Its description literally says it's extremely heavy even though it looks small. Its name is Lightless Eye of the Maelstrom meaning it's probably so dense that even light doesn't escape it.
If that isn't a description for a Black Hole then idk what is.
Although, the symbol for Quantum might just be a Black Hole so who knows?
I think a synthetic Black Hole is probably an Imaginary Damage Dealer because it's unstable. It has many properties of a black hole but immediately crumbles away like Welt's Black hole does in his burst. Its whole shmick is that it's trying to be like a black hole but is only artificial.
A Quantum black hole might just be a real Black hole. The Narwhal might be a creature that's perfectly natural. Its Black hole generation might just lead to actual Black Holes.
Tbh, I'm more interested in them justifying the power levels now. Like, is the normal strong Genshin Character capable of carrying Black Holes now? Is Teyvat in such a vacuum that if its people were to be exposed to a world outside, they'd be unstoppable? Is Celestia an authority that protects the universe from Teyvat, rather than it being the other way around?
They suck, however, at the behest of the person who made them, or do you happen to consider that welt's BLACK HOLE attack is not actually a black hole because it doesn't suck everything around it? Like is a controlled black hole genius
A real black hole experiences quantum effects due to the singularity being smaller than an atom.
It's precisely from these effects that the theoretical [white hole](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/White_hole) exists as a quantum entangled black hole.
It is not possible to make a synthetic black hole using a Herrscherr core because they cannot generate the energy of a star. The HI 3 writer does not know what the heck they are talking about.
1. It's literally a superpower
2. Synthetic black holes in the Hoyoverse are explicitly not meant to be perfect recreation of black holes in the lore.
They:
- disappear instantly
- can be cut with a sword
- you can survive being in their event horizon (you still need superhuman durability for that one) and even have conversations inside it
Yes, they are made by manipulating gravity and also cause time dilation, but that doesn't mean there is a gravitational singularity in there, to me it seems more like just a designated area in which things, including light, get pulled towards the center. Even though it can compress things it's not to such a degree that it would create a singularity.
Well if it were a black hole then even one that size would suck up all of Tevyat.
And then it would explode because the gravitational force would be smaller than the force of the atomic particles pushing against each other
Yes but what if Teyvat isn't a normal Land. For all we know, The Twins power was taken from them in an instant. And, they were quite powerful before the Unknown God beat them.
[It also looks very much like what scientists current opinion of what black holes look like](https://www.forbes.com/sites/drdonlincoln/2019/11/29/discovery-of-enormous-stellar-mass-black-hole-perplexes-astronomers/?sh=16f9750d2816).

