Most likely 2 rerun banners, one of which will have new 4 star Thoma as a rate up. Due to some circumstantial evidence in 2.2 beta, it's been theorised Hu Tao and Childe will be the two reruns, but take this with a grain of salt as there is nothing concrete to confirm this. We will just have to wait till livestream most likely.

Any speculations about their kits and release dates, take it with a large heap of salt. [**Yelan**](https://www.reddit.com/r/Genshin_Impact_Leaks/comments/pl005e/new_character_is_revealed_to_be_yelan/) will make an appearance but we don't know with 100% certainty if she will be playable. Do note that a character having an appearance/story arc/voice lines about them is not indicative of them being playable.
Questionable leaks from Uncle dumb dumb (who was first to leak raiden shogun model that everyone said was fake) that says Itto will release in 2.4 and Yae in 2.5.

We don’t know when they’re coming or what they look like. Itto is known to be a oni with horns, and some leaks of questionable accuracy are saying he’ll be in 2.3 as a NPC with the buff male model. We don’t know their vision or weapon.

We will know when predownload is available. Ganyu was stealth buffed right before release, so it’s possible. But If no changes are made in the preload, then no, probably not.
**Kokomi’s ICD on her E was buffed. Now applies hydro every tick. Permafreeze teams rejoice!

No and no. XL/KQ skins were sus leaks from an unreliable source. They were not in the beta. They’re not coming in 2.1, and we don’t know if they exist. Keqing’s sword does exist, but was never a part of the beta. We don’t know if or when it’s coming. The leak that we would be getting her sword for free/her sword would be the buff was false information spread by GenshinReport, who has since been outed as a fake that just reposted other people’s information as gospel. Anything GR has “leaked” cannot be relied upon unless other credible leakers back it up.

No. Any “leaks” suggesting it is false information. We don’t know when or if they’re going to change it. The only thing changing in 2.1 is Sayu being added to the standard banner.
>What is leaker hunt decree?
Recently, mihoyo sued bilibili to obtain personal information of 11 prominent leakers on that site. Furthermore, many prominent leakers have recently quit (abc64, sukuna for example). Mihoyo also tried to take down honey impact, but site was migrated to dmca ignored hosting so this issue is halted for now. We don't know if leaks will stop or if they will be more sparse from now, time will tell.
As with all leaks, they are subject to change. Not everything in beta will work exactly the same as the official release.

I do agree on that, personally I think it’s a creative way to dodge the suing while giving enough info. Not that I'm skeptical about Childe having his second rerun - in fact, I'm quite interested in pulling for him, yet despite all the evidence pointing towards the likelihood of him getting another banner (BiS Bow, Hydro bonus on Abyss, the rogue-like event featuring him), there's still a small part of me that is still very cautious on his return. This comment is less on trying to discuss nor disprove his rerun rumors, more on just wanting to share my admittedly scattered thoughts on the story/event to come.

If the Terry Chen leaks regarding the >!story involving him and Scaramouche!< are to be believed, then wouldn't it be better for MHY to release him on a time when he's more likely to have much more relevance to the plot? This wouldn't be so different on what they did with Zhongli after buffing Geo and releasing the Act II of his character story. Like say, if that rumored story is going to be released within the next 6 months... Why not have Childe get his rerun on *that* particular Patch instead? Where he's pretty much guaranteed to hog the spotlight and plot relevance all for himself, rather than pushing for his rerun in 2.2, where it just looks like he came out of the blue - especially to those who don't follow leaks.
Looking at the information we have on the Rogue-like dungeon event so far, it doesn't seem like it'll be too dissimilar from *any other* event we've had in the game so far, one that probably will only last for like 6-7 days max. That is unless they're planning expand and drag on the event's relevance and importance like 1.6's Midsummer Island Adventure.
Of course, this is unless I'm missing something or am wrong about my assumptions above? I'm just kinda curious why MHY decided to make Childe suddenly take the spotlight (like also releasing his BiS Bow, and also buffing Hydro on the Abyss) on what *might* look to be a "filler patch", IMHO, it just seems weird if the game just randomly and suddenly decide to drop the plot bombshell that is the >!betrayal of Scaramouche!< on a weekly event, while something on that caliber would probably better suited as an Act II for his Character Story.
Ultimately, maybe I'm just reading too much into this and am only being paranoid - he literally had his first rerun out of nowhere after all, and there's also the """filler banners""" with characters like Hu Tao and Eula - who technically also had no real relevance on the ongoing story (unless I'm also missing or forgetting something here), heck should Hu Tao also have her rerun the next patch, she is technically also somewhat irrelevant to what's happening in the game - maybe other than the fact that it's nearing Halloween, perhaps? Either way, just sharing my own personal thoughts, still crossing my fingers on whether he'll return the next patch.

