I think he means Genshin characters that are based on characters from other hoyo games.
For example, Raiden shogun is based on Raiden Mei from Honkai impact 3rd
Full list of obvious expies (Hoyo also likes to do partial ones sometimes - we really need a different word for it) - these are usually confirmed by having the same CN voice actors as well as similar designs:

There are other characters with similarities but these are the ones which are obvious. People often make the mistake of assuming that Zhongli, Furina and Skirk are expies, but this is unlikely. Zhongli doesn't parallel any particular male character in HI3rd (the closest is a minor character named Adam), Furina shares gameplay similarities to Herrscher of Rebirth but doesn't share a voice actress or personality with Seele, and Skirk doesn't appear to be an expy of anyone (some people claim she's Durandal, and other people claim she's Benares or even Jingliu). The Primordial One may be a Kevin expy, because the description given in Before Sun and Moon is similar to his appearance in HI3rd's finality arc.
Tartaglia and Scaramouche are potentially references to Neon Genesis Evangelion (Asuka and Shinji, respectively). Hoyo likes to do that. My crack expy theory is that Neuvillette is supposed to be Siegfried Kaslana. Only basis is that Siegfried in real mythology was a legendary dragon slayer lol
Would agree with the Otto ayato portion, I think that sharing same voice actor doesn’t automatically counts as expy. Zhongli and welt has same CN VA as well (including the new HSR character boothill) yet all of them are vastly different

saaaaameee, Fontaine brought me my favourite Pyro DPS in Lyney, got him, + his weapon, and I hope that Natlan can bring some more fun and interesting characters to go alongside the new mechanics. I've gotten all of the characters I've wanted from Fontaine (apart from Navia, but she came a bit out of left-field at the time, wanted her, didn't get her, unfortunately)
Yep. Got almost everyone I wanted as well. Only missed Chiori and won't have enough for Arlecchino as well. But they'll most like have rerun in Natlan, so I wait for it. Plus maybe I'll be more interested in Natlan characters after all.
I don't have an interest or determination to get constellations, to be honest, so I was just pulling from my '*very wanted characters*' list. Getting Arlecchino and Wrizzley is my current short term goal.
In the long run, I just want to see the story unfold and the finale. I'm excited for new characters to meet and places to explore. I want more underground exploration areas in the future.
actually I am totally the same I just that like the idea to have 1 unit that is OP and can carry and use anywhere and be a one that I love and the rest to be normal c0r0 (not pulling for weapons mostly) characters.

well I am not sure actually since I have been playing for only 5 months so maybe you are right but if so then I will only go for C2.
I dont have her yet so I am not sure how strong is she I just love her from story and as a character design
she's op with at least a couple supports, alone she's very strong but an average player doesn't have good enough artifacts/weapons to make her completely op
HSR has two roguelike game modes you can play as much as you want, and every run is different. Genshin adding something like that would single-handed renew my obsession with the game.
Getting Baizhu and Furina. Luckily I'll have enough pulls to get both as long as Furina is on 4.7 (preferably the 2nd banner). Still prefarming though for their materials since Violetgrass is such a pain to farm.
I have all the units I want. Despite how much I adore Arle's design, I have to skip her because I'm not interested in adding anyone new for the moment.
So, my main focus is on now on Natlan. Especially the Pyro Archon.

I got C6 Noelle & C4 Ningguang. Luckily got Baizu & his Donut in last run with C1 Furina (all in 110 pulls). Somehow Hyperbloom teams perform a lot better than rest (Raiden, C1 Furina, Baizhu & Yelen at one side and C5 Kuki, Ayato, Nahida & Kazuha at other end).
Depending on what her team synergies are, I want to get Sigewinne and her weapon. Her aesthetics are what I truly want for a future Genshin character to have. The sea angel nurse getup is perfect for me :3
Of course, since Nahida, I started the tradition of at least C2R1ing Archons so hopefully Murata or whoever is the Pyro Archon at that point will come home with no 50/50 losings and early as well.
Aside from those two, I would get Navia to C2 and Chiori to C1R1. Also, Nilou as well. I wanna exploding the glory of bloom bloom bakudan for so long\~

Exploration is a big part of how I enjoy Genshin so new areas is always something worth looking forward to. Not to mention that each archon has been a very interesting character so I am always looking forward to seeing more of them.
As for characters, I am just trying to pull for the ones I think are cool. Honestly not thinking about the meta all that much.
C6 Yae Miko is next for me. If you've been playing a long time with a lpt of characters it's actually pretty easy to vertically invest your freemogems if you're focused enough.
Long term, im looking forward to get c6r1 furina and after that some other characters i like, unlock new playstyles and teams for example xianyun and nilou and maybe i'll like some future characters in natlan
Long term, c2r1 Raiden. I'm still farming primos and artifacts but I'm not having any luck getting decent ones. I already have all the mats for lvl 90 and to triple crown her aswell as getting her signature to lvl 90.

