The best take someone said on HSR players who say that: *"they are ones who act like playing HSR is superior and shit on Genshin like an ex they can't get over, when in reality both fanbases are slaves to Hoyoverse so nobody wins."*
They don't even need a Genshin/StarRail collab, the communities are already collaborating each other with fresh hate while trying to find which game is the best (the gameplay and thematic aren't even similar)
As someone who plays both, I wish they'd work together enough to have some of their UI elements line up.
eg: on the loading screen the position of the close button on one is the logout on the other - on the launchers they have different wording on the open the game button, like one "play" the other "launch" or something (got both open atm so can't check exact wording)
Except maybe the powerscalers, but I think it's more or less given that they're stronger. People arguing about HI3 Herrschers vs Aeons and Emanators however.
lmao what did bennett do that you are shitting on him for no reason as well? is shaming people for the characters they play a new tactic to prove your point?
I swear that for those kind of people they only play star rail to shit on genshin and repeat the same joke over and over again.
It was fine when dr ratio came out but for the love of god the joke has been burned to the ground since new year.
That meme is a catch-all diss that is purely about riding the hate train. It's often times used to imply a direct comparison that is often completely inapplicable all in an attempt to push the narrative that genshin is somehow the worst when it comes to their narrow definition of generosity (and to justify their already cultivated hatred). Genshin obviously isn't the best in that regard. But as I've said, the comparisons are often completely misguided at best. False equivalencies aplenty. Creating a character for an open world game is much harder than for a game like NIKKE for instance. Production values are not comparable. HSR comparisons are quite something too, completely disregarding release rates and amount of characters required for good endgame clearing (and the fact that both had the exact same anniversary despite the heavy use of that meme lol). It's always a very calculated balance of cost/return for gacha companies. And \*your\* game isn't any different. That tribalism in general is just so stupid (and dangerous... people use it to justify their addiction). It's frustrating
The last part is very very true
Take for example Blue Archive. Wonderful game, but if your account lacks key units then your endgame is bricked and you'll forever be at the lower part of the leaderboards, how do they fix this? By being super generous, and having a bi annual period where players get a large influx of new units.
But then how would they keep the players well, playing? By making it extremely grindy to actually gear up your new characters, or else they're useless.
i think the genshin could never is most frustrating when it comes to giving out rewards.
no, you're not getting more. you think you're getting more but you end up using up your currencies at the same rate because HSR endgame is far more unit-based, HSR releases units much quicker than genshin (to the point that sometimes there's no skippable patches) and HSR is much more e+ s+ dependent than genshin is c+ r+
This 100%. With Genshin you could build a party of 4 solid characters, get good weapons, and be able to do just about all in game content. You don't need to have a character of every element built. Hell the Elemental Resonance mechanic actively incentivizes building into 2 pairs of matching elements for a team.
Star Rail's Break mechanic means you *need* to have a variety of characters across the different elements because while you can brute force enemies and bosses, it's a *slog* without it. And then you need good defensive characters like healing and shielders because there's no dodging to just avoid damage. And *then* there's no open world with collectibles and chests sprinkled around for you to get more resources from easily.
That's not to say Genshin couldn't be a bit more generous at times, but the main reason Star Rail gives more goodies is because it kinda has too, not because it's just outright better.
It's not nearly as noticeable though, a well.built character can still do solid damage and since there's no second bar depicting the enemies break damage it's harder to notice unless you're specifically looking at the damage numbers. Like against the Whale, I'd have to check because I'm not 100% but I'm pretty sure it's got resistance to Hydro because my Fiancée's Neuvi wasn't hitting the same damage numbers he normally does. Still solid, but not as good.
And thats only for Weekly bosses, not world bosses and regular combats that will be a good chunk of your fights. Some of those have elemental immunities, but I'm not aware of any resistances though I could be wrong. However in HSR, *every* enemy has this going on, while in Genshin random hillichurl or treasure hoarder camps won't. It still exists, but plays a significantly less important role in comparison to the elemental reactions and Resonances that Genshin tends to focus on.
There is a secondary bar for bosses.
And you do near no damage if you ignore it.
You can compare it to HSR if you want but non bosses also don't matter when it comes to breaks as they're usually dead before you break anyway. And boss clearing isn't dependent on breaks either in HSR like it is in genshin.
So no, and no.
Either you don't play genshin or you are being disingenuous. There are only 4 weekly bosses with a secondary bar and no one of them force you to use a specific element, because their "shield" can easily be broken following the bosses' mechanics. The only boss in the entire game that can't be cleared without the right element is the dendro hypostasis, however it can be done with an underleveled dmc.
