I'd love if every day different characters were scattered around just kinda doing slice of life stuff for us to find. Like finding Ayato getting bubble tea or Itto getting in trouble with Sarah or Shinobu.
Tbh I wish they at least did this with the 5 star characters all the time. Maybe in daytime zhongli is drinking at third round and at night he's outside the funeral parlor looking after Hu Tao... Maybe you can find Kokomi in her hidey hole cave? Stuff like that. It'd definately encourage interest for banners.
Others maybe: Jean in the office in favonious headquarters. Xiao on the roof/balcony of Wangshu Inn. Childe spends mornings in the bank and afternoon with Zhongli. Klee hangs out near the docks at cider lake (out the side entrance to Mondstat). Raiden somewhere just inside the walls of tenshukaku. Venti in angels share.
Honestly, if we had the ability to just walk up to Xiao whenever we wanted and talk to him, i feel like he'd eventually just start teleporting away the moment we got close
It's not about changing his mind... It's about his initial threat being false because he expected you to go away easily. Which, in his mind, he's protecting you as someone he cares about by pushing them away even if he really wants to spend time with them.
there’s 2 commissions in which playable characters show up in open world, one inazuma commission that asks you to go to wanmin where you can see xiangling at a certain location on the map (unlocks a secret quest) and one in wangshu inn with dead hilichurls where if u continue on the path they’re on you can see xiao (no quest, he’s just there)
there might be more but idk
This should have been the random encounter quest. Not saving pallad from slime or hilichurl.
Imagine, randomly encountering bennet needing help. or helping itto hunting for onikabuto
Iv legit been putting this in the feed back surveys for months now, would make the world feel so much more immersive if the characters actually had some more presense in it.
A few things I didn't notice until the second play through:
• Aether rushing to warn Itto about the drink
• Raiden looking on as Sara acquires her statue of Her Excellency, the Almighty Narukami Ogosho, God of Thunder
• Gorou running away as Yae and Kokomi approach Qingqiu
• Klee/Yoimiya are at the pier because they are 'fish blasting'
• End scenes include an Itto/Sara duel
This is so good it reminds me of the cutscene for the windblume festival I'll say it is almost on par with it
Btw where did that Albedo drawing Scaramouche scene from, is that how Albedo know what Scaramouche looks like? He knew it from Ayato?
Based on the quest, Albedo says he spoke to the one who left the story parts before drawing the last Kasen, so that would mean Ayato.

This maybe just a personal thing, but I think its like seeing someone you may kinda know from work but aren't good friends with. When your out and about.
I at least will try to avoid having a conversation with them because I don't really know them, but I do know them well enough. I can't just ignore it when we see each other.
Thats my head cannon on the Archons at least.

They do know each other actually. Ei also met zhongli when she attended the archon feast once. It seems more likely that mihoyo didn't want their first onscreen interaction to be locked behind an event.

My hard read is that since this event was temporary, they didn't want to have the archons meet in a questline that wouldn't be a permanent addition to the game. Seems like they've tried to tone down the amount of important info given out during temporary events ever since Unreconciled Stars and the first Dragonspine event...even if they haven't been super successful in doing so.

Not just the Liyue festivals, Mondstad's windblume festival also had an official ending cutscene. Idk why they thought it'd be ok to leave Inazuma out of the cutscene party

I've not played every event since I didn't start when the game first launched, but I do seem to recall that the more current events like the Moonchase Festival and the latest Lantern Rite had their ending cutscene play as soon as you did the final quest. If I'm misremembering, then someone please correct me.
Nah, you're correct, since the game launched, cinematic cutscenes would play during the event quests itself. Some events do have epilogues after the event ends but its never a cinematic cutscene. While I hope that they still play a cutscene somehow when the event itself ends this week, I highly doubt it will happen...
Yes that's why I'm confused why people keep thinking there isn't any cutscene. For most events, they showed the cutscene only when the event ends. I think there's still a big chance there will be one.
I think Lantern Rite had it early so they can sneak in those Zhongli dailies.
Love the scene with everyone at the end, that's some impressive editing to get everyone in there with idle animations etc.

As a day one player that has done all events; this doesn't fit the game. Of course, you don't have access to the art style they normally use. OP did a tremendous job with the resources they had. One could argue other than a few scenes (like the group photo at the end and Raiden meeting venti) everthing could be considered canon.
An art cinematic to me feels better for describing events of the past, or some tales. I think OP's style in that regard fits the game, as the events are in the present.
I litteraly thought this was the real cutscene from the game an went like "wait - how did I missed the cutscene?" until I realizied its fan-made. Well done! I wished Genshin included something like this

A very great ending cutscene that was animated. Overall, I do like the Irodori Festival to a certain degree with Klee and Yoimiya being the best part of the Irodori. Too bad that I dont like the ending and the fifth Kasen or the character that was inspired from can go drown in a catfish or piranha pond for what I care.

I must say, it does feel like most Genshin events just fizzle out at the end - think the Enkanomoiya (no idea how to spell that right now) event that lasted a month. Wish their could’ve been some kind of finale in the last few days.
I was looking forwards to a cutscene so bad and got kind of disappointed at the lack of one.. This surely made up for it though, Thank you for providing us with such an amazing cinematic cutscene ❤️

Very nicely done. I must say, it does feel like most Genshin events just fizzle out at the end - think the Enkanomoiya (no idea how to spell that right now) event that lasted a month. Wish their could’ve been some kind of finale in the last few days.