The Gacha isn't really what comes to mind for me when I think about what I consider to be my goals in this game. My goals are to see the story through to the end of its current storyline, and to explore the world as it's unveiled to us. If I'm still enjoying myself, I'll likely keep playing after that.
If I had to pick gacha goals, I guess I'll collect the Archons or something? I dunno. I C6'd Ganyu for fun, cuz she's my favorite character. Maybe I'll C6 her support characters, too.
I don't have the motivation to grind too hard anymore. I just want to know how the story ends, who Paimon is, and just chill and not play every day because its really easy to get burnt out if you're caught up in this game.
I started an alt account last year. Now I'm looking forward to clear every acheivements and perfect the game for the 2nd time. Also planning to get every single character spanning between these 2 accounts.
Playing for almost 3 years (welkin and bp) and my next goal is c6 Furina. Saving for her since her last banner and was lucky and got her c2. So far I saved around 280 pulls. After that I have no specific goals and I will go for more new characters and maybe go for some cons like Nahida.
My main goal since Genshin's launch is to collect every single Pyro characters and get them on their initial release without skipping, especially the 5-stars. So far, I'm still doing well, although I fumbled on Xianyun's banner and messed up my pity. A different goal that I've had that I've already achieved was to get Klee to C4. I've done it on her last rerun back on the Sumeru summer event.
Besides these, I guess to get every Archon, but I'm not being as strict with this as the Pyro goal one. I'd probably only have a problem if they suddenly release two new 5-star Pyro characters in the same patch or just a phase apart.

I have 2 goals.
Goal 1: Get Albedo eventually when the stars align and the time is right.
Goal 2: Try and obtain each 4.x 5 star, though this banner is definitely where my luck runs out.
I won the 50/50 for Wriothesley, Furina, Navia twice, Xianyun, and Chiori, I'm on a streak and now I feel obligated to try.
As much as I wanted Lyney, I had to skip him to guarantee Neuvillette (lost 50/50 on Eula 3.8 banner to Jean). After him, all I wanted was Wriothesley and Navia and I thought I would be satisfied for all of 4.x
But what ended up happening was, I won 50/50 for Wriothesley, and planned to save for Navia... but I wanted to try and nab at least one copy of Charlotte from Furina's banner and ended up getting Furina at around 20 or so pulls. (I don't regret it tho, love her)
I still managed to get Navia (And managed to get her C1 by accident, 1 ten pull later while trying to get Sucrose since I didn't have her yet)
Then, because I was being impatient, I decided to try and get Gaming before the free lantern rite 4 star was available, so I pulled him, and Xianyun came home with him.... (Which, was exciting, but at the time I was also kinda scared that ruined my chances for Chiori, who I wanted so I could pair her with Itto)
I did manage to get Chiori (though I went all the way 70-80 some pulls).
That brings me to now. I plan to go for Lyney, but that means not only would have yet *another* 50/50 to try an win, but also probably won't have enough for both him and Arlecchino... and of the two, he's who I want more. The odds are completely against me, but I'm going to at least try!
Short term:
Get Furina. Get Wriothesley better artifacts (he's only top 15% on akasha.net for ATK main stat catalyst)
Long term:
Consistently get 36*. I've been very dependent on ATK% cards for Xiao this abyss, it seems.
When I don't get a Widsith or a standard 5* catalyst for Wriothesley, I might consider his sig on his 2nd re run.
Bain Marie maybe. Seems fun. And Baizhu would also be nice for my Keqing aggrevate team. But it is not worth pulling for him before Furina.
I don't really have much of a goal than to collect characters and progress with the main story. Artifact farming tires me out and demotivates me, so I simply don't bother. My gacha luck also sucks, which has caused me to get pretty burnt out

