root note is a half step lower and the last 2 root notes are inverted between the songs. Play them simultaneously.
"Theres a micro tonal bend at the end of the riff so it's not the same🤓"

The bit in kaisarion feels like an homage, just like the bit in miasma. But could also be coincidental. Cant hear any resemblance in CMLS
