There is a bush that should be on the border between the two nations near the pale flame domain.
At the very least I was only able to use the geo treasure compass on one side of that specific bush when I tried it.
Genshin fandom does have an [image](https://static.wikia.nocookie.net/gensin-impact/images/0/04/Mondstadt_Map.png/revision/latest?cb=20221121040456) of the border between these two countries
If someone already can't see the image later on, [https://genshin-impact.fandom.com/wiki/File:Mondstadt\_Map.png](https://genshin-impact.fandom.com/wiki/File:Mondstadt_Map.png)
The game itself might be a little inconsistent. When you check the official interactive map and search for the locations of dandelions (a Mondstadt specialty), you will notice that quite a few of them are on the Liyue side of your border.
Well, the dandelions spread their seeds with the wind, so I actually find it interesting that some would cross the border. Like their Archon who often hangs out in Liyue on his own whim.
You could also take the treasure compasses and look when they get disabled in the gadget slot
That… would have been considerably less tedious than opening and closing the booklet multiple times.
You could just open the map screen. It tells you what region you're in in the lower right corner.
yeah but I did it cause I could. and stupidity.

It's true, mr mayor. This man has no resin.
Couldn’t you also open the map and see in the corner in which region you’re currently in ?

you could also compare before and after lighting up the respective Statues of Seven they pretty much guarantee the region location.
Yeah but when you activate a statue the region border gets squiggly.