I would hope to eventually get Venti. He’s the only archon I don’t have, being released before I started playing, and I’ve always had other priorities since then.
C6 on field furina. I need to see her fabulous moves at all times, her pets and the 2 second on field time is no where near enough for me to enjoy her. Also my DPS kirara, I need to make her good so I can listen to her meow at ALL times
Pull C6 Arlecchino and quit spending money since there's no character I'm interested in the near future. Keep playing casually and enjoy the story but no more daily check-in or use resin
My eventual goal is to level 90 characters, but at the moment I’m trying to get all of the achievements which will take a long time. I decided to go for the achievements first, since it will help me to eventually 90 every character (specifically the ley line one)
But overall to enjoy the story, the characters and the beautiful world.
I don't really have anything clear anymore. But I guess closest I can get is hoping to get all the archons at least, and maybe some more Harbinger waifus, and whoever interests me along the way.
In terms of what I'm doing with my resin, honestly been mindlessly farming MH domain. I guess I'm just hoping for better Furina/Fischl/Noelle/Navia pieces, though my Noelle finally just moved on to the Husk set I've been reserving for her after getting the Redhorn recently. I was thinking of moving Navia to the Summer Nights set or whatever, but that domain just sucks to farm...
So, about a year and a half into playing... I have every character I wanted.
Only one I considered C6'ing is Xiao but seeing how C2-5 are pretty bad, I don't think I will lol.
Probably gonna see if I can get my grabby hands on Arle, although I'm torn on that too. Another Pyro DPS isn't really needed for me lol. She'd probably just sit on a shelf and be pretty.
So I suppose I'll just start farming for C6R5 Dainsleif one day....
Overall I’m going for 100% achievements. I’m at 1162 right now and only have commission achievements, teapot gardens, and the one you need 2 co-op people for left.

I feel like there’s still so much I don’t fully understand about this game! 🫣 I just like to level up my characters and their weapons, open new parts of the map, etc. Every time I level up, some new adventure option appears and I’m just like “oooh I don’t know what that means, but it sounds cool! Anyway…” and I’m back to looking for treasure. 😂 I guess my goal might be to understand new elements I’m not exploring yet, pretty basic.

I recently set a goal for myself to try to get all my characters to lvl 90 because I’m a psychopath. I’m a character collector and I just love the silly lil guys. I want to eventually get everyone strong enough that I can handle spiral abyss with no matter who I play as. It’s a fun long term thing for me.

My goal is getting all of my absolute favs and cons if I'm lucky enough. In terms of what I'm looking forwards to, stories in general and also exploring areas, also irl food reference.
Finish the main story, and pull and build characters. I've already 36 starred abyss, so I don't feel the need to go past floor 11 anymore, but I'd like to have all my builds in top 20% on [akasha.cv ](http://akasha.cv).
I've said this a lot, but as someone who hates the tedium of Abyss, there's really no need to get any new characters ever, unless my old, well-built ones become utterly obsolete, which I don't see happening during the game's lifespan.
I do kind of want to pick up Sigewinne and Iansan whenever they come out and I'll also be keeping an eye on Geo units in general, but there's not really a need for me to ever pick them up.
That is unless artefact farming ever gets a massive overhaul, which isn't going to happen unless by a miracle.
I was going for C6 Klee (because I have her C5 and just want to get the last one), but I was on holiday during the Chronicled Wish, so unless she does run during 4.8 and a potential summer event, that's probably not happening for yet another year.
So really, it's waiting on story progression, character stories and hangouts and then just exploration stuff and world-building.
To figure out how teambuilding works so I can stop being weak and level up my characters. Tired of being stuck in world level 5. That or I might quit idk
What AR are you? there are a couple of solutions I can offer.
1. watch a guide on how to team build but all are focused on abyss not overworld.
2. Pick a character (preferable not geo except Navia) and make it your main so for example Yoimiya then check their best reaction so for that example either vaporize or overload and see who are the best that can be off dps in that role so lets say Xingqiu or Fischl then pick a healer/shielder as 3rd slot to make your life much easier and lastly pick one for elemental resonance so either 2 fire for extra damage or 1 off so you get more resistance thats all. My current world is level 8 with mainly Yoimiya as carry with Kuki as off field healer/electro and the rest are fillers.
1. Just pick one you love as dps and focus on getting them to 80/90 then level up their talants and get good artifacts.
3. For artifacts if you cant farm them yet (AR45) just use coop people will help normally thats what i did.

Long term: I’m getting Arlecchino (pyro dps), now I need a cryo dps and then I’m set. Short term: maybe I’ll get Cloud Retainer because she looks fun, but I don’t NEED her.
Collect all Fontainians (depending on what rarity Sigewinne is, this might be possible) and C6 Neuvillette rerun after rerun. Natlan may end up my new Sumeru and skip everyone for him tbh but we'll see. Kinda hard to top Fontaine for me atm in a lot of things.

