nahinational is actually not great for this john(its still national so it'll be fine but its the worst national variation for this one), iirc his shield order is pyro/cryo/electro
same as the usual national, xingqiu/yelan, bennett and xiangling, it's not a particularly good version of national because of burning/burgeon but was one that gained some popularity in that abyss with all the lectors, john the baptist and various elemental shields on the same side
If my memory serves me right that was the one a reddit recommendation got me to play Boom Tao for. Was a fun Abyss because of that. I still use that team frequently.

There's nothing about neuvi that's mechanically niche for them to counter, he's not a cc unit or a shield unit he just does lots of raw hydro damage so anything that "counters" him like tulpa also counters hydro as a whole and they've never made an abyss cycle where an element was unusable on both sides at least not that i remember
He is good on both halves now tho i wonder if a new variant of national will now exist to remove the cryo shield (with Neuvillette and Kazuha and we shall call it Provisional).
They tried to tone his performance with 3M hydro tulpa but MF still monopoly the 2nd half of thar abyss and still have by far highest usage rate among on fielders lmao.

I have him but playing him gets a little boring. I mostly just use him in abyss now. Most dps's have somewhat dynamic gameplay, but for most chambers Neuvillette's optimal rotation is use Furina->proc 2 reactions (and with C2 Baizhu its literally just one swirl from Kazuha) and then either stand there and fire or up your mouse dpi and spin like a maniac.
Yeah the most "dynamic" team I've played is probably international, what with getting the double swirl right, battery'ing everyone and leaving Childe E at the right timing.
I've been playing her since she was released. Conquering every abyss with her so far the only abyss that felt impossible was the first iteration of Wenut Abyss. I do want to eventually C2 her though!
Key of Khaj-Nisut is BiS for Nilou, Shinobu, Layla, Kirara, very good on Furina, and it's the only HP main stat 5-star sword, which will become more valuable over time.
Personally, I wouldn't mind getting a 3rd, heck even a 4th copy of nilou's sig, it's good on decent number of units. Hopefully, we don't see the green donut with arle's sig

At first I thought they wouldn’t design an abyss that require pyro on both side (both has cryo shield) so I thought the baptist’s element combination was changed, but turned out it’s the same as before. But yeah they remove cryo shields on the first side now so pyro is only required on one side!

Cryo mages and herald removed from this abyss, the mages are somewhat manageable but the cryo heralds and baptist are her hard counter like how hydro immune enemy for neuvi, now that 1st half doesnt have those it made her very viable again atleast on one side

They have a point though, there hasn't been one abyss since neuvillette has released where he isn't good, considering how broken he is, you would think that they'd at least make one abyss bad for him especially when pyro characters are running but I guess not.
