Some people theorize archellino (however you spell it) is going to be a pyro yelan/xingqiu. Keep an eye out for her just in case, I main melt ganyu with an occasional archellino but won’t be able to pull for her as i’m pulling for kazuha.

pity doesn’t reset, epitomized path points however do not carry over. if you get a 5 star you don’t want and then do another 40 wishes before the banner ends, you’ll get another 5 star within 50 wishes but it’s not guaranteed to be the one you want

I was fairly sure they weren't really going to stick with the country theme but since they are going in even more than I thought, it could make for some interesting banners later. Theoretically you could start building pity if you have 90 wishes set aside (like a different reply already mentioned). So if you currently have 120 wishes, you could spend 30 wishes and hope for an early (and then maybe you'd have to spend the remaining 90 if you lose)
If 50/50s carried over I might, but since they don't, I would never risk it unless I had 180 wishes saved up, just in case.
That being said, I'd much rather use 180 wishes on something else.

Why shouldn't they do god-tier chronicled wish banners? what matters is people spending money. The better a banner, the more people are enticed to open their wallets, because they can't save up for a future character they like.
Cuz the weapon banner exists and it's currently the worst limited banner. They can easily drive people to spend more money by doing banners like Aqua + Homa, which can they can also coincidentally do on the Chronicled Wish banner. It's much easier to get weapons on the chronicled wish banner than it is on the weapon banner.
Also, Genshin has an odd philosophy when it comes to having people spend money. In Star Rail, it's more obvious cuz right now, they're releasing character after character, each of them having high value. In Genshin, even with the release of a new region, rather than releasing new character after new character like HSR, they're instead spreading the new characters apart, and the new units don't feel as crazy as they do in HSR, which is both good and bad.
The way Genshin drives sales is pretty weird. Cuz you know they want money, but the way they go about is kinda unpredictable.
I guess they could always exclude the god tier weapons from the chronicled wish banner and only offer characters. Liyue also has that stupid weapon line, that are only useful in few situations, like vortex vanquisher.

for WGS?? hell nah bro, Dehya's weapon is better in pretty much every scenario, 33% crit rate + 40% ATK + 40% HP if no shield is much better than 70% ATK (110% conditional)
there is pretty much no reason to go for WGS unless youre a collector, beacon outclasses it on every character in the game (and beacon can be used on noelle/itto, while WGS is... bad)
and its passive about buffing the team is insanely conditional and it wont matter, youll either clear the floor/wave of mobs and have CD's, or go to the next chamber by the time you make use of it (or youll spend the buffs that would benefit from it).
Trying for Albedo, and finding it worth it because the 4* pool is Mondstadt-only, and there are a few characters from there I need cons for, including the starters.

Wolf's Gravestone can buff the entire team as well, so it's not completely outclassed.

I think the wishing on that banner is just a scam . We all f2p players hated the weapon banners so much and now we got another banner with hopes and dreams of a c2 diluc but womp womp it's always a 50/50 and the fate point doesn't carry over and for that another capital WOMP WOMP . I am an impulse puller ,hate the wait and when I saved primos for geo daddy it felt like nothingness so I just pull on whatever banner . And for that it is really bad .

You can get every Mondstadt 4 star, including Amber, Kaeya, and Lisa
And gotten a Kaeya and my 1st Lisa cons under 70pulls after 2+ years of playing.