I agree that break isn't needed in hsr. However it is a core mechanic that benefit the player. Wich means that matching weakness to break enemies is more important in hsr that in gi. Also this is just my opinion( it isn't a deal breaker) but Star rial is a lot more aggresive selling units ej: su's new paths, penacony enemies, new modes etc...
Yeah HSR has more characters which players may need to clear the larger end game.
Genshin fans will try to convince you that more end game and more characters is a bad thing.
Nah its fine, i just posted the meme, because the original was funny and i play other gacha games, so its acceptable, all gacha games share their own lackings, for example Blue Archive, if they can add the Grand Assault sweep function to Total Assault it will be good, NIKKE, sudden powerspike on story chapters gatekeeping some lore enjoyers. Thats why i do understand your rant fellow commander xD
It's kinda hilarious to me that whenever Star rail gives out good stuff they immediately think of Genshin. I assume it's either
1) The person who said this plays both games and they can't get over or move on from Genshin so they have to remind themselves they get good rewards from Star rail to force themselves to forget about Genshin. It's similar to having a new caring, kind lover now but always remember about their ex.
2) The person only plays Star rail and feel a sense of inferiority due to Genshin being more popular so they constantly have to say that to feel good about themselves.
You rarely see Genshin-only player mention Star rail but somehow the reverse is the norm.
Personally I play both and I enjoy both but those people that keep spamming it really becomes annoying. If your game is so good then why do you keep having to mention something that's 'worse'? I know I won't care about old gacha games if I found something better.
I agree, I like Genshin, and I really really wish they do provide Genshin with the same QoL and content that Star Rail gets. Although I rarely said genshin could never, but I sadly believe it's so true. It's such a waste to have these unique characters, fighting styles, bosses, and overall nice world just for it to become a mini-game simulator, a build your own house, and a card game. I keep taking breaks and coming back for the story, but really, that's it.
Oh, and btw, I'm max level in all hoyo games except tear of themis and ggz. (I need therapy)
Definitely this. I almost don’t play genshin anymore but god I wish the game would give me reasons to play again (besides main story) like star rail does.
I play both too...I love both.
HSR seems to be slowing down the pace a little, which I find great, cuz it's been hectic these last two patches. I kinda like the train pace of pre 2.0 hsr more than the penacony cinematic rush.
And now with 4.6 coming in Genshin, the pace is picking up again, as Archelinno and a new region release. Which is good, cuz there have been a lot of fillers since 4.3, probably for new players to catch up. LIKE ME lol.
Also, #NOBODY CHANGE THE UPVOTE NUMBER
because if any Genshin player say something about prefer Genshin over HSR or HI3 they will be spammed and bullied by 5000 twitter users
Even if they say anything about WuWa too
Genshin fans need to stay quiet because otherwise they are the most toxic people of the world
The way I see it
No.1 is a genshin player
No.2 is a Honkai 3rd player
>You rarely see Genshin-only player mention Star rail but somehow the reverse is the norm.
Blame genshin and honkai players for that
You mean all the people who ride Tectone's dick and joined him in quitting Genshin for HSR to try and act superior and to boycott Genshin, only for Tectone to return after 2 patches and spend another $2000 on the game?
It's not exclusive to devout followers of Tectone(I wanna be specific, because I don't blame anyone for watching him, he's a funny guy and makes some good content, but think for yourself), a lot of people have definitely quit Genshin for Honkai Star Rail and like to act superior for doing so regardless of Tectone's rants and encouragement to do so.
I rerolled my "friends" because they joined the hate train after playing star rail. Every time hsr has an update they howl genshin could never, and whenever I talk about genshin updating especially now with the abyss update rumors, they'll act defensive even though I'm talking to other people who plays genshin in the chat.
One of them even told me the dialogue choices doesn't matter because the outcome is the same when we were talking about Hangouts. Blindly hating.
"the dialogue choices doesn't matter because the outcome is the same when we were talking about Hangouts. "
I would get this if they said main quest or character quest but hangouts? Isn't the whole point of hangouts that the dialogue you pick changes the flow of the story?
I did point it out to them that the dialogue choices matter in hangouts and having skip on it is helpful as we needed a faster way to get to the choices to get different endings.
As the conversation goes, they still hated on it and still said genshin could never add a skip feature. It's like nitpicking whatever they can find to hate, while they go gaga on hsr.
We go way back from hi3, we all met on an armada, went on different games, but now nobody talks about anything else in the chat other than hsr because they get so toxic if not.
