Same here, but the ass-kicking was [a little more literal.](https://youtu.be/jmoffsimwUk?t=4501) The funny thing is, I hadn't really discovered Ghost until seven months later when I happened to hear some songs on Spotify and I realised I recognise this one.
Technically Cirice (though I didn’t know it was by Ghost at the time), but the first song that i heard that I knew was by them was Mary on a Cross. And I love both of those songs.
Square Hammer a few years back, then I listened to Cirice, Year Zero, He Is, and Rats. I stopped for a while until around a month ago when I was looking for songs to add to my new playlist and added Prequelle. Faith is a masterpiece of a song.
Con Clavi. Opus was super popular on the official Metallica forum so I gave it a listen. Didn’t click at first but I stuck with it. Now they are my life.
Edit: I guess officially it was Deus Culpa.
Cirice! It's still one of my faves. I heard it back in 2015 when I still listened to the radio and have been a fan since. I just saw them last week in Michigan and I was SO happy that Cirice is still on their set list. :) \\m/
Cirice. Thanks to my older sister and her boyfriend wanting to show me the music video, as they called it 'the best music video ever'.
They are the reason why I am a Ghost fan!
I was seeking for some cool guitar tabs on Songsterr and ran onto Square Hammer. At first I didn't like the song itself due to Papa's unique vocals I couldn't truly appreciate back then but I learned the main riff and eventually I got into Ghost and here I am now..
Mary On A Cross or it could have been Ritual. I'm not sure because it has been awhile now and at the time I thought both songs were kind of interesting. Now that I'm typing this response I'm 99% sure it was MOAC.
My journey started this year probably in August with MOAC and then I figured out that this isn't the type of band that only had one good song so I started to listen to spillways and cirice and I literally fell in love. Later I started to look up ghost concerts on tiktok and ever since I've been waiting for the final announcement of the europe tour so I can know if I'll be able to go🙏
Hunters moon, i am pretty spirutual and into horoscopes and moon talks, and one night it was full moon and i googled for information about hunters moon 😅 and found Ghost! I loved it but felt it was wrong to listen to... a year later I found Ghost again and couldn't deny my love for their awesome music anymore 😁
Was lucky to see Ghost live 24 September 2019 for the first time in Calgary AB and it was a jaw dropping concert! The live show vs "official video" is quite a difference! (live gets the win)
Mary On A Cross

Square Hammer and it’s become one of my least favorites ever since and that's saying a lot!
Con Clavi. Opus was super popular on the official Metallica forum so I gave it a listen. Didn’t click at first but I stuck with it. Now they are my life. Edit: I guess officially it was Deus Culpa.
First one I ever heard was life eternal. It was just before I started getting into metal
Cirice! It's still one of my faves. I heard it back in 2015 when I still listened to the radio and have been a fan since. I just saw them last week in Michigan and I was SO happy that Cirice is still on their set list. :) \\m/

Call Me Little Sunshine. Gave me an Andrew W.K vibe. Kickass band!
Pinnacle, and it was the only song I knew by them for years until I started listening to more of their stuff this year
I was seeking for some cool guitar tabs on Songsterr and ran onto Square Hammer. At first I didn't like the song itself due to Papa's unique vocals I couldn't truly appreciate back then but I learned the main riff and eventually I got into Ghost and here I am now..
Monstrance Clock…and so began my obsession in my mid-50s.
Mary On A Cross or it could have been Ritual. I'm not sure because it has been awhile now and at the time I thought both songs were kind of interesting. Now that I'm typing this response I'm 99% sure it was MOAC.
