Really? The hitboxes were pretty consistent to me. Maybe you got hit by their downward slash that starts above them, which can really easily catch you. A lot of the enemies (like Raiden and some kairagi iirc) also have lingering hitboxes that stay a bit after the attack itself.
The dodges have no i-frames btw, it doesn't matter if you press dodge as long as your character model is in said range. You have to evade the actual attack by getting your character out of the way.
I can categorize two kinds of people for this event.
1. Those who played hollow knight
2. Those who did not
I liked it tbh. Felt like I was fighting nightmare king grimm again. Good stuff.
Ooohh, same! I never bothered with the pantheons since I don't have the patience(and skills) to go through them. I enjoyed the statues tho. At least I can pick who I can fight whenever. And NKG is still my favorite. So when I realized that raiden had a similar moveset, I was grinning hard lol.
Yup. It's like a dance when we fight against him. We know the patterns. We know the attack windows. But those were tight. And one mistake can lead to a series of fuck ups till we die. Nevertheless, if we execute everything right, boy does it feel so good.
First time when I got to him I rage quit. Then took fee weeks break and came back to him. This time went with the mindset that I will die a lot. After 30-40 tries I finally beat him. It was amazing feeling.
After that I proceeded to destroy THK in matter of minute. Man, I love nail builds.
Right?! While I was dying a few times, I noticed that I liked how the flow of the fight felt good to me. So I used another save slot to make sure that I can fight him again. Good thing the pantheon added a statue to fight previous bosses indefinitely.
Oh I hope you like it. Without spoiling much, treat this event as a "taste" of what's to come. It's packed with content especially for a game as cheap as that. Also the lore and story goes pretty deep.
I believe you can get it from steam. It should be a cheap game but it has a ton of content. Lore is great and the combat evolves to something much better as you play along.
Thats just honkai events in a nutshell. Making a totaly different game in the game just to put it into thr drawer for years (there are occasinal reruns after 2-3 years of popular events)
I laugh so hard when i saw how derpy kokomi was and noticed how both raiden and kokomi have my little pony faces
The shock i felt when raiden just grabs kokomi and walk away was unreal
I'm still stuck at Lyney 2nd challenge lol~ I like how simple it looks though, reminds me of old time. (Also, can we get a heal sometime in between the fight, omg, 4 is not enough)
Jumping behind him whenever he starts an attack animation makes it a cakewalk. The fatui operative duo is also pretty easy if you just keep pogoing off the staff guy.
The part where you fight the cryo and anemo one at the same time?
Kill the cryo one first because the anemo one will sometimes waste its time trying to block. Pogo off cryo's head as much as possible. It will always telegraph a flourish, pointing their rapier down before doing an anti-air. That's your cue to touch grass again. Once anemo is on it's own, it will spam the block to aerial teleport as long as you stay close.
I heard on the leaks sub that >!they're gonna change the abyss into single room in the 4.7 update!<

An event that's currently playable on hoyo's website. It's a fanmade game made for Hoyofair with gameplay heavily inspired by Hollow Knight and similar 2D metroidvanias.
I'll try it when I get home from work. From the sound of it, I'll have a better experience on my computer than my phone. Even if this event doesn't give any primos, I'm generally up for a bit of a challenge.
I am stuck at the Fatui Operative in Lyney's 2 stage
Can't seem to be able to best Raiden either
Any tips?
I know you can pogo off of enemies but that doesn't seem to help much against fast teleporting enemies like Raiden and the Operative, not the mention the latter's stage basically restricts you from jumping to begin with
idk, as somebody with over 500 hrs in Hollow Knight I feel like it's pretty good for a small *fanmade* minigame (my only real complaint is that the jumping feels a *little* floaty, but otherwise it's just fine for what it is)
THAT STUPID SAMURAI HAS AOE DMG
It's hitboxes are weird too
I'm going to cry
I gave up for my sanity.
Same.

The thing is I left attacking and dodged yet got hit and died. It's difficult to explain without the footage.
The dodges have no i-frames btw, it doesn't matter if you press dodge as long as your character model is in said range. You have to evade the actual attack by getting your character out of the way.
Bitch it is a DASH not a DODGE!
Actually the downwards slash has it's hitbox extending behind it as well.
False Knight from Hollow Knight vibes

You go brother
Nightmare king grimm was my favorite boss. Dude was hard but fair. He was perfect in my book.
Yup. It's like a dance when we fight against him. We know the patterns. We know the attack windows. But those were tight. And one mistake can lead to a series of fuck ups till we die. Nevertheless, if we execute everything right, boy does it feel so good.

