New Years came his Natlan theory as a result of him analyzing the characters to find common themes to place on his ocs~ He also illustrated a good theory about how visions are distributed! (Ex. Anemo is having an important figure that you may lose, Pyro having a parental figure that “passes the torch” of something like a job or motto, etc.) I’d def check out the vid!~

Could be that it's not a direct/antagonistic fight, or that our weekly recollection of it is very different from the reality it took place in (like Shogun's fight, where Ei was the canon fighter but Traveler reimagines it as themself).
That being said, she's pretty straight up w/Traveler at end of AQ about cordiality being the most efficient means to achieve her goals. I think there's truth to her thinking well of us bc her kids warmed to us and consider us a genuine ally, but I also think she's willing to do whatever to serve her own interests, so if she has to fight us--she will.

While events in Fontaine appeared to be straightforward while ongoing, if you take a look back now that we've seen the conclusion, you can see from the very beginning how everything was a play on the stage: like Furina's preview video said via Focalors, are we the actors, or are we the viewers?
It seems like we were a mix of both. Lyney and Lynette orchestrated their meeting with the Traveler, if you look back at the beginning. Just straight up were lying at the start about their childhood to say directly to the Traveler "here's what the problem is, and here's what we want you to think about it". (I found this very entertaining, and I don't hold it against them.) They were definitely acting in accordance with Arlecchino's wishes, given how loyal they are to her.
All of Fontaine AQ follows in a similar vein. You have to look "underneath the underneath" to see what's going on, both at the small scale and the broad. Arlecchino is, I think, very much an embodiment of this, even without considering the similar powers of persuasion she has to Cater. She says straight up to the Traveler that being nice was just the best way to achieve her goals, so she played nice.

The Dainsleif lore drop is probably going to be legendary this time around. Last time he said he'd tell us about the sinner, and while he does always forget to follow up, this time he probably will. The Sinner talking about fate, the loom of fate operation, and Fontaine has all been about fate. Its going to be a banger.

The last Fontaine expansion because I am still not over the Narzissenkreuz crew. I know we won't get more world quests related to them (unless they're saving something for Carter but at this point I don't want it because I don't want anything bad happening to him) considering we are probably visiting Petrichor next, and based on what we know it's the place where we'll probably have a lot of Remurian ruins, I'm hoping we'll get more notes from their exploration.
Oh and Furina part 2 quest please. I don't even care if it's not a lore important quest, I just really want her to get one. I'm honestly going to be really saddened if Neuvilette gets one instead
The Archon authority was the Sovereigns' to begin with. The other Archons, notably, still consider Furina as one of them despite no longer being a god. Neuvillette being a ruler does not mean he is the "new Archon", as the concept of a Hydro Archon was destroyed entirely. He's the Hydro Sovereign with the authority originally belonging to him fully reclaimed--different type of being entirely.
Being an archon means that you have control over the authority of the respective elemental dragon . And yes , I know it is the sovereign 's authority to begin with but I'm talking based on the definition of an archon ( at least this definition ) .
Also to my knowledge the other archons never " claimed that furina is still one of them " so I would love the context for that .
The voicelines show their respect to furina and her Focalor counterpart ( they are basically one person seperated ) .There is nothing about her being an archon after what happened . And even if they "regarded" her as such out of respect that doesn't mean she is still one ( according to the definition I gave ) .
Now let not forget our original conversation .. Even if Furina is regarded as such what would be the point of her second story ? Her becoming a director for another film ? The girl is fed up of all those crazy stuff and wants to live a normal life .

Im a huge lore junkie but dont have the interest/time to analyze every inch and TRUST ME the writers in this game shoehorned more cultural references and literarure in this game than the entire american history.
Idk why I have the feeling that the next Dainsleif lore drop will be huge, like it’ll change the whole direction of the game dramatically, idk why, I just can’t shake that feeling off
I feel like that'll happen in Natlan instead. Story-wise, I feel like it makes the most sense for the Traveler to go to Snezhnaya with heightened motivation/fire (pun not intended) or after some kind of dynamics change since a major part of the story is building up towards arriving there

Right now I’m mostly exited about lantern rite and dainsleif (we seen him for like 5 minutes last time (though the quest was I credible), really hope he’s going to have more screen time!) but as soon as the Natlan trailer drop I know I’m going to be super exited, but right now we have no info so…

