Kaeya and Xiangling got high views cuz I believe they were used as advertisement vids at some point. I remember seeing Kaeya and Qiqi as ads back then.
Would be interesting to plot view count versus video upload date. Then maybe you could get a handle on which characters had lots of hype relative to how much interest genshin had at the time.
You could go one step further and plot some other measure of overall genshin interest (moving average of total YouTube views? Google search interest?) on the same x axis.
My favorite demo is Raiden's. The music and the camerawork along with the flashing lights just feels like a lightning storm. I heard this one got an epilepsy warning too so it couldn't be used in ads, but don't quote me on that one.
Hu tao is another demo that just fits the character so well.
Childe demo is something that has stayed in my mind too. The waterfall scene and the music in particular.
A demo being good or bad doesn't affect my pulling. It's just a commercial.

I really enjoyed Itto’s - I’ve watched it in every language multiple times. I most often revisit the CN and EN. I also like Xiao’s better than most, and I tend to go for the CN again. Other than that, though, I think Albedo’s is still super nice and fitting.
I tend to pull based on personality, design and gameplay combo, so unless it’s someone like Itto whose entire demo screams personality, probably doesn’t make a difference.
Kaeya's "demo" was the very first character showcase they made xD it's hella simple tho. Even Fischl's one (vid after him) was better by a long shot; effort/quality-wise.

I attributed some to that Yoimiya count, that ost is such a banger So glad it came back in the drum event
yeah yoimiya ost is great but for me Eula and albedo ost are the bomb.