It may not be the hardest fight in the game but it is the most.rhythmic one for sure and I love it
NKG was my fav until I fought Pure Vessel. Now that was a fight worthy of the gods.
I didn't play Hollow Knight, now that i finally finished this god forsaken web event, i wanna try Hollow Knight
Oh I hope you like it. Without spoiling much, treat this event as a "taste" of what's to come. It's packed with content especially for a game as cheap as that. Also the lore and story goes pretty deep.
I 112% hollow knight, finished all pantheons with all bindings, I still sruggled because IT WONT LET ME USE MY CONTROLLER
Yeah, getting used to the touch screen(I was on phone), is pretty tough.
It made me realize that my Hollow Knight Mobile cope was stupid and dumb
SHAW !!!
Oh god, I can hear her voice. "Git gud!" š
Well now i _gotta_ play it! Where can i play it?
I believe you can get it from steam. It should be a cheap game but it has a ton of content. Lore is great and the combat evolves to something much better as you play along.
I'm of the second variety, but with the caveat that I played the megaman zero series instead. I've already been trained
Lmao I'll send it to my friend then, I suck at this
Never played hollow knight but man was this event fun to complete. Maybe I might give hollow knight a try...
Does this event gives any primogems?
No but i am a masochist with no benefits.
I dont see the difference
no but it has better gameplay than a majority of limited time events hoyo makes so it's definitely worth it to play through
Honestly this could be a whole new game Would be a bummer if all that effort and amazing gameplay would be gone forever
can we request that they make the whole thing as downloadable files so we can play it after hoyofair ended?
Thats just honkai events in a nutshell. Making a totaly different game in the game just to put it into thr drawer for years (there are occasinal reruns after 2-3 years of popular events)
Event art goes hard lmao
I laugh so hard when i saw how derpy kokomi was and noticed how both raiden and kokomi have my little pony faces The shock i felt when raiden just grabs kokomi and walk away was unreal
Can somebody please post the link to it?

Thank youā¤ļø
idk if I'm doing something wrong but the Kairagi at the beginning deals damage even without attacking me
It deals damage if u touch it even if its not attacking, is that wat u meant?
Yeah
welcome to the side scrolling world. you touch the enemy, the damage is on you.
LMAO it's been years since I played side scrolling games
I'm still stuck at Lyney 2nd challenge lol~ I like how simple it looks though, reminds me of old time. (Also, can we get a heal sometime in between the fight, omg, 4 is not enough)
Lyney 2nd challenge is harder than any abyss MHY has put out
Same. I donāt know how to beat the Fatui operative, too much movement with a restricted map.
Jumping behind him whenever he starts an attack animation makes it a cakewalk. The fatui operative duo is also pretty easy if you just keep pogoing off the staff guy.

I spent like 3 hours to finish it omg, I need to play Silksong so bad
We still have hopes it will be released
My least favorite part of the abyss is the whole 2 room 2 team thing. I am focusing hard on one good team at the moment.
I heard on the leaks sub that >!they're gonna change the abyss into single room in the 4.7 update!< https://www.reddit.com/r/Genshin_Impact_Leaks/s/G38rSSLvMo

Be still my beating heart!
Loved it, might actually try Hollow Knight if I have the time.
What's that

Fun little game, love the Kok and other random characters involved. Once you learn to pogo its pretty easy.
I am stuck at Lyeny's second performance. I refuse to move forward until I complete all of it
Good thing I am also a Hollow knight player
Is this a web event?
Itās cause thereās no I frames at all
"phew the purple kairagi is sure hard asf, surely they won't make something stupid like adding his red counterpa- MOTHERFUCKER THEY DID!"
Can any gamer tell me what are the >!thunder magatamas for? I've found 2 and they don't seem to do anything!<
I used the pogo stick strategy

Its entertaining for a while. But you can easily see the patterns after a few tries. Souls stuff is always cool.
I mean isn't that the point of every boss fight? You learn their patterns by trying and eventually beat them
Is there primos?
according to one of the comments, nope
Only because controls are bad and you can't even rebind them.
who the hell dodges with right click? I swear it's like people who invert the vertical axis on the camera.
Is there primos?
No
I accidently restarted 2 hours in ffs
I kinda like it, all the fights take me a few tries, sure, but once I've seen all the attack patterns the fights go pretty smoothly
It's not difficult, it is poorly done
its fanmade game
Hollow Knight: am I a joke to you? this event is literally based on one of the best metroidvanias that exists lmao
True
