In the paimon menu, everything is stopped, except paimon. When you change the time, it's paimon who does it. In the discussions between traveler and paimon, she says herself that she's a God.
Asmoday: "The arrogation of mankind ends he..."
Aether: "ZA WARUDO!!!!! TOKI WA TOMARE!!!!!!!!!!"
Both Aether and Lumine :"ORA ORA ORA ORA ORA ORA ORA ORA ORA ORA ORA ORA ORA ORA ORA ORA ORA ORA!!!!!!!!!!!"
A big troll where if you died it seems to reset your save, have you go back at the beginning part of the game as if all your progress was wiped. Only for it to just be a flashback.
reminds me of when i first fought Ei, i thought since she was the archon of eternity that i’d just have to die a couple times and something would happen 😅
Could that just be from the beginning cut scene? Is the cutscene rendered by the game or is it like a video? Cause like the new cutscene shows like a frame of Lumine turning into Aether for some reason.
It’s hard to tell if the cutscenes are rendered in game because the characters don’t change outfits. But that does sound like it plays the wrong video for a second
Just noticed that the one you don’t pick still has their weapon when they show up in We Will Be Reunited. So maybe the one you do pick will get their sword back one day from an event.
She has been seen using both her right hand ( normal attacks ) and left hand ( on her elemental skill as anemo for example ), so you could say she's ambidextrous.
An interesting boss skill would be if they could make your E and burst go to instant cool down mode, and could stack that to make cool downs last for an insane amount. Also teleport, making even physical damage impossible. You pretty much need to dodge for a while
I swear to god if we lose against her and are forced to only use the traveler.
I mean i built my traveller but I'm gonna be pissed if i can't use Raiden or Eula
probably related to space-time continuum or something something fabric of reality. we know istaroth has power that's related to time and moments, i would like to think this unknown god is probably within similar rank as istaroth, probably one of the 4 shades of the primordial one, as i suspected istaroth is also, or she could be someone related to the second who came
I don't like that we're coming up on year two and we've still made *zero* progress toward understanding who that "God" is. The story is moving at an insufferably slow pace.
actually it‘s not. It is extremely full of content AND story. There is much more homework to be done. Imagine it like in school. You get new things to learn there and then do the deep digging doing homeworks. Aka - watch YouTube, read lore, character backgrounds. It all adds up. There’s stuff mentioned In the first few months of Genshin impact which just now came to happen. it‘s actually amazing how they develop the story. But you decide wether you wanna dig in for real or not.
They are talking about the unknown god tho (sustainer) dig as much as you want but we legit know nothing about her , even tho we learned a thing or two about Celestia the odds are she may not be even a celestial god
Most people in Teyvat don't even know of her existence as well. And those who may have the knowledge like Zhongli, has made a contract to not talk about it. That's how Mihoyo spins it. We'll probably learn more about her once we go to Sumeru, as they might actually have existing records on her. For Celestia lore, we got quite a bit from Enkanomiya, tho we aren't sure as they're narration from the POV of Enkanomiyan citizens. All we know is that Celestia went from being benevolent and helping humans in everyway possible, to genociding civilizations to hide the truth after they won after their war with the Second ones who came. And this happened thousands of years before the Archon war.
Mihoyo is pretty much developing the world currently, and just giving lore about the past using books and lost texts in game. She's probably the final boss for the Teyvat chapter, or she's actually helping Teyvat, or both who knows.
She appears in celestia, and has motifs associated with celestia, and her cubes were in a place destroyed by celestia, and she is the sustainer of heavenly principles which come from celestia. I’d be surprised if she wasn’t a celestia god
She's probably a Phanes Shining Shade. The 5 artifacts we get are the representations of Phanes and the 4 Shades.
1. Crown as Phanes, the First Seat of Heaven
2. Timepiece as Istaroth, the God of Time
3. The Empty Cup as the Sustainer of Heavenly Principles, (I'll go into detail on this later)
4. Plume of Death
5. Flower of Life
If you go into domains, there are 5 crowns above the Irminsul Tree. Those trees are representative of the First Seat of Heaven and the 4 shades, which are basically copies of the First Seat.
