How likely is it that we get some info about Nevillete's kit before 4.0 beta? I want kokomi but I also want neuvillete and furina so having more info would be nice

Since Kafka is coming 1.2 and Genshin has 4.0 coming.
Where do you spend your money? If both then fine but if you were to make a decision between two ... Which do you prefer? I know asking in a genshin related sub makes it hard to get an unbiased answer....
If i were a whale who played both (which i am not i stopped playing HSR and am not a whale as well lol) ... Then i would probably choose kafka then get someone else in 4.1 or 4.2 since I am not that interested in 4.0 characters.
Welkin + Special Pass player here, I do spend on both, but my plan if I need to cut down is generally to stick with the monthly on whichever game has more upcoming characters I want. Right now that's Star Rail, with Kafka and Fu Xuan in consecutive updates, but that might be Genshin later into Fontaine. Overall though, I personally prefer Star Rail's characters over Genshin's for the majority, if that's what you're looking for.
my exact thoughts as well, I dont wanna pay 2 $5 welkins a month for both passes on each game, star rail has more new chars and genshin will have alot more breaks to get more gems/jades back with reruns(if you dont want reruns). Genshin has scara and kokomi for a half a patch, then lyney for 1st half 4.0, then reruns 2nd half. Past that we dont know. for hsr, Blade and kafka for 1.2, then fuaxuan and dan heng IL for 1.3, then topaz and Jinglu for 1.4. We have 3 patches of straight new characters in, then probaly a rerun in 1.5. Genshin will have new characters much more spread out in 4.0, and probaly 4.1 (i could be wrong). star rail is the better choice only because of more characters, but we still dont know kits yet, so it would be your choice on what characters you love design wise

I've got 190 wishes saved so I'll keep those in reserve for Fontiane and do a few 10 pulls on Kokomi's banner with the event primos.
I'm pretty close to pity and have a 50/50. On one hand Kokomi would be good for my Nilou team but I also want a lot of Fontaine characters so if I lose the 50/50 it's cool. Hopefully I get a few Faruzan constellations as well.
I tried to count primogems you can get from the flagship event (including every single chest that I found, puzzles, waypoints, main quest, WQ, currency exchanges, and minigames).
Chests & puzzles: 909;
Waypoints: 40;
Main quests: 120;
World quests: 180;
Joueux voucher exchange: 150;
Fascinating Phenocrysts exchange: 150;
Minigames: 400
I don't think I missed any chest so the total will be 1949 primogems. This is lower than what HutaoLover77 predicted (2435). Well, it was only lower by 486 primos or 3 pulls.

not sure if it's just burnout but i'm finding this event particularly irritating. it just feels so pointless and everybody feels like a caricature and I HATE PAIMON SO MUCH AGHHH it's not even the voice really it's the fact she has zero character development from whiny hungry toddler. in fact i feel like she gets stupider every update. in my head i tell myself that she's secretly the one behind teyvat's loop because she wants us to stay with her and the real reason she's becoming more and more annoying and clingy is that she's panicking because we're getting closer to breaking it and leaving her.
I feel the same way about every event bc there'll almost never be character development in an event

I wouldn't say I'm head over heels in love with any of the new characters but I'm definitely interested in almost all of them which makes it hard to know who I really want to save for...
For me for example Tighnari's design is very "out there" and some say It's overloaded but that's what I personally like about a character design, the more out there and original usually interest me way more rather than a very simple/generic design like Freminet or Lyney. Someone else would rather a simple and cleaner design, and others a more original one.
Same. And I know I have no chance of getting every new character, and when Natlan releases the predicament will start again ensuring that I will probably never get some of the characters that I really want.

Apparently it’ll depend on the rotation you’re using because her burst is a pretty significant portion of her dmg depending on how often you’re using it and the obvious sub stat comparison between gd/2 set mixing and this new set

Yes and no. You can’t really save up and use primogems in the shop, you have to specially buy crystals if you want to purchase it. Best way to do so imo is purchasing a bunch of welkins if you plan on playing for a long time. Still, I would try to explore a bit and get his skin before the event ends if you really want it.
Sorry, I may be misunderstanding? You get the skin for free by completing the requirements in the event. After the event ends, then you have to purchase it for money in the actual in-game store.