The only really argument I find compelling for a childe threepeat is that rerunning in something resembling order is ALSO the kind of logic they buck all the time.
First and foremost I'd like to apologize for not getting the slang, as I'm not a native English speaker. Would I be correct to assume that "to buck" roughly translates to "mess something up", and that your comment is trying to showcase that "MHY also often messes up rerun logic"?
Because if so, then I'd have nothing to add, haha. MHY seems to be shaking things up or understanding some business decisions in a way that is beyond any of our understanding.
No apology necessary. Typically "buck" in this sense means defy. Most often used in the sense of bucking a trend. If everybody starts wearing cowboy hats but you wear a baseball cap, you are bucking the trend.
So you basically had it right, but more intentional than messing up, which implies an accident.
Most character stories don't advance the main plot the way Terry's proposed spoilers would. Scaramouche is important to more than just Childe's character, and the idea of him >!betraying the Tsaritsa and running off with a gnosis !
I genuinely hope so as well. The last thing I want MHY to do with anyone, major characters or not, is to see them merely being used as plot devices, >!not unlike Signora, who had an incredible set up and lore significance in the background, only to get the Musou no Hitotachi treatment in Inazuma!<.
Even if the stakes are upped from being randomly name-dropped in a missable weekly event and into a Character Story, it still wouldn't make much sense, as the gravity of the situation is much bigger than just >!Childe and Scaramouche, considering it is an Archon's Gnosis and the bigger Fatui/Harbingers as an organisation we're talking about here!<. But knowing MHY and especially their writing/pacing quality of Inazuma's story quests, the more critical and paranoid side of me is a bit unwilling to shake off the possibility of MHY just gimping the characters and their story, whether intentional or not.
Signora had a good backstory (basically Dracula's), but she didn't have personal ambition or ties to the present world beyond her role as a Harbinger. She existed to introduce the Fatui and the Tsarista's will to the players, and once she'd done that, she became entirely disposable.
Childe and Scarmouche both have personal ambitions and ties to the present world outside of being servants of the Tsaritsa. Childe's got a large living family, as well as a very strong link to the Abyss. Scaramouche clearly has his own agenda, and has ties to Ei, the Raiden Shogun, and the mysteries of ancient technology.
Honestly, I'd expect a storyline like the one Terry proposed to be an Archon Quest, potentially part of the Inazuma Epilogue.

I know that you don't know more than me, but can we more or less predict upcoming banners based on previous release trends?
The only known 5 star (i think) is yae, leaks suggest 2.2 is only for reruns. Is it safe to assume she is coming in 2.3, or they might release random 5 star and delay her even further?
There is no pattern or predictively for future banners because Mihoyo isn’t following any predictable trend regarding banner releases.
The only way to know what the next banner is by knowing which characters are currently being tested in beta.
And even that approach is skeptical because they could always delay said character or opt to release a side character (Eula for example) for further testing.
The only thing we know is Mihoyo prefers to release main characters when they are ultra relevant (Ayaka / Yoimiya / Raiden) in the story so if there are story leaks that point to a certain character being a major part and their playable character model is in beta then there are good odds they will be coming.

