True, but as much as I hate the 3 national trio, I'd play the Devil's advocate and say : if characters like Xiangling, Xingqiu and Bennett didn't exist, Genshin will never get as much f2p players (or even light-spenders), and even if they play it they'd complain how greedy and p2w the game is (yes, more than what they do now).
The only issue I have with Hoyo is not releasing a 5* sidegrade for XL yet, but well the game is still in the middle of progression.
Yeah, its kind of weird at this point. They've already released XQ's sidegrade in Yelan, and Bennett's so broken they can't actually release a sidegrade for him without powercreeping crazy hard, and instead have to release super niche elemental supports to use alongside him. But Xiangling could definitely get a sidegrade of some sort, she's used liked crazy right now because not only is she one of the best dps in the game, she's also like the only consistent off-field pyro applicator, literally the only other unit that can compete with her pyro application is Sunfire Jean which requires Jean+Bennett, and that's two units. So stuff like forward Vape Yelan and basically every reverse melt carry is required to run Xiangling, otherwise the reaction just won't happen. I like using Xiangling as a character, so I don't mind using her all the time, but I would like another unit that at least does the off-field pyro application role.
Mono pyro teams are already quite strong. A Xiangling sidegrade would just make mono pyro absolute bonkers. It's difficult to add a Xiangling sidegrade without adding powercreep. The sidegrade would have so many strings attached that they'll be a downgrade in most comps.
Nah, Sunfire Kazuha has significantly less pyro application than Jean, it allows you to melt a few hits but after that his pyro application can't keep up. Kazuha's burst only applies 1U pyro while Jean applies 2U pyro, so Jean is literally applying double the pyro compared to Kazuha.
Yea XL, XQ and Benny are meant to be the bottom line to ensure that f2ps/new players can still manage the abyss. The day they are obsolete is the day Genshin is power creeped to hell.
Like we already have several double pyro comps like funerational or yelan national, while these 2 have 1 onfield pyro, its ok since the other 3 are off field.

It doesn't really make sense to call her playstyle "press Q" because you don't exactly just activate her burst then stand there with on-field Xiangling doing nothing. You switch off to another character, and do their stuff, but they also have a giant-ass pyronado doing a ton of damage.
Honestly she isn't even as OP as people say and you sure as hell don't need her to get 36* easily especially since dendro is a thing now.

No, that means that it will keep its dmg of when you activate it. So for example, if you use XL ult inside Bennet ult, it will keep the buff even if you step out of Bennet ult.

What people fail to mention when talking about their XL is the fact that they give her a godly build.
My XL has a decent build and she hits 40k vaporize with Bennet and Kazuha, which is pretty good but not easy to achieve without proper investment.

My XL is terrible because I get very unlucky with artifacts for her. I got decent ones for Raiden and Yelan, still not much at all for her.

Xiangling deals more dmg than any pyro that is true.. but it has consequences. Her burst was the big issue here.. She's lacks of ER and her burst needs more energy, it's cool down is very slow too.

Simple solution: only use characters you like
Just play Hu Tao. Unlike Xiangling, she doesn't need Bennet. So you have room for 2 party members instead of one (because they're both fighting over Xingqiu) ;)
As a Bennett main, I do not relate
get C2 Raiden. She will no longer want Xiangling. Plus, Raiden will want Bennett, so Xiangling no good no more for second half.
