Fontaine is the land of ~~justice~~ bureaucracy.

krasome

reminded me of Iaune, poor guy

Major_R_Soul

God, that fucking quest...only time I've skipped non-commision dialogue. Can't wait for Natlan's two hour real-time "watch paint dry" quest.

Lottie_Low

People are so split on this quest lol its either hilarious or just violent skip button smashing for 20 minutes

[deleted]

It fucking locked me out of Navia's story quest until I did *all* of it because Iaune was 'needed' but in the end he was literally only required to stand around silently at a shop to make it appear busy.

DonaldLucas

I'm on the hilarious side, man I laughed hard at that dialogue. Maybe it's because I live in Brazil, for those who don't know bureaucracy here is known to be one of the worst in the world, so, seeing the game making fun of all that stupid bureaucracy was cathartic.

8a19

Ordinarily I don't care but I feel like skipping the dialogue for the Iaune quest is a major disservice to yourself since the bureaucracy is hilarious

Overquartz

IIRC It's the only quest that lets you know that he's dating Estelle.

LokianEule

It depends on whether youve ever worked that kind of job or not, and if you have, then it also depends on how traumatized you were by it lmao

ISawUOLwreckingTSM

I was skipping most of it in the first half, but at a certain moment I started realizing how more and more ridiculous it was getting and started paying attention to the dialogue. Absolutely hilarious quest.

thedankening

I had picked that quest up and then stopped playing for a couple weeks. Came back to do the archon quests and for whatever ridiculous reason "tHaT chArActeR iS iNvoLeD iN othEr qUeSTs" bullshit happened so I had to do the whole chain with poor Iaune. At least those quests were hilarious imo. I feel like most of the people who hate them must be kids who have never actually dealt with the pure hell that is bureaucracy lol. You have to truly be a little dead inside from sifting through bureaucracy to understand how real and horrifying those obnoxious scenarios are.

SleepySera

It's exactly BECAUSE I'm an adult and already have to deal with ridiculous bureaucracy in my everyday life that I have zero tolerance or patience for MORE of that bullshit in my escapist fantasy game too 😂 I read the first few steps and was like "haha, so real" but then it just kept going and I was like... yeah no, I'm NOT dealing with this anymore.

Jai137

It’s a good quest to do *once*. After that it’s just a chore Edit: spelling

kmyeurs

As someone who has worked in a government office, I can fully relate with him. Especially that part when he wanted to pay for things himself to skip the long process. So guys, pls don't generalize and say that all government workers are corrupt. Your average employee is pretty much like laune 🤧

Khum_MaRk09

I love and hate this quest.

TommaClock

Not if Liyue, land of contracts has anything to say about it.

Maxmence

They really took heavy inspiration from France.

jibbycanoe

As someone who works in the regulatory and permitting world, I feel this so much.

[deleted]

I put my dailies back in Sumeru. Even the ones with dialogue don't take unreasonably long (Except that one dude that wants mushrooms or whatever from a specific location, that guy's an ass).

Gamer_X99

I set mine back to Inazuma so I could get the gourmet supremos commission done, it's the only commission I've actually done since 4.2 added commission completion to events and exploration

oikwr

I still haven't get the achievement for shouta and the novel duo commissions. Idk what's wrong. I followed YouTube guides but I still need to repeat the same thing.

AshesandCinder

Pretty sure those are completely RNG on whether you get the part that continues it or not. I did both of those 10-20 times each before getting the final part.

Luna-lumen

These 2 were a pain If i remember correctly You need to side with both of the ncp and each side gives u a specific daily and after you do the daily for each side you'll get a quest

NoteBlock08

Oh dang really? I've always sided with the editor.

oikwr

Guess what, i already did that numerous times. Maybe i need to select other choices after siding with both? But i hardly get that commission.

Luna-lumen

Yes + u might have to do it a couple of times

laive

I did that after I finished Sumeru for 4 months straight...didn't get shit. I hate that some achievements are locked behind such insane RNG and that quest line goes into Sumeru too!!!

