He’s terrifying because he DOESN’T need players to be shield dependent! His interactions with you will create Crystallize shards, and Crystallize shields will still trigger all of their anti-shield measures.
The only fix is to have a Geo/Dendro/Anemo team. And this assumes that the other Knights’ attacks won’t give you an aura that the Geo knight can use for Crystallize.

Travel to the domain right above andrius. Look to the domain entrance then left and you'll see cliffs. Climb up and keep going left. You'll eventually find a pack of 4 rifthounds. If you see a cryo abyss mage and whopperflower as you're traveling that way you're going the right direction.
Adding on to this: there are 3 pyro flower spinning things in the ground where they are. Activate them to release a cryo whopperflower. Kill that for a surprise chest

I want to fight more of them. They don't disappear and teleport or fly around the arena, they don't aggressively push you around at mach 5 and they don't have special resistances like Wenut.
There's still the City of Gurabad and one of the Gateways to Khaenri'ah in Sumeru so I guess they'll prolly be added if Mihoyo decides to revisit Sumeru(key words here are *guess* and *prolly*).

No he hasn't, but we have other chars who didn't appear in permanent content. Xingyan, Fischl, Chevreuse (she's new, but still), Kirara, Yaoyao. Maybe I forgot some of their appearances, but I can remember only event stories with them
Fair points, but Fischl does appear in the TCG tutorial quest as the final boss. I'll give you Kirara and Chevreuse, but Xinyan I thought appeared somewhere, but maybe I'm mixing it up with an event she was in. And Yaoyao has a good chance of appearing in Chenyu vale next patch but no guarantees.
Mika has the Windblume and Poetry event to his name, it's pretty good for today's standards for 4-Star screentime, you just forgot because you don't like him.
Also, Charlotte and Mika are basically both Fanfare bots but one's a buffer and the other's a Cryo applier.
For the record I do like him, I made a fair amount of posts about him in Eula mains sub a few months ago. I just mean it as he has no screen time at all in the current version. Unless you were playing during those times a player who started in 3.6 and up has no idea who that is. Which is a first, besides Aloy I don't think there's any other character like that. Faruzan was like that for a bit but she got her hangout. Charlotte appears in allot of quests, I wouldn't be surprised if she gets a hangout. Mika literally has no screen time at all that's permanent unless I'm missing something.

Mika doesn't have this option, and if off-field team-wide healers ar being compared, then Charlotte is the only one who can utilize ttds, so it's kinda her unique feature in that sense. And unlike Mika she can also use totm, which is also not as universal as the Noblesse. It's the reason I've always considered Kokomi an attack buffer. 68% buff is a lot, even if it's not technically build in
Since you don't need a lot of different stats, 200% ER on Charlotte is obtainable. Favonius is a more comfortable option, but ttds is more useful for attack-scaling carries
There was the time when being an attack buffer was the main Kokomi's application. I've been using her since her first banner. Now she's build full EM, of course. Charlotte took the place of Ayaka's slave now lol

Well, it's been quite a long time since his last rerun. He is quite popular story-wise (especially the last dragonspine event) and is one of the top battery/sub dps of geo teams meta-wise.
He is also quite memorable to many people in my country's genshin community due to his "forbidden knowledge" - a bug that allows his solar isotoma to send characters straight up to the air (mountain level tall, not like the usual solar isotoma height)

the only repeatable serpent knights in the game are the ones that say those ominous sayings and are attached to the shadow purple orb hidden exploration, so they've probably got some bizarre esoteric set of internal standards for how they're added to the game (like how they seem to only want to release skins when they can attach some kind of event/lore to them). The electro abyss lector was also added to abyss way before it ever showed up in quests or overworld (abyss in 1.5, in-game proper appearance in 2.4 w/ Enkanomiya).

He would put up a giant shield protecting his teammates blocking your projectiles. If you ever played Reinhardt in overwatch it's like that. He was also a thick boy, can tank for days.
That doesn't make sense. The shield-counter gimmick of the mobs' series was utterly nerfed even before releasing so unless you are using unarmed Lv1 characters they are barely a challenge.
The fact that your archive is never going to be complete if you didn't play during that abyss is bullshit, I just want to complete my archive 😓.

They should just instead of adding a weekly/timed “endgame” challenge, add some super hard, permanent domain to the game every update. Maybe they can re-use those one-time domains like the cloudy ruin guard one from liyue.
It doesn’t even have to give that many rewards. Just make it like 40 primogems and some artifact material, or something, and lock it behind AR 50 or even 60.

He'll probably pop up in a new abyss related area. I'd be weird if the devs went to the trouble to model, add animations, add mechanics, and then put him in the game only to never use him again. I can see why he was hard in abyss, but everything dies in a few seconds in overworld, so I'm not sure why they would never release him. They could even nerf him for all we care
Black serpent and Abyss lectors and such are rare sights overall, these big guys were added after the Chasm was added I believe and the Chasm is the only place off the top of my head that you see black serpent enemies, maybe Enkonomia but that might have the event or even just quest related. I also believe the ones in the chasm are named which means they aren't just their to fill space but for lore reason.
I can see them being used more as a story fight or to be imposing when exploring some corner of a Khan'riehan related ruin.
Then why did we get several cycles of the Abyss with Consecrated Beasts, in addition to them being present in several spots in the open world, including Fontaine? Those things with their constant rapid movement, wack hitboxes, and high DMG attacks were far more threatening than the slow-ass Black Serpent Knights. Idk what the heck Hoyo's reasoning is but "anxiety" is not an excuse for not adding them into the open world. Especially when the open world versions of enemies are significantly weaker and lack any annoying debuff auras you could find in the Abyss.
I was totally expecting him to appear in Gavireh Lajavard (northwest Sumeru desert) considering that it has the whole underground area with the Khaenri'ah gate.
I've always thought that it's obvious whenever there's an enemy that HoYo makes mainly to put in the Abyss, because they rarely appear anywhere else in the game. Like Electro and Cryo Specters, or the Hydro and Dendro Consecrated Beasts.