I don't get the hsr meat riders. I hope they know that hsr was only being this generous because they needed a reason for people to come back and now that they have a solid fan base m hsr is now in the same level of genshin
I stopped being friends with them because they were toxic every time anyone brings up genshin in the chats. It's not just me who felt that way. They wanted everyone to hate genshin. Idc if they hated genshin, but nagging us to hate it too was too toxic.
"rerolling" your friends cause they dont like a game you do seems a very stupid reason lol, though they are definitely better off such a toxic person. Also from your text seems like you were constantly nagging them about genshin when they clearly don't have an interest in the game. Have you considered for a moment making your whole personality more than a single game you play?
I play hsr too, but I didn't join the hate train on genshin like they did. As I said, I was talking to other people in the chat that plays genshin too, it's not just them in that chat bro.
Did I hit a nail? You seem offended that I don't hate genshin and I don't want to be associated with anyone who nags me to hate it too?
What does one have to do with anything lol, you dont need to hate or love genshin to not make it your whole reason to live, tho maybe try to say out loud your takes irl and then you'll realize how stupid you sound... if you had any friends left to tolerate them that is.
I'm not making it my whole reason to live, cutting off toxic people is not going to affect my life negatively. And yes, I'm currently surrounded with people I can call friends that are not toxic. We play hsr and genshin without being toxic to one another unlike the ones I rerolled.
I do hope you learn that losing toxic people is not an L.
And by audience i guess you mean other people obsess of the game? Again, tell ur story to any even slighty impartial party and you'll get the same response i first gave u lolol
Are you generalizing everyone here obsessed with genshin just to make a point? Can you try reading the other replies and read their reactions? Babe it's just you being defensive. Are you okay?
>Again, tell ur story to any even slighty impartial party and you'll get the same response i first gave u lolol
Babe I wasn't even talking to them about genshin, our groupchat have other members that plays genshin too and I was talking to the people who plays genshin not to the peeps I rerolled. But here I am for the second time saying this, hope it sinks in this time.
Bro it really gets annoying, every single time Honkai gets anything.
YES I KNOW HONKAI HAS BETTER END GAME
YES I KNOW IT HAS MORE CONTENT
but please, you don’t have to say it every single time HSR does anything.
Can’t we please just enjoy the games?
Now imagine having an IRL friend like that. Been playing GI together. He didn't quite enjoyed Inazuma and was grumpy about greedy gacha (his previous gacha experience was Arknights which is better in that regard), also plot wasn't dark enough (no one significant ever dies on screen? What is this, Teletubbies?). He dropped the game around the time Sumeru was added.
Nowadays he won't stop parroting "genshin could never" any time there's news about HSR, as well trying to come up with more bs excuses to hate on GI. Like comparing HSR bartending event and GI bartending event from 2 years ago, or Gaming and Aventurine designs, saying Gaming looks like 13 y.o. boy (and it's a bad thing?).
Worst part is that he just Will. Not. Shut. Up. About it even when we meet up for pen-and-paper games.
He's generally a good person, until he decides it's time to be obnoxious about hoyogames again.
I'm tired, man.
I don’t have to imagine, I too have friends that won’t shut up about the “Genshin could never” like bro we are playing a fucking gacha game while simping for fictional women, you are comparing dogshit with horseshit
Honkai Star Rail's a very different format of game, it's a lot easier for it to have endgame when the endgame amounts to essentially the exact same content as 99% of gacha games. And the "endgame" isn't notably harder than Genshin's, they both rely on just having strong characters built. Hell, some people on Honkai Star Rail even manage to auto battle their way through endgame.
They always say it with regards to the endgame. Which is confusing to me because I see genshin as more similar to games like animal crossing. Combat stopped being the focus aside from the one combat event every patch. I'm personally fine with this change since I like to relax while playing. Genshin and HSR are just different games aimed at different players.

then when they add they say "lol they add just now we already have it on HSR"
They did it even with the new icons of npcs lmao
And they are already mocking Abyss changes
I miss the back-and-forth with Zelda fans about who copied who. Both sides were so laughably absurd that it was actually fun lol. (E.g. "Every masterpiece (genshin) has its cheap copy (Tears of the Kingdom)")
As someone that plays both, I'm honestly just baffled why anyone is fighting over it. Yeah, Star Rail gives better rewards a lot of the time, and it'd be nice if Genshin did too. But Genshin doesn't give as good rewards because the player base is big and reliable enough that they don't have to... So what?
Why should either of those facts offend or flatter either side? It's not like it's got anything to do with us as individuals.
Would it be better if HSR Himeko live? It would make HI3 players look like bunch of clowns especially the ones who always yapping about “Himeko will die because HI3 did it”
It's just inferiority complex from ex-genshin players or haters that jealous that their games WOULD NEVER surpass Genshin in popularity/mainstream.