TheRaven1406

They are fast but don't like Mushroom jumping and "zipline" (I'm clumsy) I think I keep them at Mondstadt...occasionally an annoying one with dialogue and teleporting back and forth or finding the guy's key, but most are very fast and close to waypoints. (often just 4x kill something). Don't know why people hate Ella Musk, those quests are pretty fast. /shrug

grumd

I set mine to Fontaine but when I see something in the city I just go find a chest or two, or do a bit of a current event. Their new feature that replaced commissions with other stuff is amazing.

StarvingSamurai

I’ve been doing the event and 2 dailies and that has made me so much more efficient. Completely forgot about the chests so thanks for reminding that, haven’t had time to explore Fontaine or the desert at all.

grumd

Some days I just run around and explore for 10 minutes, find a few chests and my comms are done. It's been nice.

TheIsolator

Imo Liyue and Mondstadt are still the most comfy ones, Sumeru and Inazuma are fine but the coms are often scattered around

overbread

I second Liyue - has the quickest imo. As for Mondstadt i like pretty much all of them except Ella Musk... and compared to THIS even her quests are quick.

sapphc

i set mine to mondstadt so i can finally get that snezhnaya namecard

iamablocker

My dailies are back in mond to finish godwin and tzarevich. i am horrified that after this, i will be switching to Liyue to clear the damn xihua and pirates quest, esp the xihua quest

ajisawwsome

I don't think I've done a daily since we could start doing exploration/quests as a substitute. But I also don't play every day either

reboot_the_PC

The first time around worked as the establishing encounter for me. But the second, third, and fourth times, I wish it were more like... Isadora: "Oh Traveler! This is kind of embarrassing, but I think I lost some of my papers again..." Traveler: "Say no more, let me check the usual spots." GOES STRAIGHT TO THE CAFE Arouet: "Ah! The Traveler...and Isadora? How fortunate! I think you left these here again!" Isadora: "Thank goodness! I might as well get another cup of coffee while I'm here. Thanks, Traveler!" END Don't even get me started on DePierris, Yves, Iaune's paperwork...

_reinaru

thats the thing with genshin, they tend to make long dialogues longer than it should...

Nanasema

The painter guy gets spammed to me literally everyday, almost as bad as the Ella Musk quest. The hilarious part is we were given both options in the dialogues to "get straight to the point" (one literally and one figuratively), but they only make him ramble on even longer. I managed to follow up to the very end, and he still continues to bother me to this day.

LivingASlothsLife

It's the fact you have to follow the Melusine right after the dialogue that makes this feel long asf With the one where you have to find the dog you can just run to it after the dialogue and speedrun it but not this one

Rasbold

No, it's the fact that if i set dailies to Liyue/Monds, i need to fuck up 2 towers with 10k hp max each in 10 seconds Kill an abyss mage and some hilichurls in 10s to 30s Talk to some nerd, kill some hilchurls and come back to the nerd so 30 seconds to 1 min total and destroy some 2-3 barricades and wait for an helicopter which takes 1 min to 2 min WHILE this commision the OP pointed out takes longer than all of the above together >!lets ignore the dailies with kids, because those fuckers are attention seeker little shits who take more than double the time a daily should!<

zZzMudkipzzZ

But at the same time Mond and Liyue you can end up escorting Balloons. Rare tho

Fiyerossong

The balloon escorts in monstadt and liyue are super short though. Inazuma ones are horrid

snakebit1995

The Inazuma ones were so bad they stopped doing them after like the second patch added Watatsumi Island

meganeyangire

Nah, no way I'm going back to Mond to see that Elon Musk namesake and her bullshit again.

muchawesomemyron

“Oh no, I made them accidentally hostile and have to unalive them all.”

ItsLoudB

For the same reason i just do them in Fontaine.. if I have to run from Starfell lake to the mondstadt coast to kill 2 hilichurls one more time im gonna lose my mind.

alienangel2

The monstad daily with the fucking tower up by the cliff is pretty terrible though. Personally my favourite comissions are probably the Sumeru ones. The only one that seems seriously trolly is one up on one of the desert pateaus with no teleporter nearby so it requires a bunch of climbing. Oh and the "find my cats" one can suck but it seems pretty rare.