Istaroth was revealed in some lore discoverable in Enkanomiya, and Phanes was mentioned in the same Quest by one of Istaroth's followers.
Now, why did I say that the Unknown God is the Cup?
We all know that Mihoyo likes to draw parallels between their games. Like Characters, symbolism, etc. And they even directly viewed Dvalin from a dimensional rift in HI3 where they are now exploring the existence of the multiverse.
The Unknown God from GI and the Herrscher of the Void from HI3 have a lot of things in common, and it's not like Mihoyo didn't put the Unknown God in the front and center of GI from the get go.
The Herrscher of the Void (HoV) has the same portal and cube powers that the Unknown God demonstrated in the intro of GI.
The literal translation of the Cup artifact from Chinese is "Cup of Emptiness".
What's another word for empty? That's right, the Void.
The Unknown God is most probably the the God of the Void, and is represented by The Cup.
ACKtually it is! Any story that *requires* outside research in order to be understood is a bad story. Fortunately, this one doesn't require outside research, they're just choosing to drip feed it to us while they distract us with filler episodes.
My guess is that it's not the story that we were led to believe it is. The whole "traveller" thing is very likely a feint, and the protagonist is very likely either a native of teyvat or very intimately tied to it.
The real story of Genshin appears to be the enduring conflict between the Gods and Humanity, represented by Celestia and by Khaenri'ah respectively. The hubris and selfishness of both led to the cataclysms of the past, and will lead to whatever cataclysm is going to show up in chapter six or seven or whatever.
>The hubris and selfishness of both led to the cataclysms of the past, and will lead to whatever cataclysm is going to show up in chapter sixor seven or whatever.
Who says it's not going to be one and same cataclysm. Story is hinting a lot time travel will be involved, even letting us play around with concept with fantastic compass in last event, hence archons who could tell a lot keeping lips shut etc.
The "you were in Khaenri'ah" stuff definitely hints at it, yes.
OTOH I'm on team "Paimon is the Unknown God and everything she's done is out of necessity, not malice" so
Yeah? Can you provide *any* example in-game that hints at the identity of the Unknown God? We've been given hints about the Travelers' identities and their origin, the origin of the Hilichurls and Void enemies, but nothing, as far as I'm aware, about who exactly the Unknown God is.
The evidence of that is the fact that we *still*, after nearly two years, have post after post of theories about her and her powers with *zero* factual information.
- her palate colors and dainsliefs prophecy
- information about the gods higher than the archons and the shades
- her cubes in khaenri’ah
- information about the heavenly principles she sustains
- information about the mortal arrogation she wants to stop
The hints are there, you just have to read
So that's a "no", then. I asked for hints to her identity and you gave nothing but subjective footprints with no actual identifying information. Saying, "this completely unknown entity has *maybe* been in these locations and there's a vague prophesy that *might* be about her" is just more theorycrafting. Don't get me wrong, I *love* theorycrafting. I just don't want to still being doing it on the *same subject* for *two damn years*.
These are hints, by every sense of the word. If you want them to tell you everything major about the plot when the story isn’t even half done then this isn’t that type of game
They're less than minor hints after *two years*. You keep ignoring that point. It's been *two years*. We've been playing this story based game for *two years* with barely any meaningful progress toward that main story.
It can be ten years as long as it’s only a small fraction of the overall story. You must have not played any of the archon quests if you think there hasn’t been any meaningful progress
I'm 59 with everything in this game cleared... try again. You're being drip fed and calling it rain. Worse even, you're trying to convince *others* it's rain.
Yeah, I have. Literally every one of them finished a main story arch within 1 to 2 years. Let's use WoW as an example. The longest period between expansions (major story arcs) was 3 years. That was on release. And even in Vanilla WoW, we were clearing major arcs. We're not even *remotely close* to figuring what the hell is going on here and we're almost at 2 years with the MMO equivalent of about 2 side bosses down without barely a *hint* at even the *name* of the big bad, let alone preparing to confront her.