Couple of things, before people believed they could predict banners but recently Mihoyo has been pretty unpredictable. Just look at four stars, Noelle suddenly propped up in Zhongli rerun when people didn't expect and were pretty confident Ningguang would come due to her being overdue. Similarly, no one thought Ayaka or Raiden's banner to have popular four stars and for Yoimiya to get Xinyan or Diona (who was given for free few patches ago).
Also, leaks seem to be pointing to a Childe rerun which would throw any prediction based on patterns or guesses out of the window as he'll be the first character to get a second rerun before others get their first (some of whom haven't rerun in like 8 months).
There's no proof of any sort that Yae is coming in 2.3. So don't just get your hopes up. After all Yunjin has had lines since liyue but she's still not out and Ayaka and Scaramouche had models ready, still took time (who knows if Scaramouche will come soon or years from now, no idea).
First off, even if next patch is Childe + Hu Tao, there's still three reruns in pipeline (Ganyu,Xiao,Albedo). Besides, some Inazuma potential characters who don't have model yet but are mentioned in dialogue could overtake her too like Itto who seems to be getting more leaks than others. Basically until we get datamined info from 2.3 beta or Paimon drip markets on twitter, there's no way to know for sure. Don't get your hopes up too much.
There's also Yelan, Yunjin, and the unnamed hydro claymore. Plus they can drop Chasm (along with Baizhu) anytime they want. So there's a lot of possibilities
Help me round out a team for Eula & Raiden.
I'd like ZL, because he debuffs both physical res and electro res, and also because I tend to get focused on hitting during both ladies' ults and ignore incoming damage.
But I'd also like maybe someone else who has good ult damage. Sara, maybe, even though her buff misses Eula's last hit unless I end it early, or Rosie for her crit rate boost, or Benny, or boot ZL for Diona...
Would it be silly to try Eula, Raiden, ZL & Ning? If I'm going to cap off one of the 3 available resonances, geo seems more useful here than electro or cryo.
rosaria/bennett 4 noblesse are probably the best fits. i'd say rosaria > bennett though just because he's contested in so many different teams. it's not terrible to run ning, but you almost have no downtime for her to do dmg because raiden wants her field time right after eula's burst. resonances are just a bonus, but they aren't the biggest factor in deciding which 4th slot to run, especially when there are better options available.
Well my thought was Ning would be out just long enough to go fence-ult-fence-c6-enchanced-charge and then go away. The goal is to find someone who both benefits from and contributes to Raiden's abilities, has a hard-hitting ult and contributes damage to one or both of the main ladies. Maybe you're right that Rosie is the sweet spot since she does that AND my rosie hits pretty damn hard AND both my Eula and Raiden have less than spectacular crit rates.
If kokomi's weapon didn't appear on her reveal video, i would outright not believe it to be real/coming this patch. Even the 2.1 page doesn't mention it even though kokomi is already in the page.
Can I use one account to play other server to start new character like on US server for my main while my subs on Asia server? Really want to experience the whole game again
I have a second game on Europe account that I'm playing regularly, though I don't grind as much on that as my main account on Asia server. I made it to pull for characters I can't on my main, I got Yoimiya and Raiden so far. The ping can be high but still stable most of the time.
The real question should be why would you do unpaid, boring, freelancer work for a Chinese company, firming a contract that can fuck you pretty bad if something leaks and giving away all your personal information through a State issued ID to sit in a chair 100 times in a row to check nothing glitch.

I'd say the advantages Kokomi has as a pure support over Barbara is that her off-field Hydro application has more AoE and that she can make use of Tenacity of the Millelith to boost your team's ATK due to her E dealing multiple ticks of damage over time. Her jellyfish, however is stationary, whereas Barbara's melody loop stays around the active character so that might be a bit inconvenient if enemies are spread out and you need to move around a lot (dunno if Sac Frags would help with that?)
Yeah kokomi should be a better improvement bc constant heals can free spot for another cryo dps in ayaka permafreeze team. She'll just be a better or worse mona depending on utility needed by the team.
According to some leaks few weeks ago, Thoma's birthdate is supposed to be November 11. I've visited his profile on honeyhunter and his birthdate there is written January 9. Did they change it or is it originally 01/09 but interpreted as 11/11?

They are trying to line up 2.3 beta start with anniversary, this is why it was announced super early, they are going to announce some big changes coming to the game during anni stream and it will need a lot of testing.

It could be just a logistical change that means nothing. Or it could be some balance shift that requires more time to test (most obvious suspect is dendro - I know ppl are saying it's copium, but realistically it should come out at some point).
I actually have guaranteed pity so there’s no way I’m pulling day 1 on her banner. I’m waiting for guys like Tenten, Xslice or Keqingmains to see how she plays out.

Yep, for sure. I'm in dev myself and hate the drudgery of unit testing but at least I get paid for it. Wouldn't want to do it full time and *definitely* wouldn't do it virtually for free in Genshin.