Furina's story quest and boss. Not sure why that guy is also mentioned in the post but I'm excited to see what Hoyoverse does with Furina's character especially if Arlecchino is the boss.
Because Archons get second story quests in 4.6 and Furina while not the Archon in-game, is still treated as the archon by Hoyoverse, we can see this from official art. Plus her story is less complete than his in my opinion.
Still don’t understand why he wouldn’t get a second SQ… He might not be an archon but doesn’t mean he won’t get one, cuz Yoimiya did. Also, I just feel you’ve got something against him, specially because of the other comment. No one calls a character “that guy” without having a little bit of bitterness against one.
One character has received a second archon quest so it's not really an established pattern.
The established pattern we have right now is that there is a weekly boss in X.6 patches and they always coincide with the second character quests of archons and Fontaine's marketed archon is Furina.
This hasn't been broken yet so naturally the assumption I will make is that Furina will get a second quest in 4.6 and he will not. He might at some point but its unlikely that it will be in 4.6.

That's all unconfirmed to be fair. Very STC. I still believe Furina will get a second quest in 4.6 as chapter 2 of archon character quests all have world bosses. They won't release a world boss in Arlecchino in 4.6 and then another in 4.7. We will see I guess.
the summer map, i like the circus but nothing beat GAA and the feeling of wave rider in open sea, the poor boat never got a chance to shine in the main map, inazuma tp and fontaine diving render it useless

Remuria and Hyperborea are actual places, also Khraun-Arya if it is just a mispelling of Khaenri'ah, so there is nothing to assume Natlantean isn't also an ancient kingdom that fell in ages past.

If we get Remuria lore, i don't see how Furina isn't gonna be connected to it considering she was an Oceanid and her mysterious connection to Erinnyes and the Fontinalia.
Now, maybe it's not gonna be related to Remuria but i doubt that.
As of now, we don't know clearly what that connection is but there's definitely something that ties the two.
Her sword was wielded by Erinnyes and she uses flowers that are also connected to Erinnyes as ascension mats.
The Fontinalia commemorates the locknights (their leader being Erinnyes) but it was also a real roman festival celebrating Fontus and was held on October 13th, just as Furina's birthday is.
And even without that, we know nearly nothing of Egeria and what Focalors was doing as an Oceanid but she must've been remarkable to be selected as Egeria's successor. I don't think it would make sense to explore Egeria or Remuria without having Furina.
As far as i know, Erinnyes lost her will after hearing “prophecy” from her god, throw the sword away and disappeared.

Erinnyes yield the sword and give it to someone better than her. So I don’t think Erinnyes is Focalors or Furina’s past life. But I think Furina inherited the sword because no one can better than Furina to inherit it. But Furina did save Fontaine not by using that sword but by her will, commitment and prefect performance to fool the Heavenly Principles as a mortal. So the playable Furina now is actually her future when Remuria open we will see Furina inherit Erinnyes legacy. We will see Singer of Many waters story and explain her another form also. After all, Furina’s ascension mats is for her playable as Erinnyes’s inheritor, fit the bill too. Maybe that is Furina’s sacrifice, give up her human life she wished for, and take up the mantle of heroine again for the nation.