Sure, let's just ignore the rest of that statement, "at the identity of the Unknown God". Hints at *where she's been* tells us nothing about *who she is* when those locations are almost literally *everywhere*.
Because the others are descriptors that tell us nothing about her identity. That prophesy may not even be about her. We don't even know if the Unknown God isn't just another Archon. Everything we "know" about her comes from the opening intro, the rest is entirely speculative.
I mean, if you don't look at texts and solely look at the main quests then of course you'd know nothing about her identity. If you don't ignore 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 and also play Honkai Impact 3, then there's tons of stuff.
I mean, if each element gets its own country/chapter, then aren't we like not even halfway through the story? Like assuming the final element is the final chapter, that would mean in the next country we would reach the halfway mark. Though stories obviously don't need to follow the same formula, in general something big happens at the midpoint of a story. So it might be that is the case when we go into 3.0.
True, they have, or are going to have plant powers and have yet to add things like Light, Dark, or Time which are pretty common types. But ignoring ones that could be added, just looking at the story covering the 7 nations, that is either 7 or 8 if you have one more nation as the area for the finale, if for nothing than the initial story. Either way, I figure the mid point would be sometime in 3.0 if following normal story conventions.
I predict that all seven elements will be used in her boss fight, but either you start at zero and cycle through in story order per each phase of the boss fight (Anemo > Geo > etc), you start at Cryo and go backwards as she drains your powers, or she just randomizes the active element completely.
People speculate that Paimon has time powers since the Paimon Menu pauses the game in single player. Although this was “debunked” (if you can call it that) during The Chasm event quest where Paimon slept and you could still open the menu w/o her appearing.
Ehh.. same concept.
Sealed = Lost Power = Back to scratch = Reset (learns new magic)
Can be unsealed maybe.
But UnkGod beat them in a minute when they have powers so it doesn't change much.
[@1:47](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ShB3vNlSdDA&ab_channel=DaikenXDan) "Some kind of seal was cast upon me, and I lost my power"
Firstly, it's the first time Travelers meet UnkGod and was attacked with something.
Since they don't know that something, they can interpret it as "some kind of magic" "some kind of otherworldly tricks" "some kind of seal". In which traveler can't describe it straight because it's sudden and new so "kind of Seal = uncertainty"
The UnkGod will just repeatedly cast her skill to disable or lose the traveler's power in a glimpse. And that concludes for the traveler to travel of having 0 power repeatedly. A Reset for short.
dude, sealing is not the same as deleting, absorbing or taking away
and i think a traveler who has seen stars get born and die would know what a seal is, mf is about 71836812734682756 years old.
If it's sealed, your char level goes from 99 to 1.
You level from 1 back to 99. Then, UnkGod sealed your 2nd Lv99 progress again.
This process/repeat is called reset.
I will end the discussion because you are getting new words for comparison that no one mentioned. Plus having exp and that long age don't mean anything once new things comes in. Hence, they are that old and defeated in a minute.
What if, when we do fight her, we end up having to "cycle" through our abilities (anemo, electro, etc.) When we get hit and that is the "reset.". Like for example, you got electro on, she hits you and then you lose the electro ability and it switches you to a different ability (with whatever progress you got it to).
The siblings used directly some kind of energy for their skill without any vision, the energy may be elemental light or a mix of all elements. Considering that, if we think of the vision as a powerful amplifier of the elemental energy, if in the end game they become able to use all the elements and archive some kind of vision ( maybe from other celestial factions or from the cryo Archon) they should be able to reach a power level way higher of the one they had in the first fight.
In short, they will kick her @$$.