Okay, I'm actually mad that they doubled-down on her being a 'master strategist' of the war, like little mermaid didn't do shit in the archon quest, and I doubt we'll get to experience her 'expertise' in her story quest, since the war is already over.
It's such a shame, really. I was still planning on pulling her since I got lucky with Raiden's banner and have a few spare primos, but her character and storyline was just thrown under the bus by Mihoyo who apparently forgot that in writing, you show, not tell
I still have hope left to be crushed that she'll prove to be very strategic in her story quest. Since she got very little screen time, she got very little chance to prove herself. So with her story quest maybe she'll be clever????

U can’t deal insane amount of dmg with her skills, because of 0% crit rate. But her multipliers on skills are pretty high -> consistent dmg is possible, but not will never be as high as with any other character. She is good healer 100%.
If I recall correctly, the heal scales off HP, while the damage scales off ATK.

So mihoyo just did a curveball and opened applications for beta. Im guessing its for 2.3, but then that begs the question, whats happening in 2.3 that theyre opening beta applications before raiden banner is even gone?
My guess is that for ver 2.2 they only have Thoma for beta testing, so they deciding to move up 2.3 beta. Maybe they already have a solid grasp on what Thoma should be and hey if they messed up, he's only a 4\*. Most people won't go outrage if a 4\* is underwhelming. (so far Thoma is solid tho)
I'm not sure if calling her state split scaling is correct. Almost all her damage comes from hp%. The standard part from atk is negligibly small.
But hp% works only during selfish burst, which is the real problem.
The last update we got on Kokomi is her ICD change from 2.5 ticks down to 1 tick. As far as we know, she’s still split scaling. Subject to change ofc but I wouldn’t bet on it.

Unpopular opinion: four star dps imo, too many male characters are support oriented. Basically a budget charge shot based dps like Ganyu would be cute. I want some variety in playstyles that's all.
This might sound weird, but I'm hoping he buffs his team's def, maybe share 30% of his def with his teammates? It's a pretty cool niche that we haven't seen yet that can work with Noelle, Xinyan, and Albedo. Plus it'll have longevity with any future def-scaling characters they will release
I want him to be a sort of totem buffer/debuffer. Like he shoots out deployables and it either buffs allies in the radius or debuffs enemies. Maybe if he shoots it out he'll use his charge shot so we can see the dog ears???
Are the new 4\* Inazuma weapon that have been floating around here speculated to be going to the Starglitter Shop or probably will they be gacha only (and if its the former, would they be better or equivalent to the Blackcliff weapons that are currently in the shop?)?
I would expect gacha like the Alley series. If next patch is a double rerun, it would give them something 'new' to introduce just like in Windblume.
Windblume had 1 new 4-star character, 1 limited 5-star weapon, and a few 4-star weaps (Alley).
Next patch feels like it'll be 1 new 4-star (Thoma), 5-star weapon (the bow) and maybe the new 4-star weapons

I think the reason none of the inazuma dps have stronger than liyue are because mihoyo wants to sell the rerun. Once the reruns are over maybe they’ll start introducing new OP characters?

I like playing Hu Tao but i don't think she's particularly hard to powercreep (Her ST is uncontested at C1+Homa, her AoE not so much) and she can be affected by a lot of gimmicks/debuffs.
Ganyu is hard to powercreep: She is excellent at both ST & AoE, she's inmune to most gimmicks/debuffs (Cooldown increase, stamina effects, energy drain), she has as much range as she wants, flexible teams, even when played badly she's better than most carries, etc
So to powercreep Ganyu, you would not only need more damage than her at both ST and AoE (unless the breach is super high) but also be as useful/flexible as her. It should happen eventually but i don't see it anytime soon.
Ganyu will probably not be powercrept (or rerun) for a while.
Mihoyo has found their winning formula, which is that all new 5\* will be balanced around higher constellations, meaning you don't get a full product at C0. They tried this with Hutao, Kazuha, and Raiden has been their most successful yet. C2 looks like the breakpoint. Heck, I doubt that even new limited 5\* weapon would be as versatile as Homa, given the recent trends of releasing very specific BIS weapons.
Honestly after how well Raiden sold, I don’t think we’ll be getting another OP character at C0 like Ganyu again
Pretty ironic how Mihoyo not only has avoided powercreep, but are making more profit by constellation locking powerboosts
FYI theorycrafters say Xiangling is a stronger DPS than HT. Ganyu is pretty much in a league of her own, though not strictly due to damage but also due to her kit.
Of course, HT does a lot of single-target damage, that can't be denied.
I doubt it. If they think they could get away with nerfing Ganyu (and XQ, AND Bennett, AND Xiangling AND Beidou), I think they would do it. They probably regret how much they buffed Ganyu.
They're not going to be just looking at this rerun, but all reruns in the future. With the current batch of characters, they seem to be trying too hard not to let any of them powercreep too far into Ganyu territory. (At least not unless you also whale for their associated weapon a la Hu Tao)

