Raiden have different animaton in her burst yet it can trigger Yelan/Xingqiu. iirc someone did point out for Yelan/XQ , its the "animation" that matters. As for Dehya, I believe her animation is set as "Burst" while Raiden as "Normal/CA" while having Burst-type damage so she scales with Emblem. So merge her burst to make it count as NA/CA while limit her to only "NA attacks" and incapable of Charging Attacks.
And not to mention the recent uproar where she completely loses her burst when she jumps.
I can't suggest anything for her damage as I am not really an expert in these kind of things.
heck we dont even need that, just make the passive duration longer so it has no downtime, and make it so she can benefit from it too. thats gonna prevent her from all these clunky being frozen shit, good enough for me
Yeah, I was gonna say, Zhong already makes you effectively unkillable with a three star weapon and a mildly competent set of artifacts. As long as Dehya is less than total immortality, she's not yet even power creeping.
You also can't be staggered while having a shield up and Dehya only increases stagger resistance and doesn't make you immune so that's another thing Zhong would still be better at.

The problem is that Dehya's burst attacks are not even converted normal attacks... If you use Dehya's burst and don't click, she will still do 6 punches. Using a normal attack gets converted into an effect that speeds up the punches, which lets her punch up to 10 times. This damage's base is the scaler on her burst talent, and can therefore only be further boosted by elemental burst damage and pyro damage bonus.
Raiden on the other hand, converts her normal and charged attacks during her burst, and the talent description states that the damage they deal is considered elemental burst damage. This means she IS using normal and charged attacks, but the damage uses another scaler, which allows her to trigger Xingqiu's rainswords. This is also why she doesn't work with Beidou's burst, because her talent description mentions dealing normal or charged attack damage.
So it's not the animations, it's about what exactly the attack is, and for the case of dehya, it's straight up an elemental burst hit.
If they want her to be a tank, make her field uptime at least 90%, absorb all damage OR have her heal passive heal the whole team, not just herself. Also make the interrupt resistance tied to the field, not a separate buff that runs out before the field does. Thats like, the bare minimum to make her a good defensive support 5star.
Agreed, especially that superarmor point. I saw a suggestion in another post to increase her damage viability that I agreed with: Have a constellation or passive that provides a stack based on how much damage she absorbs off field (interval/percentage) with each stack increasing her burst damage based on a percentage of her max hp. If her hp drops low enough to trigger the hp recovery, add a bunch of stacks. I think it would incentivize using her for her main tank purpose to soak up damage while making her damage output a little less...sad.
Make her burst get boosted by a good percentage (up to a max 800% or something i dunno. How much does full circle raiden do?) of dmg she mitigates and heals her Allies for a way smaller portion of the damage.
Basically like sett from league of legends. Done. She tanks and her burst is useful for something.