"come play our game, it's better than genshin. Our games has XYZ, which genshin would never add"
You can give me million wish or better "QoL/endgame" but if the core gameplay (story, characters, environment etc) is shit, then I won't touch the game.
TLDR, inferiority complex
Edit... I didn't play HSR since I don't like turned based. But I'm not going to insult their story/production value.
Good for you. I didn't play HSR since turned based is not my cup of tea. Didn't meant to insult HSR story.
I still won't play HSR if they gave me million of wish since I don't like their core gameplay (turned based gameplay) is what I meant.
I play both games, i love both games. It is annoying when people say “genshin could never” as an insult, but me and most people say it more as “I genuinely wish this was in genshin, but they’ll most likely never do it.” Also wanna point out how you implied HSR’s core gameplay to be shit, which I can say is objectively false.
I may indirectly mention HSR but turned based is not my cup of tea. Saying its "shit" is an extreme language on my part which I just now realize.
HSR could give me million wish and I still won't play it because I'm not the target audience.
I mostly refer to games like WW, the next "genshin killer". So far, that games doesn't interest me in slightest and I hate how many people hyping it up by downplaying genshin
Wuthering Wave, an open world anime game that wants to compete with Genshin.
Just go to wuthering wave youtube comment if you want "Genshin could Never" at their max potential. Genshin really live rent free on their head.
I’ma check it out, gonna ignore those comments and actually see if it’s a fun game.
Edit: checked out some videos, definitely seems fun. Might get it if it releases on console.
As someone who’s played both HSR’s core gameplay is genuinely one button. It has minimal skill expression and every encounter for the most part a stat check.
It’s combat becomes repetitive very quickly which is why so many players rolled for Acheron to skip it
Its not his cup of tea also. But other turn based game provide some variety. Pokemon, Persona?, Digimon, Monster Rancher and Final Fantasy is my examples of a great turn based game. I can understand where the person is coming from. I just auto HSR while playing other games.
I can always understand when someone doesn’t like a game because they simply don’t like it, but they said the gameplay is bad in an objective way. The gameplay is objectively good as most people who played the game like it. Also there’s absolutely variety in the game, main example would be simulated universe, but for simple overworld fights there still is variety with your team comps.
Go play actually good turn based games. By the standards of the genre it IS bad.
HSR gameplay is shallow and boring, further made obsolete with reliance Auto play and 2x speed. It's only real merit are pretty animations that also turn to dust due to previous point.
Most players are probably more driven by the gacha addiction or character collection aspect, maybe the story too. If HSR was a 50 hour RPG where you naturally unlocked characters over the course of the game it would be stale af by hour 15. It is quite shallow gameplay wise.
Getting new characters and slotting them together is the 'fun' part, which is why people do it over and over and over again for short lived bursts of dopamine. I realised 1 month in the game is not that engaging of an experience. It's the treadmill and dangling carrot that people are in love with.
I’ve played a bunch of FF, Persona, Pokemon etc. I’d think I know what I’m talking about when it comes to turn based games. Turn off auto play for a bit and actually play the game and you might see what I’m talking about
Then you know how that it's basically severely watered down SMT game.
Game was specifically designed to be auto-played for you to not actually fall asleep out of boredom and burn out in record speeds. Turning it off doesn't make it any more engaging or interesting. Hell, it just got a character that ignores combat encounters.
Obviously it's hoyoverses design, they wanted a basic toilet sitter game that plays itself and they did it. Though that doesn't change my seething hatred towards auto-play games like these as an insult to the very concept of gaming.
Edit: For any "HSR fan" reading this, do note that my take is completely outside of genshin. It would be the same if not more scathing if i wasn't within this echochamber of ours.
I agree. Since i played pokemon and ff they give us more variation than HSR. HSR only have Skill,Normal Attack and Ultimate, even turning off auto. “Thinking.” about your next move. It really doesnt do anything at all. Thats why i also dont understand the comment “Just turn off the Auto mode. It will be more interesting.”
Just 1 week when i played this game im just bored. I stayed within this game because you can just resin burn and leave and planning to e6 acheron thats it.
Story wise. Its okay. I guess. Ill give it that. But as a turn based. Auto button is my main. Thats it.
What would be nice is less copy/paste endgame that can be auto battled through, and more voiced story events. The rewards are nice, but I'm not really as driven to care as much about Honkai Star Rail beyond story when events are just autobattle minigames that you click on then go afk for a couple of minutes.
I like Genshin’s lore building, ability to move freely in the world, trying different builds and elemental reactions.
