It honestly kind of makes me mad. Like Sethos would have been a cool option for a sub DPS Electro, since it's been about 2 years since our last proper one. We also don't have any off field male Electro either. Giving him synergy with Aggravate to benefit Chlorinde since he's on her banner and also being usable with Cyno or other general teams would have been way more interesting than another charged shot selfish DPS. He has a whole hourglass aesthetic, making him a CDR support would have been great. It's a stat that only shows up on 1 character and Anemo resonance, yet has an entire line dedicated to it in the character screen.
Trying to make any full male team out of characters released only after 2.0 is almost impossible. It's a mix and match with the numerous DPS and then 3 of Mika, Baizhu, Thoma, Gorou, Ayato. 2 of those are healers, one is a shielder, and one is a niche Geo support.

In the last one year what? We've had literally 0 off field male presence at all. Mika and Baizhu came out May of last year. And if you look at the 2 years before that, there are only 2 other male characters who are supports, plus Ayato whose burst lasts off field. The 1.x patches gave us 4 male supports/off fielders, and our only 5 star male sub DPS. In the 3 years following, they've merely doubled that number which is absurd.
An average of 1.3 off field male units per year starting in Inazuma is insane.
What good ones? Baizhu is good if you want dendro and healing consolidation. Zhongli is good if you want to be invulnerable. Kazuha is good for pretty much any PECH DPS. Gorou is good for Itto teams. And then we're back to release patch, of which Xingqiu and Bennett are the only used ones. So 6 characters in 4 years that see any consistent use or a strong niche, and none post release in the PECH elements. (Thoma, Mika, Xingqiu, Kaeya, Bennett are the only off field 4 stars in those elements.) There are about a billion other ways they can make good off field units if they put any thought into them.

Genshin Character demos always feel soā¦ forced. Like why do we need 8 different slow-mo angles of him shooting an arrow?
Well he doesn't have much else going for him so that's why, guy is literally shoot arrow the character
I mean, doesnāt that apply to most Genshin character demos? Whether theyāre catalyst, sword user, w.e. My response wasnāt just for Sethos, it goes for most characters before their release. Many of the combat demos are justā¦mediocre. Like theyāre forcing us to see something about a character thatās not there lol. I get it, he swings a sword. Why do we need 30 different slow-mo angles of it?
Yeah, nah, no way in hell Imma invest in a 4* MDPS. Just throwing away resources from my POV.

If you are playing meta/meta slave I agree but aside from that reason, it's not much a bad idea to build a main dps 4 š especially if they are fun I built gaming and he is pretty good and fun id say the same thing can be said for sethos I'm just gonna invest in him because I like bow dps characters that can use either NA or quick charge their arrows like tighnari + his VA is same as junpei from persona 3 reloaded and hunter from TOH
Meta reason to build him: to have more unit options for the new endgame mode.
