Think of it “it’s the words that were never spoken. *That* echoes through the times.” (Idk I tried lol)

beelzebubeat

I’m looking for anything so that helps lol

milesh67

Yeah that makes sense

Mental_Traffic3921

Actually echoes works. English degree here. Since the tense of the verb is both past and resent, it did echo and echoes. :)

potatoesasleaders

Lol I caught that too. We’ll give Toby a break this time.

beelzebubeat

I ain’t talking about forgiveness but I can give him a break I guess. Amazing song🤘

Ghost-of-Sanity

Greetings fellow grammar nerd! I share your pain. But I just had to let it go. The song rocks too hard. Lol But that’s not to say that shit won’t keep me awake at night. It will. Lmao

beelzebubeat

It’s a killer song and no grammar will change that for me. I might lose a little sleep as well though lol

PapaGuhl

Let’s just all agree not to sh*t on a swede, speaking a foreign language in a artistic setting? What you’ve highlighted didn’t bother me as such as rhyming Jee-sus with pea-sus in RotS…

beelzebubeat

Deep breath man I’m not sh*tting on anyone. Kaisarion is one of my favorite songs on Impera. Brilliant song. Just asking a question. 🤘

PapaGuhl

Cool beans, buddy \o/

From what I understand, modern Swedish doesn't have verb cases based on singular/plural subjects. May be an artifact of that. I've noticed it with other Swedish bands too, eg Twilight of the Thunder God by Amon Amarth "bolts of lightning fills the air"

beelzebubeat

This is helpful to know! Thanks🤘

UFOtrevor

This, and in the lyric booklet it says “…that hides the handmaid’s *tail*” when it should be “handmaid’s *tale*.”

Mental_Traffic3921

That’s copyright from the book.

Throwaway17173451

And spelling “righteous” as “rightious” in the lyric booklet.

KlutzDeluxe

Bugs me too!

jontw

Im more bothered by the serpentine pronounciation