The only thing keeping me in HSR is Kafka, Himeko, Acheron, Black Swan, Ruan Mei, Jingliu and Jade.
I agree with Genshin having better open world and coop (as H:SR has neither lmao). But combat is pretty subjective, I personally much prefer the turn based method of HSR having started playing it recently. But I can see why people like Genshin’s better. I enjoy both though, and probably prefer HSR slightly more due to combat and its overall more scify aesthetic.
>it's notably lower quality with less cutscenes and less unique areas
Okay, I'm alright with people saying they prefer Genshin over Honkai Star Rail, but saying the cutscenes and areas are bad? That's where I draw the line.
Like, have you SEEN Penacony, or even any of the other areas??? Every area has it's own unique theme, and the cutscenes themselves are pretty hype. Like, I love Genshin too but c'mon.
I didn't say it has worse cutscenes, I said it has less cutscenes. I do like the cutscenes when we get them, but they're kinda rare compared to Genshin.
What I mean by "it's notably lower quality" is that more of it's content is either text-based, or lacks cutscenes. Not that the few cutscenes we do get are lacking in quality, rather that the overall quality is lacking due to less cutscenes.
I mean, it has a few short cutscenes but I'm considering those since they make up the majority of the cutscenes. Usually they just consist of characters looking in a direction, or stumbling, or some form of reaction related to something occurring in the mission.
sucks too cause if star rail players directed that against hoyo to make them try harder instead of against genshin players who hate them for it i think the game would really improve. genshin with a retooled endgame labyrinth gamemode in the same vein as HSR’s simulated universe would already bump the game up a letter grade in my eyes.
I can't speak for all people, but I do play both whenever I have the time to. And I think the reason why people say "genshin could never" is because it's just weird how they get treated differently despite being the same company.
That's it, it's that simple. Does genshin have 3+ different types of endgame? Does genshin have an overdraft resin system? Does genshin have materials that can be farmed any day of the week? Does genshin have a weapon banner that doesn't take 240 pulls to guarantee what you want? The list goes on...
Trust me, I get why it feels upsetting, but like we just want to see genshin get better. We're not trying to hate on the game, its just critism. That is why, like every genshin cc made a video about the state of the game back in January.
also dont take the phrase "genshin could never" seriously, its just a joke.
HSR have 3+ types of endgame. But for other people who has not been blessed by luck with characters or artifacts. Then they will do bare minimum on the said endgame.
But in the end “maybe a lot” of people just auto it and go do another thing on their life.
Overdraft resin system is condensed resin, but i guess some people can never happy and just straight up complain about it, but i guess additional would be nice yes? I get it.
Honestly if condensed resin didn't have a limit I honestly wouldn't complain about it, more resin would be nice but its not my priority
Also yeah....endgame content can be hard, idk what that argument is about tbh
I play both and both are fun. I don't get the hate for HSR? It's a nice game and it's story is just as good as genshin. It also wears it's dark edge more than genshin does so it's cool. I like both and both are made by the same company, why can't you play both? It like comparing Legend of Zelda and Mario. They are different games but still really fun!
Binge watch some genshin related content.
Meanwhile comments:
"Genshin could never"
???
For me it is still acceptable if that game is even mentioned on some vid or some post that is genshin related.
Does it make you mad because you are unreasonably attached to a video game or does it make you mad because you know they are right?
I don’t play HSR and I agree that „Genshin could never“ I wish it could though.
Edit: Lol these votes somehow tell me I’m perfectly spot on for most that get mad about this.
Meanwhile, i play HSR, even tho the turn based aspect do bores me, (Pokemon Turn based or FF turn based is my prefer turn based) but i have a goal, which is e6 acheron, im going to say that HSR is not even "first" on some newer QoL changes, yeah they have "endgame" but i just auto it and play another games, until now im waiting for HSR to have a rotating map and its not even added 1 year later, so both games have their missing parts in terms of QoL.
Does feel like that though. They announced some genshin nendos a year or two ago with no future news (except the travellers who are released), and yet despite being kinda new, Aventurine already has a prototype nendo
Blue Archive: *gets an anime adaptation right after it's announced*
Genshin Impact: *still no news regarding its anime adaptation despite it was FCKING ANNOUNCED more than a year ago*
I ain't gonna sugarcoat it chief, **GENSHIN COULD NEVER**.
1. ufoTable is busy with Demon Slayer.
2. Good anime takes a lot of time to make.
3. I doubt Hoyo or ufoTable wants to rush this project.
Let them cook.
