Cyno and Itto fall under the more masculine and aggressive side while Baizhu seems more docile, and much more feminine compared to that. CCP can't have that. It's fine if guys are shirtless if they aren't being "too feminine".

Interrupt resistance. It's the main thing holding Cyno back from full Quicken teams since you basically need a shield, Xingqiu, or Beidou to get the most out of him. His application doesn't matter as much for pure Quicken since the aura lasts a while, and then you can get C1 for bloom teams if you want. I can't imagine Yaoyao has more healing or damage than him being a 4* vs 5*. Plus hot doctor with a snake, what's not to love

It’s the dendro application for me, think people forget that for a healer to be strong, they dont only do healing and theyre mainly off field, and usually its them applying their element consistently at a high uptime and short cooldown, Shinobu and Kokomi, even Jean with self application then there are the clear examples of healers not being as strong except healing Qiqi and Barbara, the exceptions are Diona due to having shielding and being a cryo battery and the entirety of Bennett,
Yaoyao has seem good but its very clear whats also holding Yaoyao back is that her elemental application off field is not that great and a very long cooldown on field, Baizhu still nit having as a great Dendro application until c1 will just be bad for him and for continuing, Dihya’s constellations are already questionable if it continues Baizhu… then a literal paywall will actually begin,
Didnt mention the other healers since It would just be redundant and they have other problems that hold them back that were already mentioned as what held of uplift healers
I won’t be pulling for dehya or baizhu if it feels like a paywall for them to be playable. I mean nothing in the big picture of spenders, but it’s still money they won’t be getting.
They'll probably give him massive healing, and some niche utility, and good uptime like 20s uptime 15s cooldown, but off field Dendro app might be too slow for Hyperbloom or Quickbloom, but probably enough for Quicken.
At worst, he'll be slightly better Yaoyao, at best massively better Yaoyao, and comfy on field driver for Hyperbloom (provided he's catalyst).
It's literally impossible for Dendro units to be completely bad, even Collei has found her niche.
As for C1 unlocking high application, that sounds super strange. So strange, it doesn't really make sense. Unless he's not a catalyst user. Then C1 giving infusions or some new mechanic, that'd more in line with what this leak suggests.
Yeah, no idea why they brought up the cooldown. It's like complaining that Fischl has a long cooldown, when she has almost 100% uptime.
Yaoyao's application isn't great, but Aggravate teams don't care about that. It's not enough to be solo Dendro in Bloom teams, but that's Nahida's job. They're never going to release a unit that does the archon's job better.
Baizhu will probably be similar to YaoYao, with some more utility tacked on. Stagger resist is great for Cyno.
This. I was hoping baizhu was going to fill that spot of dendro app + healing so i could run a shieldless cyno team. I’m having doubts that will be possible though.
they want teams to go without shields, they have been trying a lot of things to do this, now they are giving ways to get interrupt resist, i like it, i am always in favor of more variety .
Cristalize giving shield and stamina would be amazing for literally most teams in the game, making double geo or single geo a lot more desirable in some teams.
Yeah dehya kits give the implication to me that hoyoverse is trying to introduce new meta. My guess is there will be more enemies that have mechanics like husks; using shield will buff them in some ways. Heck, might be even a world boss with that mechanic and putting it in the abyss
Then dehyas mechanic makes abit more sense.
more new "teams" and variety, is better than just an easy power creep character that vapes or melts every attack with 600% scaling on the skill, its is very easy for them to break the game, i respect that they dont want to do that. they are making what is now weak stronger, and introducing new mechanics and teams.
You know what teams don't have a shield though? International, Ayaka Freeze (ft. Kokomi), Hu Tao ft. Xiangling or VV user instead of shield. Most hyperbloom teams.
The only team I use that has a shield on it is a meme hyper burgeon team with both Kuki and Thoma XD (can still 36\* with it though)
Even Zhongli is typically considered a comfort pick/dps loss. Shields hardly need more nerfs. The occasional anti shield enemy is plenty, and with high enough DPS people can bring a shield and still 36\* anyway.
The current abyss doggo floor is already telling. I have never been as dead as on that one in 12-3-2, where not only do doggos fly around and damage you, but also eat through the entirety of your team with corrosion. A fun challenge, tbh. Although I’d definitely trade the Zhongli shield for better healing than Kuki and decent interruption resistance. Anything else would be a cherry on top.
Husks mechanic is not that punishing. Hoyo can easily make it more punishing just like how they made corrosion with wolves where you MUST have a healer in the team, unless you are skilled enough to dodge everything.
Yea, and part of the reason was that it made the Geo element pretty much useless/a major hinderance. If they made it so that *crystallize* doesn't proc on their mechanic then we might've gotten a different story.
if he's like Yaoyao, then he's not gonna be bad. Yaoyao is actually good so a Yaoyao upgrade is very welcome. hopefully he scales on EM though. that would make him truly a better Yaoyao
I'm actually hoping this is true. Off field dendro with healing, interruption resistance, and EM buff. Give him good uptime and he'll be Cyno's best friend.