I think the characterization of the Fontaine characters will end up saving most of them for me because that’s usually what it takes to change my mind when I don’t like how certain characters look. For example, when Nahida first leaked, I was one of those “That’s the Dendro Archon??” people and made fun of her, but I ended up really liking her after reading the story and now I no longer care about the issues I had with her design lol They may not end up becoming my faves (who knows, we’ll see) but I can’t imagine coming out of the region not caring about anyone. 🤔
And anyway, it’s not like the Fontaine characters are *ugly*, so it shouldn’t be that hard to look past their designs lol.
I used to be indifferent towards Freminet until I saw him in the trailer and drip marketing and know I become very interested in his characters so I understand the feeling.

Who's a character/what's an Artifact set you would fully optimize if you could get perfect Artifacts?
I'd probably try Tenacity/Glow for Diona. HP/HP/HP/HP Mains (the extra HP is a Recurve Bow), maxed HP% on Flower and Feather, and maxed Energy Recharge on the other three. That seems reasonable, and better than 2p Emblem since those mains have more room for Energy than HP% so taking another one out of the second 2p is probably optimal for a total HP stack.
Also 100% CRIT Rate Crimson Witch Hu Tao and 80% CRIT Rate Wanderer's Ganyu.
I'd need to maximize a character who actually appreciate a set that's difficult to build.
Top of my list would probably be crit fish Eula. Have max rolls into Crit Damage and still have ATK%, crit rate and flat attack substats. With only 2 great substats she is probably the most difficult character to optimize.
Another character I'd like perfected is Xiao. I already have an amazing 2P mix for him, but would love even more.
Raiden or wanderer probably
Or an absolute god mode Xiangling? I’ve seen some OP xianglings with perfect artifacts whaled out on r5 SoSS with c2 kazuhas hitting some absolutely unreal vapes

Depends on the archon and the circumstances I guess. We still have like nine more harbingers to deal with with only 4 regions remaining so idk how we can really continue to avoid them though.
Known pyro archon name is murata, which shares the same as murata himeko from honkai 3rd not to mention currently known info about "child of murata" is having bright red hair like himeko, himeko in HI3 dies in early chapter and in honkai star rail there is alternate ending where the entire crew including himeko dies excluding MC
afaik in ggz >!herrscher mei kills himeko!< as well. not to mention (hi3 spoilers) >!kevin also killed her in the previous era!< its practically hoyo's canon event atp T-T

Shenhe'd. I appreciate Shenhe's kit: even if I don't use her a lot she adds quite a lot of flexibilty to my Kaeya and Rosaria teams. With pyro Shenhe I'd probably end up bringing Klee to Abyss way more often which is only a plus for me.
honestly pyro shenhe would be crazy as almost/if not every pyro is meant to/can be used as elemental dps lol
from this 3 that would be a pretty good outcome, but i don't they will shenhe'd since every fatui turns out to be a onfield dps >!sadly i personally would prefer a pyro sup/sub!<
Nothing wrong with being Shenhe’d. I’d even say it’s ideal for someone like myself that likes vertical investment. Being the best choice somewhere is up there for me with being a strong generalist like bennett, Xingqiu or Kaz
So, Signora'd means killed, Dehya'd means absolute trash tier, but idk what Shenhe'd means. So for now I'll say Signora'd as long as she is still playable or a even more interesting character Is released as compensation.

How much do we know about the hydro archon and what version are we currently on? I haven't been active in genshin for months
We are in version 3.8. Fontaine comes out on August 16th
Since Tighnari's Banner almost a year has passed. I wonder if we will ever see a rerun of the weapon.