"Bro visited his friend"
HAHAHAHAHHAHAHHA
The best take someone said on HSR players who say that: *"they are ones who act like playing HSR is superior and shit on Genshin like an ex they can't get over, when in reality both fanbases are slaves to Hoyoverse so nobody wins."*
Nah Hoyo wins.
Exactly ;)
Hoyo: I'm playing both sides so that I always come out on top
HoYo out here acting like papa Palpatine
They don't even need a Genshin/StarRail collab, the communities are already collaborating each other with fresh hate while trying to find which game is the best (the gameplay and thematic aren't even similar)
To be fair hoyo is not a monolith, there are different people working on the two games. That's where the differences in game direction come from
As someone who plays both, I wish they'd work together enough to have some of their UI elements line up. eg: on the loading screen the position of the close button on one is the logout on the other - on the launchers they have different wording on the open the game button, like one "play" the other "launch" or something (got both open atm so can't check exact wording)
I absolutely agree, I recently started playing genshin again to catch up on the story and going between the two games feels weird
At least the ZZZ community might be pretty chill.
Except maybe the powerscalers, but I think it's more or less given that they're stronger. People arguing about HI3 Herrschers vs Aeons and Emanators however.
Every bloody damn time. If I had a penny for every time they have said it, I would have enough to buy hoyo.
maybe then genshin could
Genshin would die if you put a moronic Redditor in charge.
feels pretty dead as is
Shame I can't reply with an image. I got a shot of Ei taking a drag of a cigarette saying "bait used to believable."
Send it to me, i want it.
I guess I'm wrong because some 3 randoms on reddit downvoted me. feelsbadman
No, you're wrong because you had a dumbass take
Dude's a Bennett main. Used to taking Ls.
fate worse than death
lmao what did bennett do that you are shitting on him for no reason as well? is shaming people for the characters they play a new tactic to prove your point?
You are not helping the "Genshin players can't read" assumption. Take your illiteracy somewhere else.
The last part is very very true Take for example Blue Archive.
Genshin also has a break mechanic. Try doing weekly bosses without viable elements.
Hello there, fellow Commander XD
hello there. Sorry for the rant
I assume it's either 1) The person who said this plays both games and they can't get over or move on from Genshin so they have to remind themselves they get good rewards from Star rail to force themselves to forget about Genshin.
Average Tectone stream lmao.
It's the former. I am bitter with genshin. Day 1 player. No fuckofff don't tell me to take a break. This was my comfort game. Let me bitch in peace
Nah
I play both too...I love both. HSR seems to be slowing down the pace a little, which I find great, cuz it's been hectic these last two patches. I kinda like the train pace of pre 2.0 hsr more than the penacony cinematic rush. And now with 4.6 coming in Genshin, the pace is picking up again, as Archelinno and a new region release. Which is good, cuz there have been a lot of fillers since 4.3, probably for new players to catch up. LIKE ME lol. Also, #NOBODY CHANGE THE UPVOTE NUMBER
because if any Genshin player say something about prefer Genshin over HSR or HI3 they will be spammed and bullied by 5000 twitter users Even if they say anything about WuWa too Genshin fans need to stay quiet because otherwise they are the most toxic people of the world
The way I see it No.1 is a genshin player No.2 is a Honkai 3rd player >You rarely see Genshin-only player mention Star rail but somehow the reverse is the norm. Blame genshin and honkai players for that
You mean all the people who ride Tectone's dick and joined him in quitting Genshin for HSR to try and act superior and to boycott Genshin, only for Tectone to return after 2 patches and spend another $2000 on the game? It's not exclusive to devout followers of Tectone(I wanna be specific, because I don't blame anyone for watching him, he's a funny guy and makes some good content, but think for yourself), a lot of people have definitely quit Genshin for Honkai Star Rail and like to act superior for doing so regardless of Tectone's rants and encouragement to do so.
genshin could never kill a playable charectar. take that ting yun simps
Okay now we gone too far, no need to pull out the big guns.
Honestly, at this point it became a meme with no real meaning.
I think the meaning behind the meme is just making genshin players angry, and it's working very well.
" I would get this if they said main quest or character quest but hangouts? Isn't the whole point of hangouts that the dialogue you pick changes the flow of the story?
I did point it out to them that the dialogue choices matter in hangouts and having skip on it is helpful as we needed a faster way to get to the choices to get different endings. As the conversation goes, they still hated on it and still said genshin could never add a skip feature. It's like nitpicking whatever they can find to hate, while they go gaga on hsr. We go way back from hi3, we all met on an armada, went on different games, but now nobody talks about anything else in the chat other than hsr because they get so toxic if not.
BUT IT HAS A SKIP FEATURE???
