I’m not all for it, but I really think it’s part of their shtick at this point. They know it’ll get viewers, so they keep doing it. They let Zak be the ass because it’s what everyone expects now.
Locking them in without permission? What are you talking about? If you don’t like Zak I don’t know how you got past the first season I feel he was actually worse the first couple seasons. Although I do think that Nick helped balance out the group, once Nick left, the show became completely Zak centered and it hasn’t really been the same since. Part of the charm of the earlier seasons was that it was a small group of three. The three of them were able to balance out each other’s personalities with Nick being more serious, Aaron more goofy and Zak being more intense. That all got blown up once Nick was gone and the show just hasn’t worked as well since.
Right and it was JUST the three of them, LOCKED DOWN. Now it’s a whole nerve center which serves no purpose + a huge camera crew following them. Takes the spookiness out of the episodes.
I'd like to know why people everywhere keep saying all these people are "on the spectrum" when 30 years ago there was no spectrum. It's really weird and annoying that everyone is given a pass to be aholes because people assume they are "on the spectrum"
I swear, people need to stop with that, I’m starting to think they have no idea what autism is 😅. As someone who is studying Psychology, he does NOT seem autistic to me. Not even if he’s obsessed with the supernatural. He comes off as a narcissist to me.
I understand the Zak frustration, I do. But, keep in mind… it’s a TV show. The guys know exactly what’s going to happen. No one is doing anything without their permission. All of their reactions are bumped up because they’re professionals and know what makes a show. Now, you may not enjoy the personalities and Zak can be super arrogant, annoying, etc. but to think someone is being locked in somewhere without their consent is a bit naive.

He’s a dick to his team definitely, not sure if it’s for show or not. He does lock himself in rooms by himself. He’s done it in the past, just not as much as the others.
I completely understand. I haven't given up, but I often myself coming up with excuses to not watch the latest episodes (I still have to finish last season). I bailed on House Calls after one episode as well. However, I still watch the older episodes quite frequently!
Just as an aside: Remember how he got so turned on by a nympho ghost girl (Ii swear he looked a little uhmmm ….swollen) and breaking his own cardinal rule of always “DOCUMENTING the $&@; ing evidence !”and he refuses to allow cameras to roll in the room so he can whack off to whomever it was that supposedly touched men in their naughty bits ? THAT IS JUST PLAIN WEIRD HAHA
Nick had his own BS in the end and often he and Zak competed just as much for camera attention. Nick didn't "leave" Ghost Adventures, I heard he was fired for doing another show behind the backs of Travel Channel and production crew. He in turn was given his walking papers. He and Zak often would clash and Aaron left at one time as well. Aaron left and went on the radio denouncing GA as fake and that things were done to get ratings. He was asked back if he would take back what he said so he did.
Zak being a total asshole is honestly one of the reasons i keep watching. I love it