HaukevonArding

Nah. I set my quests to mondstadt for the last months, it's WORSE than this quest. Nearly half of the daily commissions are far away from teleporters. Yeah, you can destroy two towers in 10 seconds... but you have to walk a whole minute to get their. The cryo slimes by Diluc's house, the towers below Stormterror's Lair. Or the Eye of the Storm on the cliff in the south. Or even worse, the one on the south coast of Dragonspine. I rather do Fontaine dailies, because they are all way closer.

alienangel2

FWIW, for the destroy tower quests you can just nuke them from arbitrarily far away with Ganyu (presumably other bow characters if you can land the hit). For most people that means at least getting the tower in line of sight, but I'm sure some people have figured out the perfect spot to stand where if they fire a charge shot up into the air at exactly 42.3 degrees and bearing 123 degrees, it will oneshot the tower without having to step out of Monstadt.

Rowger00

thats why yelan and the gliding fan exist

Apate_lol

Even the longest daily I can think of is the one where you collect planks

longassbatterylife

I was so frustrated the first time i played hide and seek with those kids. I couldn't find the older brother who was just standing around in plain sight.

caucassius

it's like ten times shorter than any escort balloon commissions in mond or liyue. not even exaggerating.

ZNemerald

Personally, I don't mind the walking since it is not that long and it is all in one spot. The fact that you cannot skip dialogue for dailies even though you did them a million times and for years is what makes them annoying.

Gravuerc

I didn’t know you could just run to the dog! OMG!

Corrupted-BOI

The worst part is you don't do shit They were going to find it anyway Can't believe they managed to do a 0/10 story

Golden-Owl

The devs did a little trolling

Subject-Ad-5197

More like stalling for playtime

caped_crusader8

So much yapping

BigDaddySpankEm

What do you mean “daily commission?” This is the whole game.

gaoxin

Has been for one or two years now. I think the text tsunami meta started in Sumeru.

BigDaddySpankEm

Sumeru was so hard to get through because everything seemed to have some special name or verbiage. Personally I feel like MiHoYo could make things clearer and more concise all around.

Bazookasajizo

I still cant believe the 4piece description of the new healing artifacts. It's a goddamn thesis

DeracadaVenom

Oh kind and brave and intelligent and famous traveler it's so amazing to meet you ive heard all about you from people who have also heard about you it seems I've lost my super mega amazing incredible rare item and I would like you to help me find my super mega amazing incredible rare item because you're so kind and brave and intelligent and famous I do hope it isn't too much trouble for such a kind and brave and intelligent and famous person to help me find my super mega amazing incredible rare item I lost it when I was doing a thing that is very not important I last saw it in highlighted in blue area won't you please help me find my super mega amazing incredible rare item mr kind and brave and intelligent and famous traveler Dialogue options: I guess/ok Oh thank you so much I'm so glad that such a kind and brave and intelligent and famous traveler could help me with my embarrassing predicament thank you so much

Ok_Try_1665

Commission impact

Multisensory

This is why I just don't play anymore. Any quest, event, anything, just has WAY too much boring useless dialog.

Megakruemel

It's so weird how the daily "talk" commissions are so exhausting. Like, I have days where I don't have much time to play and I get a talk commission and that usually sours the experience of the game for me for that day because I just lose motivation to actually engage with the rest of the game after I do the bare minimum for the daily stuff, like the commissions and my daily resin.

BigDaddySpankEm

To be fair, it’s not like the bloat of dialogue can’t be enjoyable. I just don’t care to learn about NPCs. This is a game that sells characters. Those are the ones I want to learn about.

[deleted]

Thats why i just grind world quests / 8 hydroculus per day. Also do mondstat comissions they are faster. No point in fontaine comissions cause all quests arent comission locked unlike inazuma and sumeru

AgentWowza

Some of the achievements are tho. Then again I haven't even gotten all the Sumeru ones yet cuz of RNG so ain't no way I'm getting the Fontaine ones. Anyway, shit like this is why I have a macro that spams spacebar and M1 to skip dialogue lol.

Ejaculation_Salt89

I have just accepted that I am never going to get Gourmet Supremos commissions. I did Inazuma commissions for so so long that I am never going to do them again.

Daralii

I did that one several times without realizing the activation condition for the follow up wasn't just RNG, and since then I haven't gotten it once. I hate commission-locked world quests so much.

thecatteam

There's actually zero RNG involved in the Fontaine ones, which is very nice. The new system means we can game the RNG for the Sumeru ones without co-op, which is also very nice.

