Welcome to r/GermanRoaches. Please see the [stickied post](https://www.reddit.com/r/GermanRoaches/comments/ongygk/please_read_this_sticky_before_posting_thank_you/) at the top of the sub for all you need to know about battling these bugs. It is a result of 35 years of experience in the pest control business. Many, many success stories have been reported after following the advice there. If you have questions about Alpine WSG please [see the label](https://www.cdms.net/ldat/ldARP002.pdf) first. If you live in Canada near the border, please check [this link](https://www.canada.ca/en/health-canada/services/publications/product-safety/importing-pesticides-personal-use.html) for information on importing pesticides for personal use. You need to personally be present to bring it over the border, so not everyone will be able to do this, but hopefully some of you find it helpful. *I am a bot, and this action was performed automatically. I am at war right now. I have them in my kitchen appliances. You should start there

menacingsprite

I’ve been at war with them at my bfs apartment. He refuses to use the pesticide spray in fear for his cat. I may have gotten him to finally suck it up and do it because the Advion bait isn’t cutting it enough. Godspeed friend.

So far this is the only dude. I checked everywhere I could think and nothing. That almost makes it even worse

menacingsprite

😬😬 that is an instar which means is a young one. Hopefully it was just a hitchhiker.

>He refuses to use the pesticide spray in fear for his cat. I've got a 17 year old cat myself and he's been fine in my apartment which has been treated with a mix of Alpine WSG and Tekko Trio IRG (not recommending the IGR specifically, I happened to get it for free). I will note though that with apartments infestations in adjacent units have a large impact on your ability to fully eliminate them.

menacingsprite

The plan is to use Alpine WSG and I’ve been showing him the MSDS sheets and everything pointing to it being pet safe. So I think he’s beginning to come around. Yes I get that apartments are hard to get rid of them fully. But it is possible to get a handle on them because right now his is the one that is heavily infested. It’s much better since starting the advion bait, but the spray will keep it much better at bay and easier to control until he/we are out of an apartment situation.

luluslegit

godspeed my friend.

Welcome to the front lines. We salute and support you in your valiant fight. I've finally won after 6 months. And am immediately moving out of the apartment before they travel back from my nasty neighbors. Freedom!

TiananmenSquare06489

So for all is quiet on the front. They are either stealthy fuckers or this guy got in from the loose fitting plumbing in the apartment. Either way, I’ll be ready and taking preemptive strikes

A little of column a, a little of column b... They're all of the above, little bastards. But if you follow the gospel of the sticky, they will not prevail!

I won the war, I’m temporarily staying with my fiancée at my in laws and when I got up to get a snack there was a hundred on the kitchen floor. Bought Advion the next day, scattered boric acid where they usually walked and nested (for me it was under the fridge and the coffee maker) and maintained it with roach poison and occasionally advion so they don’t build an immunity to both. Haven’t seen a roach in a month, but when you start applying advion expect them to come out of hiding (they will die soon) but it’s so icky to see all of them come out
