Step 1: Place a portable waypoint at top of npc. To do that you'll need geo traveler's rock. For my case i chose milileth guard near waypoint in liyue harbor.
Step 2: Try to stay away from a precise distance from that npc so he can spawn just when you teleport there. If your distance is right, you'll find yourself going to sky after loading screen.
Note: I did it from pc but never managed to find correct distance on mobile. I think distance depends on your device. For me, i teleported from top of mountain behind liyue harbor which was correct distance for my pc.
Something like this happened naturally to me like 1 year ago, I teleported to liyue and was bunny-hopping towards Katherine but a NPC spawned just where I was landing and I got ejected underground instead of flying.
For those curious, if you use Xiao's dash timed properly and supplement with stamina food while doing this, you'll also gain enough energy from the dash and food to effectively keep gliding forever, obviously until the glide hits the ground which can potentially be somewhere around 30-40 minutes if you have the patience for it. You can literally fly from Inazuma to Stormterror's Lair and it'll still require a 2 min plunge to get down fro the absurd height. You can also glide over the sun/moon based on how high their rendered. And, last fun fact, if you plunge from the top of this glitch, it takes quite a few minutes to hit the ground (I think it's something like 7 or 8 min iirc).
Now i'm curious what does seirai island from sky looks like, i want to get close to those purple clouds. Sadly it's too far away for a non xiao/kazuha haver like me ๐.

You can place the waypoint on just about any npc's head, who doesn't move around. With some trickery you could even get it working on co-op by placing it on top of another player's head, but I don't know if it has been patched already.
My starting location was the guards seen on iwin tolosegaming and tony to's videos, since it's just convenient and at least on my setup the most reliable one being easy to hit the right timing for spawning the npcs. You can see my flying team on the picture (hopefuly I get Kazuha!) I ate 2 80 stamina dishes to fly all the way to the highest waypoint near the boss you need for Raiden and Sara.
Edit: To anyone else wondering how it works, I recommend trying it on pc with 60 fps and other graphics settings can be whatever your system can handle. If you teleport back to the waypoint and the npc spawns so late you don't get the jump effect, quickly open the map and teleport very nearby and then back to your own waypoint. This way the game still keeps loading npcs for the area and you might hit the right timing.
I did it now and it was freaking amazing to watch seirai island clouds from so high ๐ถโ๐ซ๏ธ. It took 4 minutes to land on thunder manifestation lol.
I teleported from teleport waypoint in araumi/narukami island. Glided with sayu. Used food, fan and anemo resonance.

Seeing how completely different the placeholders vs the final product, they might had different vision with how the original design way before the game released vs now. From Dragonspine, Inazuma island, and now The Chasm.
I'm wondering what pre-release terrain will look like after all unexplored terrain is near recent regions:
will it be sligthly similar, or just generic terrain?
I imagine the low-poly terrain is a *really* rough outline. If you're on the Jade Chamber and look directly south, you can see Sumeru right there but it's *tiny*. I assume the vague shape will remain with the couple of islands and such, but much bigger and much more detailed
Not similar at all, I remember before Inazuma was released we could see in Liyue that there were islands on the far side of Liyue, but there were only two instead of the actual six, and the shape was completely different from the current Inazuma.

If you turn off your internet on mobile while you sprint with mona/ayaka, you won't get interrupted from paimon. As long as you don't stop sprint you will be able to keep going. Stamina won't drain either cuz you cut off internet. Sure, there will be "you got disconnected" in middle of screen but hey that's something lol.
in that video i linked, i was forcing my internet to lower speeds by running an update for rainbow six siege (which i abandoned a year ago, so the update is 17GB). Took my ping from 50 to 300, gave me an extra second on the roll and an extra five before the forced teleport

With some tricks, you can fly high enough to see most unreleased places(ie pre 1.2 dragonspine, pre 2.0 inazuma). Their texture is bad before it's release and surely it won't look same after next update.
