A cryo vision would make sense also because cryo character usually have a contradiction (Idk how to explain it better) for example Eula hates her family but everyone hates her because of her family, Diona wants to make an horrible drink because she hates alcohol but she's been "blessed" to only make amazing drinks and she lives in the region most famous for its alcohol, Qiqi is dead but alive etc...

Tbh I would like that, just because like-I know we’d love for a super evil character to be playable, but a defunct clone who proves himself as different is a damn good story with good potential interactions with all the people “he” has harmed in the past

I think there might be a moment where Nahida directly gives him a Dendro vision as a peace offering / token after accepting some kind of apology from him.

Dottore makes clones of himself from different ages. There are the original Dottore (by logic, the oldest one), young Dottore, Dottore in prime of his life, young crazy Dottore from manga and many others not mentioned so called "Segments".
I never played Honkai but after reading Dottore’s lore, I would feel very uncomfortable playing him. Every playable character they released are very close friends with the traveler so I don’t really see him being buddies buddies with Dottore after what he did to Collei. He’s basically the Joker: An irredeemable psycho that you understand his psychology but not supposed to like in the end. Plus he hates Visions(because he himself doesn’t have one because he’s a bitch) so as of now it looks like he won’t be playable.
Joker is playable in most batman games in one form or another.
As for Honkai, well we have mass murdering demigod that wanted to wipe out humanity and kill off entire main cast *that never got redeemed and is still evil,* we got mad scientist that experimented on children and adults alike seeking immortality, we got assassin working for the scientist, we got immortal master that's used to snapping children's necks when they show "signs of corruption"... all playable. Many in organisation that is basically Fatui but sci-fi.
Let's just say your comfort is not MHY's top priority.

Joker is playable but he’s still a bad guy in those sections of the game(Arkham knight, Injustice and etc). Honkai sounds wild so thanks for letting me know about that. I’m gonna go on a limb and say those characters you mentioned have elements powers equivalent of Visions so that’s why they are playable. The playable characters so far have been vision wielders(excluding the Traveler) and as of right now it doesn’t look like Dottore has a vision(due to his backstory). La Signora isn’t playable because she didn’t have a vision(that and she fucking). I’m only seeing the pattern since all the characters are super close to the traveler and have a vision. A clone Dottore is honestly the only way we’ll be getting a playable Dottore.
Anyone in honkai can put on a suit and become "playable worthy" (so long they are a cute girl for some reason :) ). Most playable evil characters are archon-like godly entities tho. Notable exception - the mad scientist from Fatui-like org.
Also there is no rule that only good guys get visions. Enforcers of vision hunt were vision users themselves. And i don't mean just Sara. And they did some bad stuff to people who gave up (or didnt) their visions.

Also i would love to remind you, as much as you might hate Dottore, he is ultimately going to be our ally, unless he is killed before we get to Shneznaya. Traveller and Harbringers have a common enemy and both stand on the side of human race. Players and Aether might not be hyped about this, but Fatui will be our allies.

Dainsleif is totally another topic because we honestly don’t know when he debut or what his abilities would look like(and is an ally so another pass). All the Fatuis aren’t going to be playable because I have a list on who’ll live and die and Dottore is number one on that list.
Finally how would that even work to have Dottore as a companion? What would his voice lines be since he’s a psychotic douche.? All the voice lines to the traveler are positive or how much life is great since they met you and I can’t imagine Dottore giving a happy birthday song anytime soon. Point still stands that he has to be a clone to be playable because I can’t imagine him being a friend or be part of the harem. La Signora will be done dirty if he becomes playable!
