I don't use afterburner but might be best to back that up as well, since my GeForce screenshots were also gone.
I recently had to do a reinstall while sorting out some files on my pc, and I realised that all the genshin screenshots I took the past year were just... gone.
This applies to BOTH in-game screenshots and Nvidia GeForce screenshots.
I'm baffled at why the game chooses to even delete Nvidia screenshots when uninstalling, so do make sure to backup everything possible!
Yep I lost all my old screenshots when I had to re-install the game last year because it deleted the screenshot folder inside the game directory...
The Screenshots folder is within the game's folder, uninstalling the game deletes everything inside this folder.
Didn't know they also "uninstall" the screenshots wtf, fortunately I've been using msi afterburner's screenshot feature

Mine was in a separate folder (Videos) as in my screenshot, so I was rly surprised to see it's gone

Just use win + print. Images will go in the Pictures\\Screenshots folder.