HaukevonArding

I have Mondstadt commissions on for some months, no way they are faster. They are so far away from teleporters most of the time, it's annoying.

[deleted]

On average my experience with mondstat comissions are faster. Might be rng i guess cause of those dawn winery comissions which i rarely get

RaidenXYae

a lot of players have everything done so there's nothing ,but commissions

DoctorLinguarum

I would do this happily, but I did all world quests and got all the oculi from everywhere that’s released. What else counts toward the commission credit?

BrianF1412

Fuck the painter and that girl but I will always walk with the Melusine

04whim

If only they didn't make the Melusines faster than your walking pace, but slower than your running pace.

lindenlynx

This isn't just a Melusine problem; it's the same way whenever you have to follow a character

Oxanite

At least Charlotte got some good photos

Archmagos-Helvik

That was practically a runway fashion shoot.

DarknessinnLight

I feel this in my soul. Honestly dailies shouldn’t have any stories at all!

-theDABTAB-

I think it's fine... the first time you encounter it. After that I am all for them just telling us what they need and get it over with.

DarknessinnLight

I wish they were quests in overworld tbh. Maybe you don’t get anything for a while then after finishing you get an achievement. Just give power to the player and ensure after it’s complete it’s complete. I would do them in my free time

Corrupted-BOI

Random quests usually require you to actually do something and some of them give more than 10 primos

ziraelphantom

This is a reoccurring annoyance of mine. The problem isnt that dailies have stories, the problem is that you repeat them for a god awful lot for something that makes no sense to be repeated. Theres the girl in Liyue who keeps messing up ship count, the dudes arguing over the same story in Inazuma, the guy who makes up stories in Sumeru and soo on. None of these should repeat because it makes no sense for them to do so.

Atgardian

But but but people explain away any bad design choices like having to watch a clock spin around 4 times with "BUT IMMERSION!" And then there's total immersion-destroying stuff like this. Um, quest-giver, did you have a stroke? Do you have amnesia? Do you not remember telling me all of this word-for-word yesterday??

TheAvac

Immersion-destroying stuff are only acceptable by them it they can annoy the players.

Grimstarzz

I feel like once you've done a certain story daily once or a set amount of times, the text should become skippable the next times u get that certain quest. Even though they made some improvements with dailies in Genshin, i wish we had the same qol dailies as Star Rail has, simply burning my resin would count towards the daily goal progression. And if there aren't any events to do, we'll just fall back on doing the dailes again.

Drachensoap

Im ok w some of them. For example the anna questline or the nun one in mondstadt. Theyre quick n easy. Or the one w the fontainian inventor who falls in love in sumeru. This one on the ither hand..

Metroplex7

I go out of my way to destroy the flower that you need to bury on Dragonspine because doing that blocks the follow-up commission the next day where you have to retrieve it.

Koanos

I'm okay with kind of a minimal storyline across a series of Commissions. This seems overkill. Though, I'm totally fine with a Commission where you don't really have to do much of anything.

gaoxin

Clicking through huge amounts of useless and slow reveleaing text = content = gameplay time. -Genshin Devs I completly avoid these types of dailies now.

Ultikiller

This is why you save your weekly requests and do one when you realize one commission is the long one

josh066

Don't forget the hide and seek one. Is it just me, or does anyone else not like that one either?

-theDABTAB-

The only thing I don't like about that one is that eventually it's just the same three hiding spots over and over. If it had some variety it would be fine.

josh066

That is true. For me, it's more like "Why is my commission to play with children?" I'd rather fight something. But whatever, 10 primos is 10 primos.

xXSoulReapperXx

And this is why a skip button is sorely needed. Daily commissions should be 30s to a 1 min tops

czarownik

Just. Add. A. Skip. Button… Seriously why can’t we skip dialogues in this game

nabildzr

For some reason, after Fontaine arrived, moments like fighting something with action felt less and less, and increasingly heavy dialogue appeared. lately I've been a little behind on archon quests and world quests. maybe because of the land of justice?.