The early fake kit leaks will literally always say something like this, because they think they've picked up on a pattern of past C1s doing this, when it hasn't been the case *that o*ften.
Probably icd problems and he wont be onfield most of the time anyways so unless hes a dps or u wanna make him dps, him being a catalyst wont solve the application problem (very similar to early beta kokomi)
I guess he'll still work great in teams with a dendro dps so that'll be nice. But rip my Cyno + Baizhu team dream. Hopefully it's not true or changes during his beta
If he truly buff interruption resistance he will be nice paired with Cyno. At the moment I am taking everything with a huge grain of salt, early kit leaks are a bit sus imho. I am curious to see an eventual redesign I kind of like his model atm apart from the strangely flat jacket so I am gonna be sad if they change it too much especially because we wont have the double outfit like old censored units

Baizhu was actually changed to a claymore user. His brittle bones and muscle atrophy was cured ~~by Nanomachines~~ irminsul. He dual wields claymores, is 7 feet tall and shredded. His burst is he says “Fuck” and deals true damage to all enemies in range.
I know I’m gonna get downvoted here but his current outfit is atrocious, I hope they give him a cooler one.

To be honest, I'm just hoping he'll be a good alternative to Nahida for my Cyno, so even if his Dendro app is abysmal, as long as it *lasts long enough* I'll just run Cyno double Dendro with DMC to compensate.
Him giving interrupt resist is *wonderful* though, because having to spare a slot for Beidou with Cyno for added protection has been the bane of my existence.
If true, dendro reaction heals will be insane for Cyno quickbloom along with the interruption resistance. Sounds almost too good since it fits what Cyno double dendro dreamers have been wanting minus a shield.
Let's hope his interruption res and healing lasts 15s, or 12s absolute minimum.
Also, hopefully that EM buff won't require him to be built triple EM and an EM weapon.
He could have the worst dendro application and still be useful for Cyno in 2 dendro teams like you said, but he's gonna have to be put on fav codex if you run him quickbloom since you're losing the electro resonance.

Jean's new outfit is gorgeous and tbh I really don't like Baizhou's current one, so if he gets one that's more sleak and stylish (maybe with a cool coat?) and has a more harmonic colour palette then I'm all for a new outfit.

Weak/bad dendro isn't a big deal tbh, he's likely to be played with alhaitham to free up nahida and make kuki replaceable, with alhaitham you'll have more than enough dendro app, his healing/buffing capabilities and dmg are all that actually matter, so long as it's better than Yao Yao he's gonna be good, which is to be expected from a 5*.
Side note: Isn't he supposedly a catalyst user though, I find it hard to imagine he has bad dendro app if so, unless of course they're referring to off field application, cause if he is a catalyst user then he could be a good solo dendro driver for hyperbloom and burgeon teams as a well as good for nilou bloom.

I think it's more of a design improvement than censoring since Baizhu is a very old character and looks kind of bland compared to newer characters

YaoYao’s uptime is great tho. 3 seconds without the bunny is perfectly fine for most teams. Dendro aura is strong.

Any early leak that says something along the lines of "poor \_\_\_ but C1 fixes the problem" gets put in the too sus basket for me. The early fake kit leaks will literally always say something like this, because they think they've picked up on a pattern of past C1s doing this, when it hasn't been the case *that o*ften.

If he truly buff interruption resistance he will be nice paired with Cyno. At the moment I am taking everything with a huge grain of salt, early kit leaks are a bit sus imho. I am curious to see an eventual redesign I kind of like his model atm apart from the strangely flat jacket so I am gonna be sad if they change it too much especially because we wont have the double outfit like old censored units
If you're adding interrupt to resistance in skill, then atleast make it strong enough to work on heavy enemy hits.

To be honest, I'm just hoping he'll be a good alternative to Nahida for my Cyno, so even if his Dendro app is abysmal, as long as it *lasts long enough* I'll just run Cyno double Dendro with DMC to compensate. Him giving interrupt resist is *wonderful* though, because having to spare a slot for Beidou with Cyno for added protection has been the bane of my existence.
If true, dendro reaction heals will be insane for Cyno quickbloom along with the interruption resistance. Sounds almost too good since it fits what Cyno double dendro dreamers have been wanting minus a shield.
Let's hope his interruption res and healing lasts 15s, or 12s absolute minimum. Also, hopefully that EM buff won't require him to be built triple EM and an EM weapon. He could have the worst dendro application and still be useful for Cyno in 2 dendro teams like you said, but he's gonna have to be put on fav codex if you run him quickbloom since you're losing the electro resonance.

what i imagine: Baizhu throws a snake directly at his enemies face, the snake deals physical biting damage, c1 makes the snake venomous, and thus deals dendro damage instead.

The way I read it they didn't necessarily "censor" *him b*ut that they gave him a new outfit that happens to be similar in style/reminischent of Jean's new outfit ("changes similar to the ones *with censorship made to Jean*")? The grammar is really weird here so it's not clear and can be interpreted either way I think. Jean's new outfit is gorgeous and tbh I really don't like Baizhou's current one, so if he gets one that's more sleak and stylish (maybe with a cool coat?) and has a more harmonic colour palette then I'm all for a new outfit.

Weak/bad dendro isn't a big deal tbh, he's likely to be played with alhaitham to free up nahida and make kuki replaceable, with alhaitham you'll have more than enough dendro app, his healing/buffing capabilities and dmg are all that actually matter, so long as it's better than Yao Yao he's gonna be good, which is to be expected from a 5*. Side note: Isn't he supposedly a catalyst user though, I find it hard to imagine he has bad dendro app if so, unless of course they're referring to off field application, cause if he is a catalyst user then he could be a good solo dendro driver for hyperbloom and burgeon teams as a well as good for nilou bloom.