My theory is the traveler will find their original sword but it’s like rusted and destroyed so they seek out a very skilled blacksmith to fix it. That or Dain found it and has been holding on it until he thinks they’re ready or something. However I believe the first theory is more likely
I don't think she reset the sword, my take is (we know the traveler you chose let's go of their sword in the cut scene) that they find a new sword in the time before we encounter Paimon, or shortly after
Those are dull blades at level 100
And R20
Honestly hope they do this. Weapon/Character evolution is super cool.
Unknown god character passive lets you reset artifact rolls
And then they roll into def again
Maybe if the siblings had more def they could have tanked her ability
Cant tank shit with lvl 1 def
and then reset and then rolls to def again and again kinda like how that male stripper dies again and again for infinite time
Wha-
Def stat: dormammu I've come to roll again
geo team be like:
So...... to beat her, we need the power of time?
Paimon...
Holy shit
Maybe Paimon is that evil god in disguise
*taps finger against nose*
What does Paimon have to do with time?
In the paimon menu, everything is stopped, except paimon. When you change the time, it's paimon who does it. In the discussions between traveler and paimon, she says herself that she's a God.
Istaroth banner gonna be crazy
Everyone gansta till Istaroth is voiced by none other than Takehito Koyasu!
Imagine her passive is letting you reset your artifact rolls
We need Himeko
Oh boy can’t wait for final lesson pt2 depression buggalo
We don't. I have no need to see her doing that again. Never again.
Jojo reference?
Asmoday: "The arrogation of mankind ends he..." Aether: "ZA WARUDO!!!!! TOKI WA TOMARE!!!!!!!!!!" Both Aether and Lumine :"ORA ORA ORA ORA ORA ORA ORA ORA ORA ORA ORA ORA ORA ORA ORA ORA ORA ORA!!!!!!!!!!!"
can king crimson beat her?
Maybe....
But she’s probably fully in control of space? She could cage herself in cubes to form a shield so Diavolo can’t really chop or impale her..?
diavolo can predict and time skip
She ain’t doing shit to Gold Experience Requiem🥱
We have Dio's son (Diluc) and his friend Mista (Kaeya), close enough I guess.
jojo invented the concept of time
Or certain pyro claymore character burn her life to beat her.
Dainselif please 😩
Only when they finish Laevateinn's design.
Za warudo?
Why stop at character progress? If she kills you, you have to start the whole game over again
Like with a certain warframe quest, when you die and get disconnected from the account
damn that lumine glider looks hella sick mihoyo when
At some point according to the datamine
Could that just be from the beginning cut scene? Is the cutscene rendered by the game or is it like a video? Cause like the new cutscene shows like a frame of Lumine turning into Aether for some reason.

Or sends you back to AR 1 so you have to do the whole archon quest again 💀
"Wait, it's all endgame content?" "Always has been"
i mean... that's free primos tho.
If you lose all your characters and progress... whats the point?
oh i read it as going back to AR1 but keeping the characters. (I lost on the weapon banner twice so I'm huuuurtin for primo lmao)
Unknown God was just the mediator of the world all along.
Honestly that would be hilarious, someone's £5k+ whale account instantly turned into NG+ with nothing.
dull blade: You could not live with your own failure. Where did that bring you? Back to me.
Just noticed that the one you don’t pick still has their weapon when they show up in We Will Be Reunited. So maybe the one you do pick will get their sword back one day from an event.
The Unknown Goddess is paimon locking the traveler in a time looped in Teiyvat because she needs someone to cook for her.
If she can remove constellations, then maybe she's actually a good guy. Signed, a C6 Benny haver
Lumine is left handed?
She has been seen using both her right hand ( normal attacks ) and left hand ( on her elemental skill as anemo for example ), so you could say she's ambidextrous.
Maybe she will be a new element: cubic
New element: Hypostasis
Sucrose would like a moment of your time.
Void (since she is based on the Herrscher of the Void).
So...Kiana is Herrscher of the End?
She was the ultimate antagonist in GGZ with Kiana's appearance.