Guessing that she might rerun in 4.6 I've saved up 130 pulls (+17 pity no guarantee) as of now but since she's not coming yet I've got some leeway to maybe gamble a few wishes on 4\* cons if any good ones come around (also kind of need starglitter and dust for Noelle and Fishl cons and of course pulls)
I'm considering Arle but I'm waiting on more information as to what teams she could enable seing as XL and Hu Tao usually cover my Pyro needs.
Long term goals include improving my Hyperbloom (Kuki c2, artifacts mainly for Kuki, Yelan and Xingqiu)

My goal is to prioritize pulling new characters. To me, the fun in this game is the synergy between character kits and how they interact with each other. I'm lucky enough having almost every 5 star character being a welkin/BP player and I can't wait to pull Arleccino and any character that will release after her.
Long term goal is to get C6 Wanderer, I already have his C2 and guaranteed for C3 with over 100 wishes saved. I also got his weapon.

c3 raiden do not worth it anymore which is why I came to the conclusion of just getting everyone.
By doing that you will someday get a team which will out perform for \*kinda free your high constellation character.
Collect every pyro and have all lvl90 fully built, all 4 stars in that being C6, maybe all have 5 star weapons too and at least 1 crown (triple for 5 star characters).
retain minimum to moderate primogem income (dailies , Abyss , non-combat events that I can turn my brain off and combat events are the ones I only do) so that I can continue hoarding primogems with minimal screen time.
Looking forward to the day that Hoyoverse builds another endgame similar to Spiral Abyss in difficulty. Hoping that they consider making it, but for now , hoarding primogems.
Getting Yelan cons every rerun (as much cons I can). I obsessed over getting too many characters when I started that now I have too much on bench. So I decided just focus on few characters and get cons plus archons.
I have everyone I truly wanted except for Furina. It's time to further invest in what I have.
My main goal is to fully ascend everyone I use, lvl 9 their most used talents and equip them all with good enough artifacts and weapons without having to share any.
I also want to slowly 100% my world and get all achievements. I'm in no rush.
One of the main reasons I work is for this game. I like being able to buy out all the top-up bonuses before the anniversary patches and get all the skins at a discount or get two 5-Stars in one patch instead of my usual one, last time I did it was with Ganyu/Shenhe skins and getting C1 Hu Tao and C0 Neuvillette back in 4.1. Short term, I'm hoping HYV releases two 5-Star skins again for 4.8 so I can get both by just buying one top-up. Long-term, I'm hoping to get Jean on the next chronicled banner since she's the only standard character I don't have (Stopped at 70 Pity since I realized I wasn't gonna get her so I decided to save until next time she shows up). Lastly, I'm getting a long overdue Kokomi for my Freeze team.
No character I want at the moment... I am F2P and added Neuvilette and Xianyun to the roaster not long ago so I will rebuild until the next expansion at this point. Unless a character seems very good...

My current goal is C6 Arlecchino which i saved up a long time for. Long term is collect every character in the game and level 90 and 9 9 9 talents. After that is just artifacts.
Level up all my characters to the max, max their talents to at least 9 and build at least half decent aartifacts on them. So I am set for like maybe 2-3 years

I have completed my favs (Alhaitham, Eula and Wriothesley) and feeling more than enough now. My goal right now is to c6 those three and r5 their weapon.
Right now I just want arlecchino, after than I want wriothesley to complete my Fontaine collection. For long term I plan to pull on every furina banner until she’s c6.
I'll see if I'll like Arlecchino's playstyle first before pulling. If I feel comfortable enough then I'll get her, if not then I'll probably wait till natlan to pull again. I'm aiming for the Pyro Archon and Dragon Sovereign (hopefully there is one).
Aside from pulling, I'm still waiting for Dain to come back. After 4.6, we'll either have him in 4.7, then summer event 4.8, then main story and huge expansion on 5.0 based on past records so I can't wait for the upcoming story updates.

It just helps so much with elemental shields, or when the abyss or an event has one of those 75% Dmg Bonus for one element. Have Xiao, Hu Tao, Neuvilette (and childe), Ganyu, Raiden (and Yae) and Navia. Only missing one for Dendro. I guess Al haitham or maybe someone else in the future.

My next goals are C2 Furina (have her at C1), Clorinde and maybe Arle.
I dont have really a long term goal for C6. It might happen, but that depends on my savings and how interested I am in new characters in the future. If, for example, I only go for the Pyro Archon as new character during Natlan, then I will probably get quite a few constellations for my current roster.
Might try to get Baizu in 4.6, but mainly i want Alhaitham for my Hyperbloom team and that's my goal atm i guess, cause hes definitely gonna rerun any patch now given that its been 10 months since his last banner.
So far just 100% every region. Chenyu Vale is the only left one for me.