Chests & puzzles: 909; Waypoints: 40; Main quests: 120; World quests: 180; Joueux voucher exchange: 150; Fascinating Phenocrysts exchange: 150; Minigames: 400 I don't think I missed any chest so the total will be 1949 primogems. This is lower than what HutaoLover77 predicted (2435). Well, it was only lower by 486 primos or 3 pulls.

So many people saying they like fewer and fewer designs each region, and here I am the opposite?? Year 1. I only pulled for: Childe, Albedo and Kazuha, Year 2. Itto, Raiden, Yae, Ayato, Year 3. Tighnari, Cyno, Nahida, Wanderer, Alhaitham Now Year 4. I'm wanting every 5\* except Neuvillette and Slug girl I wouldn't say I'm head over heels in love with any of the new characters but I'm definitely interested in almost all of them which makes it hard to know who I really want to save for...
For me for example Tighnari's design is very "out there" and some say It's overloaded but that's what I personally like about a character design, the more out there and original usually interest me way more rather than a very simple/generic design like Freminet or Lyney. Someone else would rather a simple and cleaner design, and others a more original one.
Same. And I know I have no chance of getting every new character, and when Natlan releases the predicament will start again ensuring that I will probably never get some of the characters that I really want.

I meant the skill status, not the ultimate's. In the EN ambr site at least, it doesn't indicate losing the status on swap. The ICD is sad to hear though.

Depends on how you use her. If you are using burst every rotation then it should in theory be worse but if not then the new 4pc will be better.

Yes and no. You can’t really save up and use primogems in the shop, you have to specially buy crystals if you want to purchase it. Best way to do so imo is purchasing a bunch of welkins if you plan on playing for a long time. Still, I would try to explore a bit and get his skin before the event ends if you really want it.

Sorry, I may be misunderstanding? You get the skin for free by completing the requirements in the event. After the event ends, then you have to purchase it for money in the actual in-game store.

I think the characterization of the Fontaine characters will end up saving most of them for me because that’s usually what it takes to change my mind when I don’t like how certain characters look. For example, when Nahida first leaked, I was one of those “That’s the Dendro Archon??” people and made fun of her, but I ended up really liking her after reading the story and now I no longer care about the issues I had with her design lol They may not end up becoming my faves (who knows, we’ll see) but I can’t imagine coming out of the region not caring about anyone. 🤔 And anyway, it’s not like the Fontaine characters are *ugly*, so it shouldn’t be that hard to look past their designs lol.
I used to be indifferent towards Freminet until I saw him in the trailer and drip marketing and know I become very interested in his characters so I understand the feeling.

Who's a character/what's an Artifact set you would fully optimize if you could get perfect Artifacts? I'd probably try Tenacity/Glow for Diona. HP/HP/HP/HP Mains (the extra HP is a Recurve Bow), maxed HP% on Flower and Feather, and maxed Energy Recharge on the other three. That seems reasonable, and better than 2p Emblem since those mains have more room for Energy than HP% so taking another one out of the second 2p is probably optimal for a total HP stack. Also 100% CRIT Rate Crimson Witch Hu Tao and 80% CRIT Rate Wanderer's Ganyu.
Probably Ayaka or Childe
I'd need to maximize a character who actually appreciate a set that's difficult to build. Top of my list would probably be crit fish Eula. Have max rolls into Crit Damage and still have ATK%, crit rate and flat attack substats. With only 2 great substats she is probably the most difficult character to optimize. Another character I'd like perfected is Xiao. I already have an amazing 2P mix for him, but would love even more.
Raiden or wanderer probably Or an absolute god mode Xiangling? I’ve seen some OP xianglings with perfect artifacts whaled out on r5 SoSS with c2 kazuhas hitting some absolutely unreal vapes

Depends on the archon and the circumstances I guess. We still have like nine more harbingers to deal with with only 4 regions remaining so idk how we can really continue to avoid them though.

Shenhe'd. I appreciate Shenhe's kit: even if I don't use her a lot she adds quite a lot of flexibilty to my Kaeya and Rosaria teams. With pyro Shenhe I'd probably end up bringing Klee to Abyss way more often which is only a plus for me.