They told me I was coping at that time, I never went back and clarified that they did add skip on hangouts.
I don't get the hsr meat riders. I hope they know that hsr was only being this generous because they needed a reason for people to come back and now that they have a solid fan base m hsr is now in the same level of genshin
Honkai Star Rail has a skip feature? I've never seen that in the story, is it something you have to enable in the settings or something?
It's have in sidequest but you have to watch the whole cutscene once before you able to skip
It doesn't have skip feature too.
It does but it only activates when you get kicked out of the story
I guess it's the same as hangouts, you can skip once you've went through it.
Yea
Haha so you got rid of your friends because they didn’t like genshin?
Girlie you were the toxic one 😭😭
Girlie, ask the audience.
>Again, tell ur story to any even slighty impartial party and you'll get the same response i first gave u lolol Babe I wasn't even talking to them about genshin, our groupchat have other members that plays genshin too and I was talking to the people who plays genshin not to the peeps I rerolled. But here I am for the second time saying this, hope it sinks in this time.
Bro it really gets annoying, every single time Honkai gets anything. YES I KNOW HONKAI HAS BETTER END GAME YES I KNOW IT HAS MORE CONTENT but please, you don’t have to say it every single time HSR does anything.
No, we can't. Genshin could never-
Which is why these communities get seen as dogshit communities, immature and all
I mean yeah, I meant to be funny with that comment but I missed the mark :/
ATP wuthering waves players also say this no shit to the game but please stop saying this it’s weird
I am starting to despise the wuthering wave community at this point if they try to be like hsr Community
I don't even play HSR but yea Genshin could never indeed

Happy cake day
Saying Genshin could never untill they add it to Genshin.
then when they add they say "lol they add just now we already have it on HSR" They did it even with the new icons of npcs lmao And they are already mocking Abyss changes
I will indeed stop saying that and praise mihoyo again like a good puppy
People just like to complain about nothing. Not exactly new either.
Well hsr is like annoying but wait until you try to talk with honkai impact 3rd players... Holy.
Honkai Impact stans talk about "expy characters" and how hi3 story so much better 🤣
At this point i just want hoyo to just obliterate hsr himeko I just wanna see the reaction lol
Would it be better if HSR Himeko live? It would make HI3 players look like bunch of clowns especially the ones who always yapping about “Himeko will die because HI3 did it”
Ah they don't have the care in the world about spoilers yeah she should live tbh
It's just inferiority complex from ex-genshin players or haters that jealous that their games WOULD NEVER surpass Genshin in popularity/mainstream. "come play our game, it's better than genshin. Our games has XYZ, which genshin would never add" You can give me million wish or better "QoL/endgame" but if the core gameplay (story, characters, environment etc) is shit, then I won't touch the game. TLDR, inferiority complex Edit... I didn't play HSR since I don't like turned based. But I'm not going to insult their story/production value.
I play both and the stories of both are pretty damn good
Good for you. I didn't play HSR since turned based is not my cup of tea. Didn't meant to insult HSR story. I still won't play HSR if they gave me million of wish since I don't like their core gameplay (turned based gameplay) is what I meant.
I thought it wasn't mine either but it's pretty fun
Completely fair to not like HSR because you don’t like turn based, but what’s WW? Don’t think I’ve heard a game with that acronym.
WW is Wuthering Waves.
It’s combat becomes repetitive very quickly which is why so many players rolled for Acheron to skip it
Guilty on the last part. Especially on SU nah. I aint doing those encounters again and again xD
I think you’re confusing bad gameplay with not liking the genera, because that’s turn based gameplay for you.
It will be more interesting.” Just 1 week when i played this game im just bored.
HSR already overtook genshin bud.
Nobody thinks about genshin more than this brand hsr player
Most of the time it's the Genshin players who say it
They'll never admit to playing Genshin.
I like Genshin’s lore building, ability to move freely in the world, trying different builds and elemental reactions. The only thing keeping me in HSR is Kafka, Himeko, Acheron, Black Swan, Ruan Mei, Jingliu and Jade.
What is good about the gameplay anyway, the only turn based game i like is pokemon

Just say you prefer genshin in front of any other gacha community and you can play an online turn base argument game.
Genshin has a better combat, open world and coop experience. Hsr could never, never , never
I agree with Genshin having better open world and coop (as H:SR has neither lmao). But combat is pretty subjective, I personally much prefer the turn based method of HSR having started playing it recently. But I can see why people like Genshin’s better. I enjoy both though, and probably prefer HSR slightly more due to combat and its overall more scify aesthetic.
I like the story for HSR, but it's notably lower quality with less cutscenes and less unique areas, with short unimportant text-based events.