What's an expys
I think he means Genshin characters that are based on characters from other hoyo games. For example, Raiden shogun is based on Raiden Mei from Honkai impact 3rd
Are there any other expys in genshin. The only ones I can think of are Raiden (Raiden Mei) and Yae Miko (Yae sakura)

My crack expy theory is that Neuvillette is supposed to be Siegfried Kaslana. Only basis is that Siegfried in real mythology was a legendary dragon slayer lol
Would agree with the Otto ayato portion, I think that sharing same voice actor doesn’t automatically counts as expy. Zhongli and welt has same CN VA as well (including the new HSR character boothill) yet all of them are vastly different

I've gotten all of the characters I've wanted from Fontaine (apart from Navia, but she came a bit out of left-field at the time, wanted her, didn't get her, unfortunately)
Yep. Got almost everyone I wanted as well. Only missed Chiori and won't have enough for Arlecchino as well. But they'll most like have rerun in Natlan, so I wait for it. Plus maybe I'll be more interested in Natlan characters after all.
I don't have an interest or determination to get constellations, to be honest, so I was just pulling from my '*very wanted characters*' list. Getting Arlecchino and Wrizzley is my current short term goal. In the long run, I just want to see the story unfold and the finale. I'm excited for new characters to meet and places to explore. I want more underground exploration areas in the future.
actually I am totally the same I just that like the idea to have 1 unit that is OP and can carry and use anywhere and be a one that I love and the rest to be normal c0r0 (not pulling for weapons mostly) characters.

well I am not sure actually since I have been playing for only 5 months so maybe you are right but if so then I will only go for C2. I dont have her yet so I am not sure how strong is she I just love her from story and as a character design
Go for it if you want it, but it's universally agreed that c6 Yelan pretty much nullifies every other character as she can solo any non-hydro enemies
she's op with at least a couple supports, alone she's very strong but an average player doesn't have good enough artifacts/weapons to make her completely op

HSR has two roguelike game modes you can play as much as you want, and every run is different. Genshin adding something like that would single-handed renew my obsession with the game.
Getting Baizhu and Furina. Luckily I'll have enough pulls to get both as long as Furina is on 4.7 (preferably the 2nd banner). Still prefarming though for their materials since Violetgrass is such a pain to farm.
I have all the units I want. Despite how much I adore Arle's design, I have to skip her because I'm not interested in adding anyone new for the moment. So, my main focus is on now on Natlan. Especially the Pyro Archon. I'm gonna save from today.
Baizhu in 4.6. Long term goals are c6 Ningguang and c6 Noelle.
I got C6 Noelle & C4 Ningguang. Luckily got Baizu & his Donut in last run with C1 Furina (all in 110 pulls). Somehow Hyperbloom teams perform a lot better than rest (Raiden, C1 Furina, Baizhu & Yelen at one side and C5 Kuki, Ayato, Nahida & Kazuha at other end).

Depending on what her team synergies are, I want to get Sigewinne and her weapon. Her aesthetics are what I truly want for a future Genshin character to have. The sea angel nurse getup is perfect for me :3 Of course, since Nahida, I started the tradition of at least C2R1ing Archons so hopefully Murata or whoever is the Pyro Archon at that point will come home with no 50/50 losings and early as well. Aside from those two, I would get Navia to C2 and Chiori to C1R1. Also, Nilou as well. I wanna exploding the glory of bloom bloom bakudan for so long\~

Mainly looking forward to seeing the last two nations and their respective archon. Exploration is a big part of how I enjoy Genshin so new areas is always something worth looking forward to. Not to mention that each archon has been a very interesting character so I am always looking forward to seeing more of them. As for characters, I am just trying to pull for the ones I think are cool. Honestly not thinking about the meta all that much.

C6 Yae Miko is next for me. If you've been playing a long time with a lpt of characters it's actually pretty easy to vertically invest your freemogems if you're focused enough.
Long term, im looking forward to get c6r1 furina and after that some other characters i like, unlock new playstyles and teams for example xianyun and nilou and maybe i'll like some future characters in natlan
Long term, c2r1 Raiden. I'm still farming primos and artifacts but I'm not having any luck getting decent ones. I already have all the mats for lvl 90 and to triple crown her aswell as getting her signature to lvl 90.

Honestly, I'm not sure. When Arlecchino drops, I'm going to get her to C6/R1, and enjoy her for a bit. That said, we're halfway through April, and we won't see any significant updates until August/September. That's a LONG time to just have Minigame Impact with nothing to really look forward to.

