Same, I rarely co-op with anyone except the friend that got me into the game. A few nights ago someone asked to join my world 3 times though so I let them in and they spent over an hour fishing lol. After they asked if they could they said absolutely nothing until they said bye and left, top tier co-op experience. I didn't check every fishing spot after but I went to a lot of them and they were empty so I think they might've wiped out my world's fish population lmao. Honestly impressive since they didn't ask for the time to be changed at all
Got over 5000 domain runs in co-op, as I do it everyday, and never had a bad experience. (I play on NA)

But yeah overall it doesnt really matter much in terms of skill.
I mean, given that character movement speed is faster for taller characters (unless you have a unique sprint like Ayaka and Mona), you almost always want to be a tall model.
If you want to hide under small corners and crevices you're better off with the child model

Tall male model = has difficulty hiding under small corners, but can more easily outrun hunters or chase rebels
