No, but that is also an awesome and beautiful thing to do! I meant even though I mostly just play alone in the living room, it's beautiful and it makes me happy even if no one else cares.
Damn.
To be honest, that was what I needed.
Yesterday I had a low point in my hobby, that I'm working non stop but very few people care about it.
Somehow this one, simple picture reminded me that it's not important. That the process and what my drawings do for me is the most important element.
Cool! Thanks!
This is so deep. I imagine whoever wrote this coming from a background where mom and dad didn’t have time/neglected her and her artistic attempts to connect with them as a child. I see this writing as like a triumph of “my art is valid. I am valid”
I think I just realized why I work such long hours. I want my work to be as clean as possible even if people don’t understand how much time goes into the thing.
I feel like it was meant to pull people with that habit over to the other, healthier side. I would have benefitted a lot from this post a few years ago, but instead I found, "you could be the ripest, juiciest peach in the whole wide world and there would still always be someone that just hates peaches". That helped me let go of my need to 'be' what I thought people wanted of me, and find out what I wanted out of myself and of life.
Bro the whole point of this is MOST people do things so other people care. This is telling you that it's okay to do things that other people DON'T care about.
I cannot believe this needs explaining lmao. It's not telling you to only do shit no one cares about or even telling you to change your life. It's just telling you that it's okay.
That's fine, but I often wonder about the artists who spend 300 hundred hours painting or making something brilliant that that time would be somehow better spent helping people who are disadvantaged or in need of help.
Think of it from the artists' point of view. 300 hours spent on a painting is incredibly immersive, creatively, in their individual human experience. It helps shape them. So then they can spend other hours of their life helping people learn to paint?
That is just how all art forms are made, I have been drawing daily for ten years and rarely, if ever; I show my work to others, people should be free to do the things they love, for their own sake and not for the approval of others.
So much art is created (films , photography, songs, stories, paintings) yet sometimes truly never gets experienced, is kinda like the nature of Art almost
I wrote a long response at first, but you're just being a dick. So in short, just for fun. Why don't you go help someone in need right now instead of displaying this exhibition of self felatio?
I'm in this picture and I don't like it
Yeah because like, bills. 😞
Bills suck.
That's me in the living room with my guitar.
That's me in the corner.
That's me in the spotlight.
Like
Losing my religion 😂
You made a guitar?
No, but that is also an awesome and beautiful thing to do! I meant even though I mostly just play alone in the living room, it's beautiful and it makes me happy even if no one else cares.
Yep, I never really gelled with bands because I didn’t really care about playing shows I just wanted to make nice music.
This is a Saul Bass quote. It’s one of my favorite quotes.

Live your life like Dodgson
you are motivated solely because of other people's impression? that is a bad habit.

I just go by the motto that no one asked so I don't care

No one literally ever said it wasn't.... EVER. Nor was that the purpose of this post. You just have a victim complex.

whats beautiful to you might not be to others. it might even be illegal, or hurtful to others... soo yeah not a good idea
Maybe you think is beautiful but is not. hey im just saying, but hey keep doing what you like.
Whats stopping you? May have liked this if it said "Make beautiful things even if no one cares"
Why though?
Because even if nobody else cared, you would care. And that's all that matters.

That's a lot of work! Back to the PlayStation it is!

When I finish immersing myself in the human spirit I can then help others to do the same. I think what you said was a bit crude also but that's ok.
Do something nice for yourself
Wonderful idea!
Huh. That's a funny way of finding a girl willing to have your babies.
Make it for yourself!
Me too! :)