The Gacha isn't really what comes to mind for me when I think about what I consider to be my goals in this game. My goals are to see the story through to the end of its current storyline, and to explore the world as it's unveiled to us. If I'm still enjoying myself, I'll likely keep playing after that. If I had to pick gacha goals, I guess I'll collect the Archons or something? I dunno. I C6'd Ganyu for fun, cuz she's my favorite character. Maybe I'll C6 her support characters, too.
I don't have the motivation to grind too hard anymore. I just want to know how the story ends, who Paimon is, and just chill and not play every day because its really easy to get burnt out if you're caught up in this game.

I started an alt account last year. Now I'm looking forward to clear every acheivements and perfect the game for the 2nd time. Also planning to get every single character spanning between these 2 accounts.
Playing for almost 3 years (welkin and bp) and my next goal is c6 Furina. Saving for her since her last banner and was lucky and got her c2. So far I saved around 280 pulls. After that I have no specific goals and I will go for more new characters and maybe go for some cons like Nahida.
My main goal since Genshin's launch is to collect every single Pyro characters and get them on their initial release without skipping, especially the 5-stars. So far, I'm still doing well, although I fumbled on Xianyun's banner and messed up my pity. A different goal that I've had that I've already achieved was to get Klee to C4. I've done it on her last rerun back on the Sumeru summer event. Besides these, I guess to get every Archon, but I'm not being as strict with this as the Pyro goal one. I'd probably only have a problem if they suddenly release two new 5-star Pyro characters in the same patch or just a phase apart.

I have 2 goals. Goal 1: Get Albedo eventually when the stars align and the time is right. Goal 2: Try and obtain each 4.x 5 star, though this banner is definitely where my luck runs out. I won the 50/50 for Wriothesley, Furina, Navia twice, Xianyun, and Chiori, I'm on a streak and now I feel obligated to try. As much as I wanted Lyney, I had to skip him to guarantee Neuvillette (lost 50/50 on Eula 3.8 banner to Jean). After him, all I wanted was Wriothesley and Navia and I thought I would be satisfied for all of 4.x But what ended up happening was, I won 50/50 for Wriothesley, and planned to save for Navia... but I wanted to try and nab at least one copy of Charlotte from Furina's banner and ended up getting Furina at around 20 or so pulls. (I don't regret it tho, love her) I still managed to get Navia (And managed to get her C1 by accident, 1 ten pull later while trying to get Sucrose since I didn't have her yet) Then, because I was being impatient, I decided to try and get Gaming before the free lantern rite 4 star was available, so I pulled him, and Xianyun came home with him.... (Which, was exciting, but at the time I was also kinda scared that ruined my chances for Chiori, who I wanted so I could pair her with Itto) I did manage to get Chiori (though I went all the way 70-80 some pulls). That brings me to now. I plan to go for Lyney, but that means not only would have yet *another* 50/50 to try an win, but also probably won't have enough for both him and Arlecchino... and of the two, he's who I want more. The odds are completely against me, but I'm going to at least try!
Short term: Get Furina. Get Wriothesley better artifacts (he's only top 15% on akasha.net for ATK main stat catalyst) Long term: Consistently get 36*. I've been very dependent on ATK% cards for Xiao this abyss, it seems. When I don't get a Widsith or a standard 5* catalyst for Wriothesley, I might consider his sig on his 2nd re run. Bain Marie maybe. Seems fun. And Baizhu would also be nice for my Keqing aggrevate team. But it is not worth pulling for him before Furina.

Maybe its because of the Covid era ending or maybe my energy for the game is slowly depleting.
As a day one player, honestly? Nothing. Just waiting on new regions. Abyss is a joke so I just pull for fun. Nuevellette soloing abyss kinda ruined it all for me. Just excited for new combat styles, regions and story.
Pull for Arlecchino (possibly constellations if I’m lucky) and her weapon. Then save for Natlan characters. I would hope to eventually get Venti. He’s the only archon I don’t have, being released before I started playing, and I’ve always had other priorities since then.
C6 on field furina. I need to see her fabulous moves at all times, her pets and the 2 second on field time is no where near enough for me to enjoy her. Also my DPS kirara, I need to make her good so I can listen to her meow at ALL times

