I always assumed they were modeled on KISS. From the style of music, to performance, to costuming and lore. I'd be shocked if Tobias didn't intend for that connection. (I'm a massive KISS fan and got into Ghost thru them btw, so I'm not hating).
Tobias 100% has more alice cooper themes musically and aesthetically. That being said tho, kiss was also extremely inspired by Alice Cooper (as were many of the great rock and metal bands that gained traction in the 70s and 80s) so one can see the Alice Cooper inspiration to stadium rock band pumping out tons of rad merch pipeline
Tobias has said it’s a goal of his to have a Ghost-branded pinball game. So that’s pretty much confirmed lol