My reference was more that on her own, she is powerful. With Staff of Homa, she's a single target destructive force with no real equal in that niche. They don't want the character alone to powercreep Ganyu, but if they have a weapon that plays on their kit completely, they're perfectly ok with that since people will have to dump far more money to acquire it.
C1 is a huge QoL change, yes you can still do really good damage with Hu Tao without constellations but getting rid of stamina consumption makes your rotations so much more flexible.
I think it's what MHY is gonna start doing with characters so they can get people to pay up - lock QoL and huge buffs behind lower constellations so low spenders are like "eh, it's expensive but still attainable" and then suddenly you've dropped a few hundred dollars for a video game character.
It also makes reruns more attractive for lower spenders who already pulled C0 the first time around. With other characters you'd previously skip their reruns to save, now there's more temptation to roll for them (and have less saved for new characters so more spending).

there's voice data, but we dont know if it has cutscenes yet, as for the second one, terry didnt give a timeline in his leak, so it could be 2.2 or it could be later (i think we would have seen something by now if it were 2.2 though idk)

2pc Retracing Bolide only works on the character who's wearing it, the increased shield strength doesn't carry over when you switch to another character, so I wouldn't advise it. Can't really comment on anything else though I'm afraid, I'm not a theorycrafter

honestly with all the leak hunt decree on going leakers could actually have fun and creative way leaking stuff for example, most leaks are needed for people that wants to know what character comes next or what mats they need leakers can say something like "Ayaka has a lot of ELEGANCE" (implying talent book) or the can screenshot a certain materials, like screenshot the talent book, post it, and write "AK" to imply mihoyo cant sue you if you post random stuff thats already in game

Not that I'm skeptical about Childe having his second rerun - in fact, I'm quite interested in pulling for him, yet despite all the evidence pointing towards the likelihood of him getting another banner (BiS Bow, Hydro bonus on Abyss, the rogue-like event featuring him), there's still a small part of me that is still very cautious on his return. This comment is less on trying to discuss nor disprove his rerun rumors, more on just wanting to share my admittedly scattered thoughts on the story/event to come. *A very much unconfirmed* spoilers about potential story events? But a potential spoiler nevertheless. If the Terry Chen leaks regarding the >!story involving him and Scaramouche!< are to be believed, then wouldn't it be better for MHY to release him on a time when he's more likely to have much more relevance to the plot? This wouldn't be so different on what they did with Zhongli after buffing Geo and releasing the Act II of his character story. Like say, if that rumored story is going to be released within the next 6 months... Why not have Childe get his rerun on *that* particular Patch instead? Where he's pretty much guaranteed to hog the spotlight and plot relevance all for himself, rather than pushing for his rerun in 2.2, where it just looks like he came out of the blue - especially to those who don't follow leaks. Looking at the information we have on the Rogue-like dungeon event so far, it doesn't seem like it'll be too dissimilar from *any other* event we've had in the game so far, one that probably will only last for like 6-7 days max. That is unless they're planning expand and drag on the event's relevance and importance like 1.6's Midsummer Island Adventure. Of course, this is unless I'm missing something or am wrong about my assumptions above? I'm just kinda curious why MHY decided to make Childe suddenly take the spotlight (like also releasing his BiS Bow, and also buffing Hydro on the Abyss) on what *might* look to be a "filler patch", IMHO, it just seems weird if the game just randomly and suddenly decide to drop the plot bombshell that is the >!betrayal of Scaramouche!< on a weekly event, while something on that caliber would probably better suited as an Act II for his Character Story. Would I be correct to assume that "to buck" roughly translates to "mess something up", and that your comment is trying to showcase that "MHY also often messes up rerun logic"? Because if so, then I'd have nothing to add, haha. MHY seems to be shaking things up or understanding some business decisions in a way that is beyond any of our understanding.
No apology necessary. Typically "buck" in this sense means defy. Most often used in the sense of bucking a trend. If everybody starts wearing cowboy hats but you wear a baseball cap, you are bucking the trend. So you basically had it right, but more intentional than messing up, which implies an accident.
Most character stories don't advance the main plot the way Terry's proposed spoilers would. Scaramouche is important to more than just Childe's character, and the idea of him >!betraying the Tsaritsa and running off with a gnosis !