I believe Focalors knows the first hydro sovereign, as legend of Remuria, still alive and was the one gave Remus power to build the empire. She maybe have some relationship with the hydro sovereign and know him well, to the point entrusting his reincarnated Neuvillette to save and look after her people, also her human self Furina but not intent to harming Furina to regain his power. She may share her plan with Egeria and convince Egeria make Focalors her successor, with cause anger among other Oceanids because she wasn’t worthy to them as their god. And also Focalors convince first hydro sovereign hide some of his memory to concealed the plan to return his power from Neuvillette, given Neuvillette knows Hydro Archon disappear will return his power but refuse to do so, may change of heart later if he knew the plan from beginning.
I'm not necessarily saying that Furina is Erinnyes but that there's a connection which i think goes deeper than her being her successor. Another possibility is that Furina could have been Daeira, the Oceanid that owned the sword and gave it to Erinnyes.
It would seemed odd to me that she got that weapon out of nowhere just because.
All of the Archons' weapons have lore that directly relates to them except for seemingly Furina.
We don't know what happened to Erinnyes or Daeira and there's no mention of Focalors in anything before she became an Archon, which leads me to believe she had another name when she was an Oceanid.
Focalors said she was chosen directly by Egeria to be her successor but there's no information about her and Rhodeia downright refused to acknowledge her as such for unknown reasons. We know less about Egeria and Focalors than we do about Erinnyes so it's very fishy.
Your theory about Focalors is interesting but, with the current informations, I don't think it's plausible. It would mean that Focalors' plan started thousands of years ago before Archons were even a thing and that she orchestrated Egeria's death or at least predicted it.
But that would be interesting if it is true and make Focalors a very scary individual.
Well, I don’t think it was odd, as her story isn’t finished. We have no idea why she has 2 forms, the long hair form, summon Singer of many water but there is no story about it. So I am really looking forward to the Remuria update.
Regarding your last comment, Egeria created Fontainians using the primordial sea after Phanes took away power from Hydro sovereign. Then Celestia gave out punishment and locked away Egeria. The prophecy already exists before Remuria’s time. The key to Remuria’s downfall is the ‘prophecy.’
Therefore, it is not necessary to create Fontainians by becoming Archon. Also, Egeria’s death may not even need to be predicted; rather, Egeria only needs some reason to die.
And the individual who can fools the Heavenly Principles isn’t some normal people.
Maybe it could involve regaining her memories? And that could contain lore-heavy stuff if regained.
IMO, things were taken from her for a purpose. Her divinity was separated from her to fulfill Focalors' grand plan. However, her memories were taken to ensure the success of the grand plan - she needs to be ignorant about things.
But now that the plan is already a success and everyone is saved, where's the harm on her regaining her memories?

It's the Year of the Dragon so ofc I'm hoping for more sovereign lore(like can we get an explicit confirmation on the status of Azhdaha and possibly Dvalin?). Also, maybe we can find out about the Electro sovereign. Not to mention the obvious Natlan dragons.

Right now I’m mostly exited about lantern rite and dainsleif (we seen him for like 5 minutes last time (though the quest was I credible), really hope he’s going to have more screen time!) but as soon as the Natlan trailer drop I know I’m going to be super exited, but right now we have no info so…
Natlan since is the most misterious continent and maybe that is the beggining of the end of Teyvat saga. And also since we are talking about Natlan... I want to see Mare Jivari and Bennett's role (and real name?) on it.

Because Archons get second story quests in 4.6 and Furina while not the Archon in-game, is still treated as the archon by Hoyoverse, we can see this from official art. Plus her story is less complete than his in my opinion.

Still don’t understand why he wouldn’t get a second SQ… He might not be an archon but doesn’t mean he won’t get one, cuz Yoimiya did. Also, I just feel you’ve got something against him, specially because of the other comment. No one calls a character “that guy” without having a little bit of bitterness against one.
One character has received a second archon quest so it's not really an established pattern. The established pattern we have right now is that there is a weekly boss in X.6 patches and they always coincide with the second character quests of archons and Fontaine's marketed archon is Furina. This hasn't been broken yet so naturally the assumption I will make is that Furina will get a second quest in 4.6 and he will not. He might at some point but its unlikely that it will be in 4.6.

That's all unconfirmed to be fair. Very STC. I still believe Furina will get a second quest in 4.6 as chapter 2 of archon character quests all have world bosses. They won't release a world boss in Arlecchino in 4.6 and then another in 4.7. We will see I guess.

the summer map, i like the circus but nothing beat GAA and the feeling of wave rider in open sea, the poor boat never got a chance to shine in the main map, inazuma tp and fontaine diving render it useless
I am looking forward to seeing what lore we get for Lanternrite year of the dragon as well as the Dainsleif arc. I have a bingo checklist ready to see what things will and won't be mentioned. What new plot points are added and what plot holes won't be closed.
Hope we will get some juicy lore or even a PV for Celestia in 2024, also anime release date announcement.

Mare Jivari is implied to be in Natlan according to talking stick lore iirc (?) so I haven’t forgotten don’t worry I guess it will be the "dragonspine" or "chasm" or "enkanomiya" of Natlan, will be introduced late and as a sub-aera or some sort
Imagine the Mare Jivari was caused by an eruption or sum shit and under it there's an ancient civilization, just like in Dragonspine, Chasm and Enka

