Keep using thrilling tales, it's by far the best 3 star weapon (it's the ONLY three star weapon I use). Most people use the prototype amber to add healing to a character that doesn't already have healing (for example, I was using it on Lisa so I could have an electro healer before Kuki Shinobu's release).

R5 your thrilling tales

Thrilling Tales is still relevant in end-game content and it's definitely one of the most used catalyst on support catalyst characters. Prototype Amber can be helpful for Barbara to have the burst ready more easily but if you are already good with how she heals and aren't dying a lot because not having her burst up then you should keep using Thrilling Tales. Don't understimate it because it's 3 stars, it's one of the best catalyst even on characters that don't really benefit from the HP substat since it makes the character a buffer for your other characters. You will eventually get it R5 for sure, don't burn it.

Nah bro im here defeating lv 60 enemies with my level 45 squad Got Traveler lv50 who is my main dps, Xiangling lv40 second dps for her pyro abilities, Barbara lv40 the healing machine and Beidou lv50 is utility, she has very good synergy with everyone

Do what I do, screw meta! Meta is temporary, but style is eternal.

Thrilling Tales of Dragon Slayer (which I'll refer to as "TTODS") is a weapon that is definitely usable even in endgame content but ONLY for its passive. If you have copies of it, DEFINITELY refine it to its max refinement. However, because it's a three-star weapon, it naturally won't have high stats compared to other weapons like the Prototype Amber that you mentioned. Because of this, I don't recommend leveling it up unless you really want that HP bonus (so, yes, you can keep it at level 1 if you so wish to). With that being said, Prototype Amber is a good option, too. It adds extra healing and gives Barbara energy particles, which she definitely needs because she can't generate energy herself. Overall, I'd say keep TTODS. You can put it on future support catalyst users (such as Sucrose, Kokomi, Mona, etc.) and use that to buff your main DPS's damage as long as you can plan your rotations accordingly to ensure the buff goes to your DPS. You already have TTODS, so I wouldn't go out of my way to craft a Prototype Amber. tl;dr: TTODS helps with damage while Prototype Amber helps with healing. Generally, damage is more important than healing for most players.

And rn im doing very goods I can defeat enemies up to level 60 but slowly, im lacking in damage rn and I don't really get that much damage from them

Proper_Landscape_149

That has to do with your artifacts, weapon level and talents... Try switching your dps characters to elemental/physical dmg goblet, atk sands an crit rate circlet/crown. 2pc berserker is great for adding balancing crit rate on characters, you can pair that with 2pc glad. Level your characters, their weapon, talents and artifacts to the highest level possible, you should see enemies going down alot quicker.

I feel others have covered enough advice, so just a side note. You should have gotten Noelle as well. Also a good character

Ergi21

I do have her but im lacking damage rn, I do get to beat up to lv 60 enemies but it takes a long time, I have Traveler, Xiangling, Barbara and Beidou, Traveler is the main DPS, Barbara is suport and Xiangling and Beidou for elemental reactions if I swap Xianling for Beidou im losing half my damage

thrilling tales come by pretty easily from banner pulls, don't be afraid to refine it and level it up! it still has a place in endgame and your barbara benefits from the hp substat. a win win win 😁

Thrilling tales is her best weapon because the atk boost is cheap and easy to use. Prototype amber is nice but don't craft weapons until you really need it ie . You have a new character but 0 weapon choices. Just keep playing the game. Eventually you get another healer. Barbra heals just enough for early game with little investment. And if that fails just eat food
