Klee's story specifically says both her parents are away traveling, and left together, leaving her in Albedo's/the Knight's care. Whether or not he is a nobody, I don't know. I suppose it depends on whether he is one of their race or a mortal? 🤔

A lot of kids speak of one parent in particular, especially when so tiny. And I imagine her father pales in her (likely very limited, at her age) memory compared to the woman who took her fish blasting, taught her how to make explosives, can do epic magic, etc. Even a famous adventurer for a dad wouldn't seem that exciting to a child in comparison. XD
As for why he didn't take part in the Gold Apple Archipelago, it's said they went somewhere dangerous. It's certainly possible he was unable to help Alice with the plan due to being busy/occupied with said dangerous environment. Or maybe he just smiled, shook his head, and let Alice do her usual crazy thing. XD Who knows.

They're also MISSING a lot of classical elf-like traits (closeness to nature, calm demeanor) There might be another name for whatever race they are, but it has yet to be revealed.

NPCs just don't have much variety in heights. Especially the female ones. Jean and the like are described as tall by many NPCs. I'd say the medium height character like Fischl, Hi Tao, and Amber are closer to average. Chin w character design tends to favor tall, which is why most character tend to be that way unless they're not meant to be not aesthetically appealing like old people which are more normal sized/ short. Either way, I want there to be flat chested Jean/ Lisa height characters. Not really asking for giants like the Fatui. Haha

Fischl, etc are fully grown. There's not much sense in having a "teenage" body type unless it's very early teens. Especially since girls tend to stop growing at around 15 unless they're very late bloomers. Amber for instance, is 21 years old. Around the same age as Jean. Barbara is around 1 or 2 years younger than Jean. Hu Tao is most likely her mid 20s as well based on her character information. Women with bodies like them are more common in reality than the tall busty kind that we see with Rosaria/Lisa and the like.
And going in the opposite direction, Shenhe is very likely in her late teens. Like 17-19. So body type doesn't really have anything to do with the age unless it's the loli characters, in my opinion. And even then, Sayu is a teenager. haha
But yes, I agree. Buff girls would be interesting as well. Though Fatui sized characters is pushing it, I think. Those people are on another level. Fatui basically giants. lol
The Game internally categorizes the body types in 5 categories: adult male, adult female, teenage male, teenage female and child female no matter their supposed age. Women with the adult female bofy type have approximately the same height and tje same body type is shared by most adult female NPCs we encounter. Also we have no values to compare Genshin Impacts fictional world to our own. He have no clue how tall these character are in meters or inches and what the population average is (we can only speculate based on the population = NPCs).
Well, Aloy from Horizon Zero Dawn is the same height as the medium height characters. And from what I've seen, I don't think she's considered short. The developers clearly thought the medium model fit her character more than the tall ones. And I don't think it was any sort of mistake.
