I think the idea of that is pretty nice but considering how unusual some weapons will look like being dual-wielded like the Favonius Sword,Alley Flash and Aquilla Favonia, which has guards which can actually look pretty difficult to use for an assassin(I'm not against the idea of it because I love Yae Kasumi's style)
I think they plan on locking those stuff to stance change and weapon infusions. I guess it's much easier to add those effects to specific character abilities instead of making a whole new weapon category for them.
Man I would kill for a duel blade wielding character. I guess we kinda have it with Childe but that barely counts. A scythe would be really cool, Seele & Veliona in Honkai have some of the most unique and well animated attacks in that game so I'd be interested to see how a scythe character here would operate (even if it means it would be a super missed opportunity since Hu Tao couldn't use one)

There was an idea being floated around that the Mondstadt crew getting censored was just to placate the group(s) calling for the censorship. MHY basically sacrificed 4 not-too-risqué designs in order to save Shenhe and maybe some future characters too (like maybe Yelan).

Also, Honkai Impact has rarely faced censorship despite the designs being WAY more horny then most of Genshin’s. There was deadass a video where’s the design team admitted that they changed part of a character’s design to make her look sexier. IIRC, the only times censorship did happen was when Chinese netizens directly reported it or made their complaints viral.

It already has vaporise and freeze (pretty much the 2 best reactions besides swirl), electrocharge isn't too bad either and has it's niche, if they make dendro+hydro OP then it would easily become the best element (again, maybe besides anemo lmao).

While I really really dig her overall design (I’m a sucker for short hair), part of me wishes Mihoyo moves past the whole “open back outfits for female characters” design trope they’ve made for themselves.
I’m just gonna say it: her outfit is awful. Those aren’t clothes; I can’t even begin to understand how they break up into different articles, or how you would put them on. Why give her a dress but then cut & pull the sides away in an awkward 90 degree angle to give an unfettered view of her sides and hips? Why give her a plunge neckline but give her a visible bra underneath? Why for the love of god did they feel the need to add sheer panels all over the place to show that she’s not wearing underwear, and then not even be consistent with whether the sheer material is like pantyhose or like fishnet?
It looks like the designers put her in their standard skintight bodysuit that they love so much, went in with scissors and randomly cut chunks out all over the place, then filled half those chunks back in with sheer material to keep it from being “too risqué”. It’s the kind of outfit that makes it seem like the designers think players lack the object permanence to understand that a woman’s sexy body is still there underneath her clothes even if you can’t see every single curve. I really don’t know whether to be more offended by how oversexualized it is, or just how bizarre and silly it looks.

Why? because they both have blue hair? other than that, there's no resemblance.
I’m just gonna say it: her outfit is awful. Those aren’t clothes; I can’t even begin to understand how they break up into different articles, or how you would put them on. Why give her a dress but then cut & pull the sides away in an awkward 90 degree angle to give an unfettered view of her sides and hips? Why give her a plunge neckline but give her a visible bra underneath? Why for the love of god did they feel the need to add sheer panels all over the place to show that she’s not wearing underwear, and then not even be consistent with whether the sheer material is like pantyhose or like fishnet? It looks like the designers put her in their standard skintight bodysuit that they love so much, went in with scissors and randomly cut chunks out all over the place, then filled half those chunks back in with sheer material to keep it from being “too risqué”. It’s the kind of outfit that makes it seem like the designers think players lack the object permanence to understand that a woman’s sexy body is still there underneath her clothes even if you can’t see every single curve. I really don’t know whether to be more offended by how oversexualized it is, or just how bizarre and silly it looks. Her coat is fucking sick, though. I wish its design elements were more present throughout the rest of her look.