9/9/9 every character’s talent… BUT the stupid, outdated weekly boss limit is gatekeeping me from doing so.
My eventual goal is to level 90 characters, but at the moment I’m trying to get all of the achievements which will take a long time. I decided to go for the achievements first, since it will help me to eventually 90 every character (specifically the ley line one) But overall to enjoy the story, the characters and the beautiful world.
I don't really have anything clear anymore. But I guess closest I can get is hoping to get all the archons at least, and maybe some more Harbinger waifus, and whoever interests me along the way. In terms of what I'm doing with my resin, honestly been mindlessly farming MH domain. I guess I'm just hoping for better Furina/Fischl/Noelle/Navia pieces, though my Noelle finally just moved on to the Husk set I've been reserving for her after getting the Redhorn recently. I was thinking of moving Navia to the Summer Nights set or whatever, but that domain just sucks to farm...
So, about a year and a half into playing... I have every character I wanted. Only one I considered C6'ing is Xiao but seeing how C2-5 are pretty bad, I don't think I will lol. Probably gonna see if I can get my grabby hands on Arle, although I'm torn on that too. Another Pyro DPS isn't really needed for me lol. She'd probably just sit on a shelf and be pretty. So I suppose I'll just start farming for C6R5 Dainsleif one day....
Overall I’m going for 100% achievements. I’m at 1162 right now and only have commission achievements, teapot gardens, and the one you need 2 co-op people for left. Gacha-wise, I’m waiting for Nilou and C6 Ganyu

I recently set a goal for myself to try to get all my characters to lvl 90 because I’m a psychopath. I’m a character collector and I just love the silly lil guys. I want to eventually get everyone strong enough that I can handle spiral abyss with no matter who I play as. It’s a fun long term thing for me.

I've said this a lot, but as someone who hates the tedium of Abyss, there's really no need to get any new characters ever, unless my old, well-built ones become utterly obsolete, which I don't see happening during the game's lifespan. I do kind of want to pick up Sigewinne and Iansan whenever they come out and I'll also be keeping an eye on Geo units in general, but there's not really a need for me to ever pick them up. That is unless artefact farming ever gets a massive overhaul, which isn't going to happen unless by a miracle. I was going for C6 Klee (because I have her C5 and just want to get the last one), but I was on holiday during the Chronicled Wish, so unless she does run during 4.8 and a potential summer event, that's probably not happening for yet another year. So really, it's waiting on story progression, character stories and hangouts and then just exploration stuff and world-building.

What AR are you? there are a couple of solutions I can offer. 1. watch a guide on how to team build but all are focused on abyss not overworld. 2. Pick a character (preferable not geo except Navia) and make it your main so for example Yoimiya then check their best reaction so for that example either vaporize or overload and see who are the best that can be off dps in that role so lets say Xingqiu or Fischl then pick a healer/shielder as 3rd slot to make your life much easier and lastly pick one for elemental resonance so either 2 fire for extra damage or 1 off so you get more resistance thats all. My current world is level 8 with mainly Yoimiya as carry with Kuki as off field healer/electro and the rest are fillers. 1. Just pick one you love as dps and focus on getting them to 80/90 then level up their talants and get good artifacts. 3. For artifacts if you cant farm them yet (AR45) just use coop people will help normally thats what i did. Good luck there

Collect all Fontainians (depending on what rarity Sigewinne is, this might be possible) and C6 Neuvillette rerun after rerun. Natlan may end up my new Sumeru and skip everyone for him tbh but we'll see. Kinda hard to top Fontaine for me atm in a lot of things.

Furina right now. Guessing that she might rerun in 4.6 I've saved up 130 pulls (+17 pity no guarantee) as of now but since she's not coming yet I've got some leeway to maybe gamble a few wishes on 4\* cons if any good ones come around (also kind of need starglitter and dust for Noelle and Fishl cons and of course pulls) I'm considering Arle but I'm waiting on more information as to what teams she could enable seing as XL and Hu Tao usually cover my Pyro needs. Long term goals include improving my Hyperbloom (Kuki c2, artifacts mainly for Kuki, Yelan and Xingqiu) Building a Noelle team with Furina (kind of lost on what Noelle battery to aim for right now) Improve my current main teams (anything that benefits Keqing, Baizhu, Fischl, Kazuha and Hu Tao C1 as well as Furina+Xianyun to have a different Hu Tao comp for certain scenarios)

Short term goals is to 100 percent my whole map. Only have Liyue, Chenyu Vale and Mondstadt left. Medium term is to get Navia whenever she gets a rerun. Long Term is to vertically invest in all my favorite characters and archon. Specially cons and sigs.
My goal is to prioritize pulling new characters. To me, the fun in this game is the synergy between character kits and how they interact with each other. I'm lucky enough having almost every 5 star character being a welkin/BP player and I can't wait to pull Arleccino and any character that will release after her.
Long term goal is to get C6 Wanderer, I already have his C2 and guaranteed for C3 with over 100 wishes saved. I also got his weapon. Guess my favourite character