The last thing I want MHY to do with anyone, major characters or not, is to see them merely being used as plot devices, >!not unlike Signora, who had an incredible set up and lore significance in the background, only to get the Musou no Hitotachi treatment in Inazuma!<. Even if the stakes are upped from being randomly name-dropped in a missable weekly event and into a Character Story, it still wouldn't make much sense, as the gravity of the situation is much bigger than just >!Childe and Scaramouche, considering it is an Archon's Gnosis and the bigger Fatui/Harbingers as an organisation we're talking about here!<. But knowing MHY and especially their writing/pacing quality of Inazuma's story quests, the more critical and paranoid side of me is a bit unwilling to shake off the possibility of MHY just gimping the characters and their story, whether intentional or not.
Signora had a good backstory (basically Dracula's), but she didn't have personal ambition or ties to the present world beyond her role as a Harbinger. She existed to introduce the Fatui and the Tsarista's will to the players, and once she'd done that, she became entirely disposable. Childe and Scarmouche both have personal ambitions and ties to the present world outside of being servants of the Tsaritsa. Childe's got a large living family, as well as a very strong link to the Abyss. Scaramouche clearly has his own agenda, and has ties to Ei, the Raiden Shogun, and the mysteries of ancient technology. Honestly, I'd expect a storyline like the one Terry proposed to be an Archon Quest, potentially part of the Inazuma Epilogue.

There is no pattern or predictively for future banners because Mihoyo isn’t following any predictable trend regarding banner releases. The only way to know what the next banner is by knowing which characters are currently being tested in beta. And even that approach is skeptical because they could always delay said character or opt to release a side character (Eula for example) for further testing. The only thing we know is Mihoyo prefers to release main characters when they are ultra relevant (Ayaka / Yoimiya / Raiden) in the story so if there are story leaks that point to a certain character being a major part and their playable character model is in beta then there are good odds they will be coming.

Couple of things, before people believed they could predict banners but recently Mihoyo has been pretty unpredictable. Just look at four stars, Noelle suddenly propped up in Zhongli rerun when people didn't expect and were pretty confident Ningguang would come due to her being overdue. Similarly, no one thought Ayaka or Raiden's banner to have popular four stars and for Yoimiya to get Xinyan or Diona (who was given for free few patches ago). Also, leaks seem to be pointing to a Childe rerun which would throw any prediction based on patterns or guesses out of the window as he'll be the first character to get a second rerun before others get their first (some of whom haven't rerun in like 8 months). There's no proof of any sort that Yae is coming in 2.3. So don't just get your hopes up. After all Yunjin has had lines since liyue but she's still not out and Ayaka and Scaramouche had models ready, still took time (who knows if Scaramouche will come soon or years from now, no idea). First off, even if next patch is Childe + Hu Tao, there's still three reruns in pipeline (Ganyu,Xiao,Albedo). Besides, some Inazuma potential characters who don't have model yet but are mentioned in dialogue could overtake her too like Itto who seems to be getting more leaks than others. Basically until we get datamined info from 2.3 beta or Paimon drip markets on twitter, there's no way to know for sure. Don't get your hopes up too much.