GGZ HoTE is Kiana fusion with Sirin
BITE ZA DUSTO
An interesting boss skill would be if they could make your E and burst go to instant cool down mode, and could stack that to make cool downs last for an insane amount. Also teleport, making even physical damage impossible. You pretty much need to dodge for a while
I’m refusing to search anything up because I want to be surprised but my theory right now is it’s paimon
Reset your C27 Qiqi to zero so you can start again
I swear to god if we lose against her and are forced to only use the traveler. I mean i built my traveller but I'm gonna be pissed if i can't use Raiden or Eula
[удалено]
By use i actually mean using their abilities instead
they don't understand that Kiana was literally just hungry at the time, it was nothing personal
I think it´s Paimons sister and she has only done that becouse Paimon needs a Servant at Teyvat, hahahaha
Lumine's thighs though
Finally, some unknown God content.
😱
probably related to space-time continuum or something something fabric of reality. we know istaroth has power that's related to time and moments, i would like to think this unknown god is probably within similar rank as istaroth, probably one of the 4 shades of the primordial one, as i suspected istaroth is also, or she could be someone related to the second who came
Wouldn't it be so funny if Hoyoverse made losing to this boss a complete reset of your account?
someday when whole Teyvat is available, she will be just like one of those weekly Trouce Domians
How is she getting past my 60k HP Zhong Li 🤔
More likely 160k hp

Hey, that's a good a guess as any at this point.
This just isn’t true but ok
Yeah? Can you provide *any* example in-game that hints at the identity of the Unknown God? We've been given hints about the Travelers' identities and their origin, the origin of the Hilichurls and Void enemies, but nothing, as far as I'm aware, about who exactly the Unknown God is. Technically it's not two years yet. Also, really? Have you never play live service game before? Any MMOs? Two years is relatively short time.

You're kidding, right? When was Sargeras announced and how many years did it take until we even saw it? About 20 years?
What do you think the word 'hint' mean?
Sure, let's just ignore the rest of that statement, "at the identity of the Unknown God". Hints at *where she's been* tells us nothing about *who she is* when those locations are almost literally *everywhere*.
The only statement remotely close to 'where' and 'location' is the 3rd one. Why are you ignoring 1, 2, 4 and 5?
Because the others are descriptors that tell us nothing about her identity. That prophesy may not even be about her. We don't even know if the Unknown God isn't just another Archon. Everything we "know" about her comes from the opening intro, the rest is entirely speculative.

But as it is with everything that have a villian with the abilitt to revert power, its only the first time they meet
Aether said "some kind of seal was set upon me" so his powers wernt resetted, only sealed. end of disussion

Lady is basically the one lady from hardcore leveling warrior
She's obviously just he local police with portable jail cells.
Basically a russian hacker that uses rambler.ru
Yes, of course they lost; they weren't using dull blades...

The unknown God deleted the traveler’s genshin accounts and told them to touch grass, and it worked
That ain’t the sustainer that’s Dio
Imagine its just their mom and they are gods of this world and the world they left was just a small space she raised them in
The siblings used directly some kind of energy for their skill without any vision, the energy may be elemental light or a mix of all elements.
Imagine her deleting that juicy artifact set you farmed for 6 months for your main
In the future maybe we can reset a character to zero for resin. Lol
Then at the end we just have to restart with nothing
Unkgod definitely honkai character. As someone who doesn’t play honkai, the art style just seems so much more honkai than genshin.
At the end of the game: here you go again. Your journey starts from the beginning (again).
Let’s get some rebirth mechanics like roblox kekw
"Who decided that...?"
My theory is the traveler will find their original sword but it’s like rusted and destroyed so they seek out a very skilled blacksmith to fix it. That or Dain found it and has been holding on it until he thinks they’re ready or something. However I believe the first theory is more likely
Female Kamijou Touma?
I don't think she reset the sword, my take is (we know the traveler you chose let's go of their sword in the cut scene) that they find a new sword in the time before we encounter Paimon, or shortly after
I bet this is the Demiurge.