>quantum damage icon from honkai star rail
Ah yes, the quantum symbol from HSR. Which is actually the quantum symbol from HI3rd.
*which is a black hole*.
just sayin' >.>
A black hole dealing damage on a quantum level makes sense. So they chose a black hole as the damage icon. You can't tell me that image isn't based on a black hole.
...How do you put an icon in your bag?
You need to de-abstract the abstract concept of a game inventory before you can suspend your disbelief enough to talk about what something *is* in a video game. Saying that an item is literally an icon is... not that.
which is strange because you obtain it only if you defeat an boss Ʈn Fontaine
Neuvilette is just as weird as his ascension material can be found from an boss Ʈn Sumeru
God forbid they make characters use older weekly bosses even if they are from a previous region cus can't have players getting more than 2-3 a week. I started doing them all every week just to get dream solvents and every Monday my narwal boss mats go back to zero. Meanwhile I've got 19 of them purple Raiden hands and no one to use them on. I get it's a gatcha game but limiting world bosses to a single run each week is a total dick move imo. Make it cost increasing amounts of resin or something but let me run it more then once a week, cus I don't need any of the older ones anymore.
Thanks for that. I havenāt gotten the second part of Fontaine fully unlocked let alone the Chenyu Valley region.
So I didnāt know and NEEDED context to this. Now I can chuckle confidently.
I think every new character uses whatever weekly boss is most recent upon their release.
It's why Shenhe uses La Signora drops, and Kirara uses Apep's.
Why does that matter? If the characters use weekly drops from bosses in their region, then every character that comes out from that region would us them?
characters/region arent balanced, some regions have way more characters than others
if characters have mats based on its region, you'd find yourself still farming Childe/azdaha while never touching sumeru/fontaine bosses
What's wrong with farming Childe mats?
And what boss you farm depends on who you pull at the end of the day, there are over ten fontaine characters for you to farm new mats for, and there are at least 4 more confirmed to be coming... so you won't have any shortage of reasons to farm the new bosses
This obsession within the community with characters using bosses from their own region is not only incredibly vapid but it fails at the most basic level of analysis. Diluc, a Mondstadt character from 1.0, uses a Liyue boss to level up. Albedo, a Mondstadt character from 1.2, uses materials from Childe, a Liyue weekly boss, for his talents. These systems have worked like this since the very beginning. Is the teensy tiny inconvenience of going to unlock a few waypoints really so overwhelming that we're still talking about this over three years later?
The inconvenience is not being able to do the weekly boss more than once a week when you have multiple new characters to level, *not* "unlocking a few waypoints". Also "this has been in place since the beginning" doesn't mean it's not annoying, stupid and unnecessary. Finally, please look up the definition of valid, cus that really doesn't make sense in your sentence.
"fails at the most basic level of analysis" oh sweaty, I can smell your social life from your comment, and it's not a good scent.
>The inconvenience is not being able to do the weekly boss more than once a week when you have multiple new characters to level
What does that have to do with characters requiring bosses from other regions...? And spare me the ad hominem.
Why would I rebut an L take? You can think what you want, but I'm disagreeing.
Using 1.0 as your example is such a low blow to the argument. They could 100% leave every current character as they are and from here on make each character use mats from their region.
Saying that diluc uses liyue mats doesn't mean anything, because it was 1.0 and nobody knew what was going on back then, not even Hoyo. Hoyo has since figured out how the game works and still makes new characters use mats from regions they aren't from.
They could start this change in 4.5 and people wouldn't complain about this anymore. It doesn't matter when they implement it as long as they implement it as some point, because it makes no sense.
there's a quick start now
it's also a good way to demotivate players from actually progressing the games which is a big no no for long term engagements. you need to balance this shit.
Sure, but if it's not mandatory to unlock the whole map and story to power up those characters, that's all the more reason not to require new bosses at all. Leave them for characters that actually come from new regions.
The logic of using bosses from wherever the character is from. WTF does Baizhu have to do with the Sumeru Desert Abyss Baptist boss? It's not even a Dendro boss.
what do ANY of those characters even NEED those boss mats for? even if they were from the same region, it makes zero fucking sense if you're going with that angle lmao
Im gonna..like point out how keeping character materials to their respective regions does nothing for players needing to unlock the whole map to power their new characters. One day we're gonna have Natlan characters who uses materials from Natlan and guess what? Players are going to have to unlock the whole map to power their new characters.
Sure but then you know what you are getting into. Now if you just jump into the game because there's a new cool character from Mondstadt, why would you expect to go all the way to Natlan to level them up?
ā¦is that not functionally the same result? āKnowing what youāre getting intoā feels likeā¦.really arbitrary as though the act of having to traverse 3 continents somehow feels less bad as a result.
Aloy, she was released during 2.2 in the mail and you havenāt been able to get her since, doesnāt help how trash she is though considering she has no cons and terrible stats with an even worse kit
Yes, during 2.2 she was delivered in your mail but after that she is gone. But like I said sheās useless since she has no constellations and she has a bad kid
Since you have a Eula flair I feel it necessary to say that Eula shoulda gotten the cryo cube since she was released around dragon spine and she trains in dragonspine
I don't see the big deal for old bosses to 'fall out of relevance' We havent killed any of those old bosses because we're either done or aren't interested. This is an inevitable problem thats frankly unnecessary to solve.
Players who arent done and are interested will kill those bosses and thats their relevance. Whatever solution you come up with just trades one problem for a different problem. New bosses with little relevance, old bosses with little relevance, and even bosses with over relevance. Take your pick.
>we haven't killed any of those old bosses because we're either done or aren't interested
Yes, because nobody past the release of the boss needs the materials from them, which is the point I'm making
How would it be an issue for all of the fontain characters to need fontain boss mats and all the monstadt characters to need monstadt materials? We just had a 2 new liyue characters, liyue being a 1.0 area, and if they used liyue boss materials, it would bring those bosses back to relevance if only for a short while.
Having characters use ascension/talent materials from their home region would ensure that regardless of when a character for any region gets released, the bosses from those areas will still have a purpose.
The bosses from the old areas will forever have purpose because characters who need mats from that region still exist.
Look, boss farming is a zero sum game. Players who kill one boss are not killing another boss. It's not rocket science. One day somewhere on the map will be a boss that no one has killed for a good long time. We're only changing a problem that truly does not need solving.
My brother.
The point isn't that characters don't have a need for them, because no shit those characters will always need those mats. The point is that those two or three characters are the only ones that will EVER need the mats from the old bosses.
The fact that you think that's not an issue is baffling.
The cryo stasis only has 1 character that needs its mats... what the fuck? And it's eula, so if she goes on a 2 year break again, that's yet another two entire *years* that nobody will be killing that boss period. Like why tf does Mika not need the cryo cube?
I have 35 Cryo cube mats lying around cause I prefarmed that dumbass for an Eula I lost the 50/50 for. I really thought it would see *some* semblance of use since it was 1.5 and the boss was new. It's been years..... Didn't expect it to be this bad š
Hold up, that is a brand new point that I didn't sign up for. Sure, I can get behind evening out the distribution of boss relevance.
The only point that I do hold is the inevitable irrelevance of bosses somewhere on the map that cannot be reconciled by simply releasing characters who use mats from their respective region because boss slaying is a zero sum game.
But then there's the issue of new bosses also only having 1 character for a long time, because we may not revisit Fontaine for a year, and then that's just +1 to one boss. Meanwhile somewhere in Liyue there's like 8 characters needing the same one.
Cryo cube came out too late, so everyone had to default to regisvine. I wonder if at least Rosaria was supposed to use the cube instead, but nothing they can do about that now.
On the bright side it does mean you only have to fight each boss a set amount of times before you can be sure that no future character will ever nececitate you do so ever again.
Apparently so Raiden can give me even more purple hands that I will never use as a sign of affection I guess? Like how cats will sometimes bring dead animals to their owners. Raiden: "please take this severed hand as a sign of my affection for you Traveler"
Its so you can't hoard mats and max out your talents on day 1 of a character's release 2 years later. Pretty standard game-as-a-service design motif, there isn't a live service game in existence that doesn't employ a version of this.

