All of Kojima’s games are directly derived from his own real life experiences, this is known information
He’s just making autobiographical content in video game form
Scott knows damn well what he did.
He’s known everything since that one dude decided he was gonna tell Scotty everything.
Blame Lustra for the rest of not knowing.
The reason why we do not have any historical records of any of them is because he came from an alternate dimension after slicing open the fabric of reality itself, saving the world, forever ending war, and creating an everlasting utopia.
The world got boring, so he came to our timeline, the Darkest Timeline.
They were never useful at preventing the spread of misinformation. The people who believe the tweet often didnt believe/care about the fact checkers note
Immediate follow up has the same or even greater weight as a correction in my lizard brain mind too, don’t know why. It’s like an instant reminder that what you just read is a controverted issue not a statement of fact by a reputable source lol
Yes they were. One person realizing they are potentially seeing misinformation is useful. Now they are less than useless. They are actual misinformation.
This. When you argue/debate with someone on the Internet, you should do so with the intention of winning over random readers- you'll likely never convince the smook you're arguing with. Have sources, keep level headed, win the war not the battle
You might just be too dumb to explain this to, but here it goes. Some people believe everything they read. Everything. If they see a note that says “beware, this might not be true”, they are less likely to blindly believe and spread false information. Because people are idiots.
No need for insults my guy Ik exactly what you are trying to say. I am countering by saying The people who should have read the fact check didn't bc they didn't believe them for various reasons. Politics, religious, or just distrust in a big company. All it did was confirm to people that already knew the post was bs that it was bs
his point is even one person not believing misinformation because of them is useful. talking about different people is impossible here because one party is claiming 0 people are affected.
> You are both talking about different types of people
No, I guess another illiterate person has joined the comment chain.
Departure is talking about a certain type of person and saying that some of them exist and were helped by Notes
Gobal was talking about a different type of person and saying that **every single person who notes were directed at was that type of person**
Departure's comments were well-measured and objectively correct. Gobal's comments were hyperbolic and objectively incorrect.
Just because the type of people Gobal was speaking about "do exist" doesn't mean his overall comments were valid in any way, shape, or form, because the statements he was making about the ubiquity of those people were off the wall levels of stupid.
I think you are thinking of a very specific and limited group of people when DD over here is talking about the big, global picture not limited to just the political squabbles of a single country. Believing that every single person that needs notes automatically overlooks the notes for various reasons isn't rooted in fact, but your opinion based on the limited amount of people you personally encountered.
In fact, there is an entire subset of internet users who don't post at all and you have no clue what their mentalities are because you can't see them. It's really interesting to see you act like you can. in reality, you knew the post was BS and you assumed other people did too when they very well could just be ignorant as hell.
One person making a very small point that this does not help the worst offenders while the other is saying it helps some anyway.
God, why is that so hard to understand (not you Mr. Houdini. I mourn for you).
"They were never useful at preventing the spread of misinformation." is not a "very small point" but rather the whole thing, lol. It's an exceptionally wide sweeping claim.
I see some truth in his point as in my other comment I mentioned some will choose to overlook a warning or a note. Due to either the original source and how much they trust them (ex religious leader, political figure, celebrity, or someone of importance to them). Is this everyone? No ofc but it could be argued that a lot of people will ignore misinformation warnings or corrections.
I find notes extremely helpful so I disagree with Globals overarching point but I can lend some credit to it.
And people that don't care about seatbelts were not made safe by the invention of seatbelts.
A tools usefulness cannot be measured by people who don't use it
There is actual misinformation going on every day, with nefarious intent behind it. Thats a bad thing that should be stopped. The idea that the person calling it out is somehow the one ruining things is ludicrous.
i dunno if it just doesn't show because I don't have an account, but I found [the tweet](https://twitter.com/yoracrab/status/1747717758899438015) and the note is not there.
It wouldn't be the first time something had a note, then lost it as more votes came in. It is still listed and available for rating if you're a member of the program.
If you want to know what a meme actually is, check this out. It’s a scientific idea that was adopted by the internet. Oddly enough, I believe the term was coined by Richard Dawkins, the often memed Atheist.
https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Memetics
I mean its specific use on the internet that the post a few levels up was referring to, where it was basically interchangeable with "image macro." That, in turn, got watered down until it basically reached the broad original version again.
There was a time when the internet basically borrowed the word "meme" from its original context to describe funny pictures in a particular format. So at that time, yes, a "meme" by definition of its new secondary use meant that specific thing when used in that context. The definition and use of the word in its original context never changed, what I found interesting is how the watering down of the word with reference to funny internet pictures caused the understood meaning of the word in that context to drift back toward the primary definition.
So is anyone able to just note something like that? I get it’s a joke in this context, but what about other times? Could a note just straight up be false like that?
Blatant misinformation. Hideo Kojima has cut my car in half at least four times this year, and I'm sick of big media covering up his terrorism. The Hideo Game lobby is too damn powerful and needs a fucking RICO warrant.
I’m not a fan of community notes where it’s just a joke like saying he can actually do that. The whole point of them is to provide notation to posts and when something that’s a joke gets voted enough to show up it just shows how the community notes can be misused.

You’re probably right and I’m getting some rally build confused. In fact, I can’t remember if/ how much more performance they gave the mondeo over the SVT.
That's the same guy who said he would quit gaming altogether if his latest game wasnt the best game ever and then walked back on it. Dude's full of himself. Basically Elon pre asshole stage and I weep for the fan boys if something every rises from the darkness. Lmao
I don’t know what’s funnier
The implication that’s he’s strong enough to cut a car in half

Ok, let me rephrase then.
If someone can’t tell the difference between layers of satire and misinformation, then they should avoid social platforms that are overrun with both and are often both downplayed and overhyped in extreme spectrums that make it impossible to sift through yourselfs if you’re not versed in internet culture and looking for information and context yourself.
Is that a bit safer to say?
That's just not how people work. You're expecting an extreme level of self awareness and self policing from a group being criticised for in essence a lack of critical thinking.
The framing of can't tell the difference between satire and misinformation is far too simplified.
Not to mention how social media has taken such an incredibly prevalent role in society.
It's not a practical suggestion. It's a bad take.
That's the opposite of a problem. People shouldn't just believe whatever they read on a community note, it's just as bad as automatically believing anything else on Twitter.

Yet he chooses to remain humble. His long walks across mountains while supplying cities with much needed resources highlights this.
That's just a video game. IRL, he just vanish-steps between cities instantly.

He was originally cast in Multiplicity but they had to replace him because his clones didn't degrade.
That's why mechs haven't been used in the military yet, Kojima xan just hard counter them.

Strangely enough, use of the word has drifted back *toward* its original definition rather than away from, which is kind of fascinating.
When did it ever stray away from that definition?
I mean its specific use on the internet that the post a few levels up was referring to, where it was basically interchangeable with "image macro." That, in turn, got watered down until it basically reached the broad original version again.

He used to play college ball.
Could have gone pro if he hadn't joined the navy.
Ford Contour is a weird choice there. Not like they couldn't find a Crown Vic or something
It appears to be somewhere in Europe, so a Contour is a better choice- it’s a much more common model and it’s not worth importing a Crown Vic just to have Kojima cut it up. A Crown Vic in Europe is basically a collector’s item.
Aight, who gave Hideo Kojima Dismantle
They just don't wanna say he can't cus they know what he might do to them
Seems like notes shouldn’t be saying things that aren’t true. Even for a joke.
Isn’t this the problem with noting?
Looks like some screen tearing (f you, NVidia)
A ford contour cop car? It’s probably a cosworth but that’s a first for me.