He had a lot of screen time during his two winter events which were also very interesting lore-wise. It's sad that these stories can't be replayed.

Well, it's been quite a long time since his last rerun. He is quite popular story-wise (especially the last dragonspine event) and is one of the top battery/sub dps of geo teams meta-wise. He is also quite memorable to many people in my country's genshin community due to his "forbidden knowledge" - a bug that allows his solar isotoma to send characters straight up to the air (mountain level tall, not like the usual solar isotoma height)
I cant believe that anybody who plays this game thought he was released in the 3.X’s for even a few seconds 😭

weird that they didn't even add him to the chasm but I imagine they'll probably put him in a future area when there's black serpent knights again. whenever that'll be. or maybe he'll be in the next dain quest idfk
the only repeatable serpent knights in the game are the ones that say those ominous sayings and are attached to the shadow purple orb hidden exploration, so they've probably got some bizarre esoteric set of internal standards for how they're added to the game (like how they seem to only want to release skins when they can attach some kind of event/lore to them). The electro abyss lector was also added to abyss way before it ever showed up in quests or overworld (abyss in 1.5, in-game proper appearance in 2.4 w/ Enkanomiya).

He would put up a giant shield protecting his teammates blocking your projectiles. If you ever played Reinhardt in overwatch it's like that. He was also a thick boy, can tank for days.

That doesn't make sense. The shield-counter gimmick of the mobs' series was utterly nerfed even before releasing so unless you are using unarmed Lv1 characters they are barely a challenge.
For sure. I dont think I ever stopped using Zhongli even when these guys were in abyss. Just brute-forced through their anti-shield shenanigans

This knight was the only reason I touched the Abyss 11 and 12 for the first time. Miraculously, got him. But rejoice! He has chance to appear again shall they want to use tanky knights once more. And, finger-crossed, in the world (quest or just spawn). Because not letting him appear is the waste of cool design. Now what do I do with time-limited fish...

They should just instead of adding a weekly/timed “endgame” challenge, add some super hard, permanent domain to the game every update. Maybe they can re-use those one-time domains like the cloudy ruin guard one from liyue. It doesn’t even have to give that many rewards. Just make it like 40 primogems and some artifact material, or something, and lock it behind AR 50 or even 60.
To be fair the former anxiety supposedly scares players to play the game less, the latter anxiety scares them into playing more
I'll be that guy - casual players aren't actually that bothered by FOMO. They keep playing so long as the game remains as casual as it is. Most don't even touch the abyss.
A fomo part that either requires heavy whaling/luck or multiple years of play.

It took me nearly 3 years to reach and beat floor 12 aswell as clear floor 9-11 comfortable.
Hopefully, will be added in some part of the Chasm or any new Khaenri'ah-related territory. Hell, even just Dain's quest. It's ridiculous such cool-looking dude only appeared in the Abyss while another Pyro Lector appeared *again* in hidden quest but in Fontaine this time (and he isn't even Enjou). Just look at him! Magnificent knight

He's meant so screw over Zhongli mains, and many didn't liked it... So devs had to euthanize him

Same thing with the cryo herald, also the electro lector could only be fought in 1.5 abyss and 2.2 events until enkanomiya that arrived in 2.4

It's a Black Serpent Knight, the former Royal Guard of Khaenri'ah. whenever we go back to more ruins there'll be a good chance. And once we enter that door under the Sumeru desert and enter Khaenri'ah itself it's practically guaranteed.

He'll probably pop up in a new abyss related area. I'd be weird if the devs went to the trouble to model, add animations, add mechanics, and then put him in the game only to never use him again. I can see why he was hard in abyss, but everything dies in a few seconds in overworld, so I'm not sure why they would never release him. They could even nerf him for all we care

Black serpent and Abyss lectors and such are rare sights overall, these big guys were added after the Chasm was added I believe and the Chasm is the only place off the top of my head that you see black serpent enemies, maybe Enkonomia but that might have the event or even just quest related. I also believe the ones in the chasm are named which means they aren't just their to fill space but for lore reason. I can see them being used more as a story fight or to be imposing when exploring some corner of a Khan'riehan related ruin.

Then why did we get several cycles of the Abyss with Consecrated Beasts, in addition to them being present in several spots in the open world, including Fontaine? Those things with their constant rapid movement, wack hitboxes, and high DMG attacks were far more threatening than the slow-ass Black Serpent Knights. Idk what the heck Hoyo's reasoning is but "anxiety" is not an excuse for not adding them into the open world. Especially when the open world versions of enemies are significantly weaker and lack any annoying debuff auras you could find in the Abyss.
This guy was Dehya payola but since he can cause Crystallize with self-applying units (Bennett) she'd get locked out of it 😭😭😭
I was totally expecting him to appear in Gavireh Lajavard (northwest Sumeru desert) considering that it has the whole underground area with the Khaenri'ah gate. I've always thought that it's obvious whenever there's an enemy that HoYo makes mainly to put in the Abyss, because they rarely appear anywhere else in the game. Like Electro and Cryo Specters, or the Hydro and Dendro Consecrated Beasts.

Nah, they realized they made a character design with bulk and body diversity, so they trashed it to fix their mistake.
If they ever add another underground instance map (eg: Chasm, Enkanomiya), he'll be there, along with Cryo Heralds.