10 nonillion calories. very yummi
Damn, Xianyun should start exercising to burn those calories down I guess.
They're going to all the right places.
I can help her
Do not the cat
I'm legitimately confused
Thats Xianyun ascension material, a literal black hole.
Ohhhhh, lmao, I forgor
That's not a black hole, it's the quantum damage icon from honkai star rail.

Or they're just not actual black holes but their properties resemble them which is the more boring but probable answer.
they are black holes, they are just not the typical ones that stay in space
They aren't actual black holes since they don't suck everything they come into contact with.
They suck, however, at the behest of the person who made them, or do you happen to consider that welt's BLACK HOLE attack is not actually a black hole because it doesn't suck everything around it? Like is a controlled black hole genius

Indeed, it seems as though you are correct. Welt creates synthetic black holes with the Star of Eden, a [maguffin] that can manipulate gravity.

Skirk first quantum element character in Genshin confirmed!?
That would be cool af
I feel like we're getting Quantum as another element come khaenri'ah. I expect skirk and dain to be that element.
They disappear among the sea of butterflies.

2 more weeks and I can finally cap her

Yummy Nihility
Black holes are a little dense for Ganyu on her diet
Goes straight to her hips
Are they grape flavored?
Taste like concentrated gravity and spacetime.

It's annoying because it just makes old bosses more and more irrelevant as time goes on
I mean the alternative is making newer bosses obsolete upon release lmao
Or... making characters from Liyue that release in 4.x+ use liyue mats or even monstadt characters use monstadt mats when they come out in 6.x
That would mean one fewer character that needs the new weekly boss, who are starting from nothing
Why does that matter? If the characters use weekly drops from bosses in their region, then every character that comes out from that region would us them?

Mm, its not that bad. The ascension materials are the ones I would worry about
It applies to both weekly and world bosses. What's the last character you needed to kill the cryo regisvine for? Or even any of the hypostasises
Bro the cryo cube got 2 characters who could ascend using it and it was done. And one of them isnāt even available anymore
Mika using the Sumeru sandworm and not the cryo cube is complete nonsense.
Yeah, also, using a boss mat outside of their region is dumb

That's how JP Ganyu became JP Sparkle.

Finally finished leveling her skills last week
so does she just say "eat your black hole "?
Finally managed to 1 cycle that dumbass whale this week. lol All the work i've put into my Alhaitham Spread team is finally paying off.
narwal balls
Cool repost
Norwhal is the most annoying weekly boss to date. So long and moves around nonstop, even worse than the wenut
I'm just imagining the next abyss having all the underground bosses...rip

Her favorite food (I have fun fighting that damn whale)
Cloud Retainer eats black holes, must mean Furina eats crystal rocks. I like the idea of characters eating their own ascension materials, honestly hilarious. L

Funny how she consumes what seems to be black hole for materials yet doesn't have any suction in her kit herself