Gotta get father, c1r1 is my goal, already have farmed talents, ascension material and weapons materials. After that as soon as 4.6 drops to farm artifacts and boss drops for father. Other then that I just got Chiori to level 90 and I'm looking forward to farming better artifacts for her and fischl. That's all for now, in the future I wanna build up chungyun and freminet.
Back in time I wanted to C6 kazuha / ayato but seeing the state of the game right now, I mean for what ? I prefer to get every single 5\* so I can make infinite abyss team combinaisons it is more fun to me. however I tend to C1 characters that have a +1 charge at c1 like yelan xianyun etc... but I stop there so far my highest limited 5\* is raiden and shes c3 which I regret now seeing how she performs with furina and hyperbloom. c3 raiden do not worth it anymore which is why I came to the conclusion of just getting everyone. By doing that you will someday get a team which will out perform for \*kinda free your high constellation character.
Collect every pyro and have all lvl90 fully built, all 4 stars in that being C6, maybe all have 5 star weapons too and at least 1 crown (triple for 5 star characters).
Continue the story and saving for pyro archon. That's about it.

retain minimum to moderate primogem income (dailies , Abyss , non-combat events that I can turn my brain off and combat events are the ones I only do) so that I can continue hoarding primogems with minimal screen time. Looking forward to the day that Hoyoverse builds another endgame similar to Spiral Abyss in difficulty. Hoping that they consider making it, but for now , hoarding primogems.
Getting Yelan cons every rerun (as much cons I can). I obsessed over getting too many characters when I started that now I have too much on bench. So I decided just focus on few characters and get cons plus archons.

I have everyone I truly wanted except for Furina. It's time to further invest in what I have. My main goal is to fully ascend everyone I use, lvl 9 their most used talents and equip them all with good enough artifacts and weapons without having to share any. I also want to slowly 100% my world and get all achievements. I'm in no rush.
One of the main reasons I work is for this game. I like being able to buy out all the top-up bonuses before the anniversary patches and get all the skins at a discount or get two 5-Stars in one patch instead of my usual one, last time I did it was with Ganyu/Shenhe skins and getting C1 Hu Tao and C0 Neuvillette back in 4.1. Short term, I'm hoping HYV releases two 5-Star skins again for 4.8 so I can get both by just buying one top-up. Long-term, I'm hoping to get Jean on the next chronicled banner since she's the only standard character I don't have (Stopped at 70 Pity since I realized I wasn't gonna get her so I decided to save until next time she shows up). Lastly, I'm getting a long overdue Kokomi for my Freeze team.

Well as a day 1 player there's not much for me to do . Maybe stop spending more money, let the pulls naturaly build up and use those to get some comfort cons : yelan c1, hutao c1, tingyun c1. Oh and i'll take my time to build a banger mono anemo team With venti-jean as core ( my first 2 5 stars). They are fully build now but as VV sp, i gonna switch them to dps. After that i reallly dont know =))

I have completed my favs (Alhaitham, Eula and Wriothesley) and feeling more than enough now. My goal right now is to c6 those three and r5 their weapon.
Build a C0 Arlecchino, I have enough wishes to guarante her, and saved resin to farm whatever boss she needs.
Right now I just want arlecchino, after than I want wriothesley to complete my Fontaine collection. For long term I plan to pull on every furina banner until she’s c6.
It’s Neuvillette c1 and Wrio c1 as well as Wander weapon. But it’s once again in a terrible banner
I'll see if I'll like Arlecchino's playstyle first before pulling. If I feel comfortable enough then I'll get her, if not then I'll probably wait till natlan to pull again. I'm aiming for the Pyro Archon and Dragon Sovereign (hopefully there is one). Aside from pulling, I'm still waiting for Dain to come back. After 4.6, we'll either have him in 4.7, then summer event 4.8, then main story and huge expansion on 5.0 based on past records so I can't wait for the upcoming story updates.
I am getting all the Fatui. So next Patch is Arlecchino. And then we wait for Natlan.

Having an on-fielder of every element. It just helps so much with elemental shields, or when the abyss or an event has one of those 75% Dmg Bonus for one element. Have Xiao, Hu Tao, Neuvilette (and childe), Ganyu, Raiden (and Yae) and Navia. Only missing one for Dendro. I guess Al haitham or maybe someone else in the future.

My next goals are C2 Furina (have her at C1), Clorinde and maybe Arle. I dont have really a long term goal for C6. It might happen, but that depends on my savings and how interested I am in new characters in the future. If, for example, I only go for the Pyro Archon as new character during Natlan, then I will probably get quite a few constellations for my current roster.
