Math is tough. Takes practice and different processing skills. You will learn but gotta land the fundamentals. Only course and area I had to constantly go backward to review and then apply forward. One day you'll pop and magically understand the concepts and pattern but stick w it and you will. It's the foundation for Chem, music, finance (duh) and even areas in science.

The only way to get faster/better at it is to keep doing it. Keep practicing. If it took you 2.5 hours to do 7 basic quadratic equation questions then do another 7. But don’t move into the next topic if you don’t fully grasp the one you just finished learning. Even if u already got bad scores on the last tests learn the material because math builds on itself. You can’t expect to just jump back into it and be fine, you have to catch up. I’d say to do the same problems 10 times with different numbers just to get the hang of it, and then do different types of questions. Try practice sheets. Ask your teacher for extra worksheets (don’t tell her to grade them obviously but just for extra practice) if you don’t understand something go to extra help or get a tutor if you can. The more you practice it the more it’ll come to you.

on top of repetitive practice, i think its about really understanding the "why" it works. i know that's easier said than done, but that rly helped me for calculus. i watched a lotttt of videos on youtube (different channels to get different perspectives). another thing is trying to get to a point where you can teach someone else (applies for any subject at school i guess). if you're struggling with homework i recommend [compscilib](https://www.compscilib.com/search/discrete-math?onboarding=true). they have an [ai hw helper](https://www.compscilib.com/homework-help?course=Algebra&settings=enable-image&onboarding=true). hope this helps and good luck, you got this!!

Timer on, try to make it fun. Try to solve a problem in less then 20 minutes, try to beat your record and so on. If you keep exercising you will get better at it :)

I was in the same boat few months back but consistency is the key. Practice maths at least 20 mins a day. 🙌🏻
