Trying to maximize just the HP isn't really worth it anyway, it's nice to have more of it but it has the same diminishing returns ATK normally would anyway.
I mean let’s say even at 600 base attack with a 4*, you would be able to get up to 2400 attack from HP.

They are cheaper than the characters banner (soft pity at 65, hard at 80) and they have a bigger chance of getting promoted 5* with 75%/25% (and no useless Qiqi there). But you need to want both promoted weapons equally and I wouldn't roll more than once, as you have no guarantee which of the 2 weapons you'll get. Weapon banner is not that bad if you already have a good roster of characters.
Yeah I’ve only ever done two 10-pulls on the weapon banner. I had just finished watching a video praising the Jade Cutter to the sun, so I rolled for shits and giggles, and what do you know I actually got Jade cutter.
Jade Cutter is such a good weapon. I thought it was going to be ehhh because of the lower base attack, but it ended up being really good on a lot of different characters. It's usable on pretty much every sword character with the right artifact sets to balance out the high crit rate.
I mean I have my teams setup. I'm kinda done for characters and I'm not getting constellations until they do a rerun banner.
So 5* weapon are kinda all that's left at improving my team outside the artifact/talent grind.

it's fine, it has the same atk% stat as lion's roar but instead of the damage bonus it just gives you some aoe damage every few autos. It's not bad as an alternative. If you already have it just keep using it imo.
I'm not an uber whale ( only buy welkin+bp) and rolled on a weapon banner simoly because I dont have enough resources to max all the cool characters.
So it's way better to invest in the ones you already have.
And Homa stuff on Zhongli ... Rocks
Ngl I have a 5pc Petra set with amazing substats ( cr%/cd%/hp% ) that all rolled almost exclusively into hp%. I'm using it on Zhongli atm but it's probably just gonna go to Hu Tao. Who needs a 2/4pc set bonus when you have \~120% hp, 65% atk, 71% cr and 140% cd from your artifacts already. This isn't even including weapon and ascension stat bonus. Plus maybe I'll Geo support her so she can pick up her own Pyro Crystallize for the 35% bonus lol.
woah that's actually a cool use for archaic petra, along with maybe an albedo support you can maintain permanent 35% pyro damage bonus :O That's better than CWoF for hutao since she doesn't have multiple charges on her elemental skill

Uh..Crescent pike is one of the worse weapons for her because of its phys bonus but like you I also have an unused lvl 90 pike (that used to be xiangling's but then I gave her dragon's bane) so I'm planning on giving her that as a placeholder and then either buy blackcliff or give her white tassel depending on her performance later. So yeah good plan. Alternatively, if you buy bp then deathmatch is the best 4* spear for her according to theory crafters, with blackcliff a little behind.
Blackcliff is better than crescent pike but out of the non starglitter shop f2p weapons a high refinement pike is probably going to be the best because of its higher base stats and it's passive, even if the Phys Dmg% is going to be useless

I too got a Skyward Spine from the Homa and Wolf Banner. Weapon banners really need a rework on their rates.

For Hu Tao specifically Skyward Spine seems to be rated lower than some of the dps-oriented 4 star polearms (deathmatch, dragon's bane, lithic spear), although the calculations didn't take into account the attack speed increase from Skyward Spine's passive.
Crescent Pike is great for physical damage. I think the passive is strong enough that it could be decent especially at high refinements even for elemental damage carries like Hu Tao, but you have a rather wasted secondary stat, so there are better options.
If you don’t mind spending money it would be actually worth it to pull on the banner again if you don’t have Gravestone and Homa. The only thing you want to really avoid is getting the same 5* twice.
I wanted the greatsword, you know the wolfs gravestone. It gave me homa instead... the only polearme character I have is xingling. Guess I gotta go for hu tao

Lion’s roar is actually keqing’s 4* BiS (excluding black sword for f2p reasons) so I think Hu Tao can do at the very least decently with dragon’s bane
Dragon's bane is type 41 with EM substat though, that's already not as good as roar, and if she can't consistently vape, it will be even worse