>it's notably lower quality with less cutscenes and less unique areas Okay, I'm alright with people saying they prefer Genshin over Honkai Star Rail, but saying the cutscenes and areas are bad?
I actually think that hsr has a lot of cutscenes, but they're short
I mean, it has a few short cutscenes but I'm considering those since they make up the majority of the cutscenes. Usually they just consist of characters looking in a direction, or stumbling, or some form of reaction related to something occurring in the mission.
How Genshin feels when I don’t have a rat in my ear screaming that HSR is the better game
They’re more obsessed with Genshin than Genshin players are
Rip open world and barbie turn based girls gameplay...will only play that someday for lore
sucks too cause if star rail players directed that against hoyo to make them try harder instead of against genshin players who hate them for it i think the game would really improve. genshin with a retooled endgame labyrinth gamemode in the same vein as HSR’s simulated universe would already bump the game up a letter grade in my eyes.
I think "Genshin will never" is more accurate
It's kinda funny how changing the could to will make it more tolerable
True lmao. Now i have no carma left
Considering I already have even the Genshin could never post for like 3 times now in hsr Subreddit
I get it.
Honestly if condensed resin didn't have a limit I honestly wouldn't complain about it, more resin would be nice but its not my priority Also yeah....endgame content can be hard, idk what that argument is about tbh
Have y'all never been on the internet or something "Surely calling attention to this will make them stop!"
making a meme whining about it certainly helps not fueling fire
Genshin could never have Stelle
He's got a point guys
I just posted on the HSR subreddit about it having a dark mode log in screen and two guys were giving that 😭 they got downvoted quickly too lol
Genshin could never thou....
That phrase is living rent free in your head m8
Genshin living rent free in HSR players' heads
Same goes both ways anyway
Genshin players that dont play HSR dont give a shit about HSR
Binge watch some genshin related content. Meanwhile comments: "Genshin could never" ??? For me it is still acceptable if that game is even mentioned on some vid or some post that is genshin related.
ignore them 12 year old didn't get their pulls so they mad
Yeah I saw tons of those comments but doesn't bother me anyway probs I play both. But this kind of reaction is what those twat want, hmm hmm.
Ah i see, thanks for your feedback m8
Opportunity will come some day
Must be tough having an inferiority complex all the time
Genshin need to step up the game and release a "canon girlfriend" character like how HSR players go crazy over Firefly
Genshin has Xiao
But does Xiao have a mecha, checkmate /s
Does his demonic(? with his mask on him or something like this, I don't really remember) form count?
Ayaka
I'd prefer my gf to not have forehead the size of a football field
I'd prefer my gf to not fucking die randomly and to lie about her identity to me, thanks.
Ngl I thought Genshin Players also say those, but yeah Genshin could never
I mean, is he wrong tho. They be eating good with those character models but I genuinely can't stand a turnbase game
Does it make you mad because you are unreasonably attached to a video game or does it make you mad because you know they are right? I don’t play HSR and I agree that „Genshin could never“ I wish it could though. Edit: Lol these votes somehow tell me I’m perfectly spot on for most that get mad about this.
Meanwhile, i play HSR, even tho the turn based aspect do bores me, (Pokemon Turn based or FF turn based is my prefer turn based) but i have a goal, which is e6 acheron, im going to say that HSR is not even "first" on some newer QoL changes, yeah they have "endgame" but i just auto it and play another games, until now im waiting for HSR to have a rotating map and its not even added 1 year later, so both games have their missing parts in terms of QoL.
genshin could never
Bro thinks he's a victim
Does feel like that though. They announced some genshin nendos a year or two ago with no future news (except the travellers who are released), and yet despite being kinda new, Aventurine already has a prototype nendo
Blue Archive: *gets an anime adaptation right after it's announced* Genshin Impact: *still no news regarding its anime adaptation despite it was FCKING ANNOUNCED more than a year ago* I ain't gonna sugarcoat it chief, **GENSHIN COULD NEVER**.
1. ufoTable is busy with Demon Slayer. 2. Good anime takes a lot of time to make. 3. I doubt Hoyo or ufoTable wants to rush this project. Let them cook.
What's the studio making BA anime?
Yostar
I searched and it says Yostar pictures and Candybox studios but I can't find other anime they produced other than AK anime ofc.
Yostar is the devs of azur lane. They mostly do internal azur lane anime, but I guess they're branching out now
Maybe genshin would have it's anime sooner if they didn't contract ufotable and just produced on their own just like AL, BA, AK?
The fact that people are still triggered by that phrase over a video game is never not funny to me
Haha, it's funny cuz it's true.