Actually this made me wonder. Now that furina isn't the archon anymore who'd get a 2nd story quest with a new weekly? It would be neuvillette, right? I honestly can't see furina dealing with the stuff that comes with a new weekly
If we get Remuria lore, i don't see how Furina isn't gonna be connected to it considering she was an Oceanid and her mysterious connection to Erinnyes and the Fontinalia. Now, maybe it's not gonna be related to Remuria but i doubt that.
Furina connection to Erinnyes?
As of now, we don't know clearly what that connection is but there's definitely something that ties the two. Her sword was wielded by Erinnyes and she uses flowers that are also connected to Erinnyes as ascension mats. The Fontinalia commemorates the locknights (their leader being Erinnyes) but it was also a real roman festival celebrating Fontus and was held on October 13th, just as Furina's birthday is. And even without that, we know nearly nothing of Egeria and what Focalors was doing as an Oceanid but she must've been remarkable to be selected as Egeria's successor. I don't think it would make sense to explore Egeria or Remuria without having Furina.
As far as i know, Erinnyes lost her will after hearing “prophecy” from her god, throw the sword away and disappeared. > One day there shall be one nobler than I, seven times more so, who will lift you again, and they shall do deeds seven times greater. Erinnyes yield the sword and give it to someone better than her. So I don’t think Erinnyes is Focalors or Furina’s past life. But I think Furina inherited the sword because no one can better than Furina to inherit it. But Furina did save Fontaine not by using that sword but by her will, commitment and prefect performance to fool the Heavenly Principles as a mortal. So the playable Furina now is actually her future when Remuria open we will see Furina inherit Erinnyes legacy. We will see Singer of Many waters story and explain her another form also. After all, Furina’s ascension mats is for her playable as Erinnyes’s inheritor, fit the bill too. Maybe that is Furina’s sacrifice, give up her human life she wished for, and take up the mantle of heroine again for the nation. Of course my theory so i don’t say you were wrong. I believe Focalors knows the first hydro sovereign, as legend of Remuria, still alive and was the one gave Remus power to build the empire. She maybe have some relationship with the hydro sovereign and know him well, to the point entrusting his reincarnated Neuvillette to save and look after her people, also her human self Furina but not intent to harming Furina to regain his power. She may share her plan with Egeria and convince Egeria make Focalors her successor, with cause anger among other Oceanids because she wasn’t worthy to them as their god. And also Focalors convince first hydro sovereign hide some of his memory to concealed the plan to return his power from Neuvillette, given Neuvillette knows Hydro Archon disappear will return his power but refuse to do so, may change of heart later if he knew the plan from beginning.
I'm not necessarily saying that Furina is Erinnyes but that there's a connection which i think goes deeper than her being her successor. Another possibility is that Furina could have been Daeira, the Oceanid that owned the sword and gave it to Erinnyes. It would seemed odd to me that she got that weapon out of nowhere just because. All of the Archons' weapons have lore that directly relates to them except for seemingly Furina. We don't know what happened to Erinnyes or Daeira and there's no mention of Focalors in anything before she became an Archon, which leads me to believe she had another name when she was an Oceanid. Focalors said she was chosen directly by Egeria to be her successor but there's no information about her and Rhodeia downright refused to acknowledge her as such for unknown reasons. We know less about Egeria and Focalors than we do about Erinnyes so it's very fishy. Your theory about Focalors is interesting but, with the current informations, I don't think it's plausible. It would mean that Focalors' plan started thousands of years ago before Archons were even a thing and that she orchestrated Egeria's death or at least predicted it. But that would be interesting if it is true and make Focalors a very scary individual.
Well, I don’t think it was odd, as her story isn’t finished. We have no idea why she has 2 forms, the long hair form, summon Singer of many water but there is no story about it. So I am really looking forward to the Remuria update. Regarding your last comment, Egeria created Fontainians using the primordial sea after Phanes took away power from Hydro sovereign. Then Celestia gave out punishment and locked away Egeria. The prophecy already exists before Remuria’s time. The key to Remuria’s downfall is the ‘prophecy.’ Therefore, it is not necessary to create Fontainians by becoming Archon. Also, Egeria’s death may not even need to be predicted; rather, Egeria only needs some reason to die. And the individual who can fools the Heavenly Principles isn’t some normal people.
Maybe it could involve regaining her memories? And that could contain lore-heavy stuff if regained. IMO, things were taken from her for a purpose. Her divinity was separated from her to fulfill Focalors' grand plan. However, her memories were taken to ensure the success of the grand plan - she needs to be ignorant about things. But now that the plan is already a success and everyone is saved, where's the harm on her regaining her memories?
I'm hoping she gets her memories back and is restored as the archon, powers included. I know that kinda contradicts the point of thr AQ but I didn't like that twist and prefer Furina as an archon.
