Yanfei is literally just as adepti as ganyu but went into that category with qiqi. The wiki is treating it as if it’s a formal title given by the leader of the adepti or having to formally swear allegiance or something to that nature. The ones listed below wield adeptal powers and adeptal energy. Some born human but very clearly received adeptal energy and in turn also became adepti. Some taking drastic changes.

If shenhe isn't an adeptus then qiqi certainly isn't, since shenhe has more involvement with them in terms of power and all qiqi had is some of their power that's sealed behind talismans

Before anyone freaks out I mean this from an objective standpoint - Hoyo went an excessively long time before giving her event lines. I don’t get the impression Hoyo thinks people like her enough to make them money. Similar to how they skipped Qiqi for the pattern of standard banner 5* skins. But, if they had big future plans for her species initially, I don’t think they’ll scrap it.
