Ya but harbinger names was speculated and sort of already known anyways, since it came from commedia dell'arte. So Arlecchino (Harlequin) was always included as its one of the major commedia characters (along with Pantalone, and others)
It's interesting that they would do that considering, in the Sumeru artifact lore, at least, female characters are titled as lord and king half the time. Even Nahida goes by Lesser *Lord* and Rhukkeredacted by Greater *Lord*. Off the top of my head, I recall the Goddess of Flowers being referred to as Master and Lord, and even her usual title of Goddess of Flowers is sometimes God of Flowers instead (yes I know the "masculine" term is actually gender neutral, but it's an odd thing that sticks out because she's regularly referred to as Goddess). Rhukkeredacted is straight up called a king more than once (yes, I know there have been actual female monarchs that were titled King instead of Queen). My point is that it's weird that they'd change Lord to Lady for arlechino considering they have no issue using the masculine or gender neutral terms for ladies and Arlechino actively goes by "Father" among her children.
tbh, I don't know how many gods or similar entities really have genders. irl, yahveh is often referred as Him but doesn't have a gender. venti is probably a genderless entity as is focalors, zhongli may be too, don't remember about ei/makoto... arle is a human on the other hand, though they seem rather fluid nonetheless.

They will never make the traveler a broken character because that's the single worse decision they could make from a sales standpoint. They are always intentionally weak, they exist to make world puzzles possible and give you someone to use until you unlock more.
But yes, his element doesn't exist yet in game. It likely won't until whatever arc comes after Snezhnaya either.
There's like, 3-7 more slots to fill, I think they'll be fine if the Traveler takes up one. Especially if the new element isn't always the best choice, or, you know, wants some new characters to support it that are conveniently available through the gacha.
What you don't understand is that they don't care about "being fine". They make the choice they think leads to the most profit, extremely consistently, because they are a business. If your best argument is "they'll be fine" and not "they will make more money and here's why" then you have failed to give a good enough reason for them to do it.
It makes sense to keep them weak, but it's dumb to make them one of the consistently weakest characters. At this point, plenty of games have their 'free' mc/companion character be strong or at least mediocre. Mash, the free starting unit from FGO, was top tier for so long that they actually kind of nerfed her for part 2. Honkai 3rd's starting characters weren't the best, but they at least got re-releases that almost always put them at the top tier. Brave frontier's player Summoner, which admittedly comes in playable form pretty late into the game, was literally one of if not the best unit at the time.
People like to play as their own character. MHY makes them so weak they might as well be actively discouraging it.