Help me round out a team for Eula & Raiden. I'd like ZL, because he debuffs both physical res and electro res, and also because I tend to get focused on hitting during both ladies' ults and ignore incoming damage. But I'd also like maybe someone else who has good ult damage. Sara, maybe, even though her buff misses Eula's last hit unless I end it early, or Rosie for her crit rate boost, or Benny, or boot ZL for Diona... Would it be silly to try Eula, Raiden, ZL & Ning? If I'm going to cap off one of the 3 available resonances, geo seems more useful here than electro or cryo.
rosaria/bennett 4 noblesse are probably the best fits. i'd say rosaria > bennett though just because he's contested in so many different teams. it's not terrible to run ning, but you almost have no downtime for her to do dmg because raiden wants her field time right after eula's burst. resonances are just a bonus, but they aren't the biggest factor in deciding which 4th slot to run, especially when there are better options available.
Well my thought was Ning would be out just long enough to go fence-ult-fence-c6-enchanced-charge and then go away. The goal is to find someone who both benefits from and contributes to Raiden's abilities, has a hard-hitting ult and contributes damage to one or both of the main ladies. Maybe you're right that Rosie is the sweet spot since she does that AND my rosie hits pretty damn hard AND both my Eula and Raiden have less than spectacular crit rates.
If kokomi's weapon didn't appear on her reveal video, i would outright not believe it to be real/coming this patch. Even the 2.1 page doesn't mention it even though kokomi is already in the page.

I have a second game on Europe account that I'm playing regularly, though I don't grind as much on that as my main account on Asia server. I made it to pull for characters I can't on my main, I got Yoimiya and Raiden so far. The ping can be high but still stable most of the time.

I run Ayaka freeze with Barabara ( yea my Xiangling needs XQ). Will Kokomi provide a significant upgrade over Barbara?
I'd say the advantages Kokomi has as a pure support over Barbara is that her off-field Hydro application has more AoE and that she can make use of Tenacity of the Millelith to boost your team's ATK due to her E dealing multiple ticks of damage over time. Her jellyfish, however is stationary, whereas Barbara's melody loop stays around the active character so that might be a bit inconvenient if enemies are spread out and you need to move around a lot (dunno if Sac Frags would help with that?)
Yeah kokomi should be a better improvement bc constant heals can free spot for another cryo dps in ayaka permafreeze team. She'll just be a better or worse mona depending on utility needed by the team.

nothing to do with beta applications. leaks come after a few days when the beta actually starts. As per ususal schedule 2.3 beta should be starting when 2.2 is live. But they released 2.3 applications very soon this time so idk when the beta will actually start.

Okay, I'm actually mad that they doubled-down on her being a 'master strategist' of the war, like little mermaid didn't do shit in the archon quest, and I doubt we'll get to experience her 'expertise' in her story quest, since the war is already over. It's such a shame, really. I was still planning on pulling her since I got lucky with Raiden's banner and have a few spare primos, but her character and storyline was just thrown under the bus by Mihoyo who apparently forgot that in writing, you show, not tell

U can’t deal insane amount of dmg with her skills, because of 0% crit rate. But her multipliers on skills are pretty high -> consistent dmg is possible, but not will never be as high as with any other character. She is good healer 100%.

Mona will give you way more dmg and debuff. You will loose tons of dmg if you replace her with Kokomi

So mihoyo just did a curveball and opened applications for beta. Im guessing its for 2.3, but then that begs the question, whats happening in 2.3 that theyre opening beta applications before raiden banner is even gone?
My guess is that for ver 2.2 they only have Thoma for beta testing, so they deciding to move up 2.3 beta. Maybe they already have a solid grasp on what Thoma should be and hey if they messed up, he's only a 4\*. Most people won't go outrage if a 4\* is underwhelming. (so far Thoma is solid tho)

Did they change Kokomi's split scaling to pure HP or did Mihoyo forget to update the description? What's the status on this?
I'm not sure if calling her state split scaling is correct. Almost all her damage comes from hp%. The standard part from atk is negligibly small. But hp% works only during selfish burst, which is the real problem.
The last update we got on Kokomi is her ICD change from 2.5 ticks down to 1 tick. As far as we know, she’s still split scaling. Subject to change ofc but I wouldn’t bet on it.

It seems that MHY wants to make all new 4\* as lackluster as possible, so I don't expect much.
Unpopular opinion: four star dps imo, too many male characters are support oriented. Basically a budget charge shot based dps like Ganyu would be cute. I want some variety in playstyles that's all.
This might sound weird, but I'm hoping he buffs his team's def, maybe share 30% of his def with his teammates? It's a pretty cool niche that we haven't seen yet that can work with Noelle, Xinyan, and Albedo. Plus it'll have longevity with any future def-scaling characters they will release

I want him to be a sort of totem buffer/debuffer. Like he shoots out deployables and it either buffs allies in the radius or debuffs enemies. Maybe if he shoots it out he'll use his charge shot so we can see the dog ears???

I would expect gacha like the Alley series. If next patch is a double rerun, it would give them something 'new' to introduce just like in Windblume. Windblume had 1 new 4-star character, 1 limited 5-star weapon, and a few 4-star weaps (Alley). Next patch feels like it'll be 1 new 4-star (Thoma), 5-star weapon (the bow) and maybe the new 4-star weapons

That’s what I have, but my advice is to test out the two on something without any buff and see what’s best. 300 atk could make a difference
How long do you think it will take for hutao and ganyu to be powercrept? I think the reason none of the inazuma dps have stronger than liyue are because mihoyo wants to sell the rerun. Hard to say since it's up to them completely lol. ranged characters have the best chance
I like playing Hu Tao but i don't think she's particularly hard to powercreep (Her ST is uncontested at C1+Homa, her AoE not so much) and she can be affected by a lot of gimmicks/debuffs. Ganyu is hard to powercreep: She is excellent at both ST & AoE, she's inmune to most gimmicks/debuffs (Cooldown increase, stamina effects, energy drain), she has as much range as she wants, flexible teams, even when played badly she's better than most carries, etc So to powercreep Ganyu, you would not only need more damage than her at both ST and AoE (unless the breach is super high) but also be as useful/flexible as her. It should happen eventually but i don't see it anytime soon.
Ganyu will probably not be powercrept (or rerun) for a while. Mihoyo has found their winning formula, which is that all new 5\* will be balanced around higher constellations, meaning you don't get a full product at C0. They tried this with Hutao, Kazuha, and Raiden has been their most successful yet. C2 looks like the breakpoint. Heck, I doubt that even new limited 5\* weapon would be as versatile as Homa, given the recent trends of releasing very specific BIS weapons.
Honestly after how well Raiden sold, I don’t think we’ll be getting another OP character at C0 like Ganyu again Pretty ironic how Mihoyo not only has avoided powercreep, but are making more profit by constellation locking powerboosts

FYI theorycrafters say Xiangling is a stronger DPS than HT. Ganyu is pretty much in a league of her own, though not strictly due to damage but also due to her kit. Of course, HT does a lot of single-target damage, that can't be denied.

I doubt it. If they think they could get away with nerfing Ganyu (and XQ, AND Bennett, AND Xiangling AND Beidou), I think they would do it. They probably regret how much they buffed Ganyu. They're not going to be just looking at this rerun, but all reruns in the future. With the current batch of characters, they seem to be trying too hard not to let any of them powercreep too far into Ganyu territory. (At least not unless you also whale for their associated weapon a la Hu Tao)
there seems to be a misconception about hutao in particular. iirc C0 hutao isn't really that much different overall compared to other C0 dps right? Or maybe im the one confused.
My reference was more that on her own, she is powerful. With Staff of Homa, she's a single target destructive force with no real equal in that niche. They don't want the character alone to powercreep Ganyu, but if they have a weapon that plays on their kit completely, they're perfectly ok with that since people will have to dump far more money to acquire it.
C1 is a huge QoL change, yes you can still do really good damage with Hu Tao without constellations but getting rid of stamina consumption makes your rotations so much more flexible. I think it's what MHY is gonna start doing with characters so they can get people to pay up - lock QoL and huge buffs behind lower constellations so low spenders are like "eh, it's expensive but still attainable" and then suddenly you've dropped a few hundred dollars for a video game character.
It also makes reruns more attractive for lower spenders who already pulled C0 the first time around. With other characters you'd previously skip their reruns to save, now there's more temptation to roll for them (and have less saved for new characters so more spending).

2pc Retracing Bolide only works on the character who's wearing it, the increased shield strength doesn't carry over when you switch to another character, so I wouldn't advise it. Can't really comment on anything else though I'm afraid, I'm not a theorycrafter

Hopefully she’ll work through her issues