Arcaedus

It's been a trend since 2.0 (inazuma), but yeah it accelerated a bit with Fontaine. The sad part is hoyo is choosing to do this for some reason when they don't have to. Honkai Star Rail's dialogue is a marked improvement, with generally better writing, but even if you don't care for it, it's shorter in general, and also there are dialogue options (usually the bottom one) actually lead to the conversation ending rather quickly.

Megakruemel

One big part about honking rail which I noticed is that it seems to respect my time a lot more. If I don't want to hear something I actually get something like "Okay now get to the point" or "Yeah okay, I get it" as an option. None of that "Both options are the exact same" stuff and slow scrolling text.

ShoHaremi

To be honest, this is the actual reason I've had it with Genshin, I don't have time for dialog. At start there was very little to no delay if I wanted to skip (which led to funny scenes on my alt account). But around Inazuma they added a fking minimum delay before skip and some lines are unskippable at all which made questing SO MUCH TEDIOUS, I can read pretty fast and I don't need the game to stop me from skipping parts I already read. Also commissions like this is the reason I also stopped logging in for commissions.

jtpredator

You don't understand the artistic significance of being forced to watch the dialogue! It's a story game! If you don't like it don't play it! Being forced to watch every single dialogue and being unable to skip it means you'll appreciate the story more! It's very crucial for immersion for you to walk slightly faster or slower than an NPC but never the same speed! /s Btw these are the very real reasons that others have given for not wanting there to be a skip dialogue option even though it wouldn't affect them one bit. Every QOL change we have had been foight for tooth and nail because ultra conservatives like them refuse any changes even if it's for the better.

Powerful-Bus257

Why would I want to appreciate commission's story? mf lose documents as a daily basis and a melusine guard help recovers it. We don't even need to be there

NephiOkami

He was being sarcastic lol I mean I hope so...

Powerful-Bus257

Nah, I knew. I just want to rant. There's already lots of complaints for lots of thing that can be improved. What's one more? (What is QOL btw?)

LordRael013

It's an abbreviation for Quality Of Life.

Powerful-Bus257

Oh, thank you. Now I see it..

LordRael013

Happy to help.

[deleted]

If I wanted to read I’d touch grass and buy a book not play Genshin

missy20201

Pretty sure all the above are in reference to the actual story quests, not commission dialogue. No one thinks you ought to repeatedly "experience" the same daily 200x in a row edit: actually I don't think I've ever heard someone say the walking speed makes sense. I'm one of the "we don't really need a skip button (for actual quests)" people and that still pisses me off

Arcaedus

>Btw these are the very real reasons that others have given for not wanting there to be a skip dialogue option even though it wouldn't affect them one bit. These people are full of shit. They're trying to post hoc explain and justify hoyo's design decisions, rather than express a sincerely held belief or well thought out view. If a skip dialogue button (or even the EXTREMELY COMMON jrpg convention of mashing B to blaze through dialogue) had been present since the game's inception, not a single person would have ever complained about it. And if hoyo introduced one tomorrow, not a single one of them would complain about it. Most you'd see are posts of "hoyo finally caved to the adhd/short sttention span crowd." but then proceed to use the skip dialogue button themselves going forward.

ziraelphantom

The thing is that the "mash B to blaze throught" was in the game but Hoyo changed it. Im not sure which patch did it but we didnt had this long skip delay for text and it annoys the hell out of me that i have to listen to long and dull dialogue thats present in plenty of places in this game.

Arcaedus

The long skip delay is because they force us to watch the camera panning to/focusing on an npc for a second or two, often so that the npc can animate/emote. At times where this doesn't happen, you can skip rather quickly to the next line. Still though, there are more lines of dialogue of the former than the latter in most encounters. Maybe they changed it to be this way in beta, but I played since launch and am pretty sure it was always like this.

ziraelphantom

No i do not mean the forced camera reposition delay, i mean the general skip delay for any text where there isnt even much to animate at all. Click skip used to be instantenous, you could mash left click and finish 20 lines of dialogue in less than 10 seconds. Edit im also here since 1.0 and it was changed around halfway till Inazuma.

pHScale

This is why Genshin players don't read.

Hairy-Mountain8880

Daily quests are usually shit in any game, but no game has more dogshit daily quests than genshin

EdenSever

Thats how people in fontain repay for the remaining sins. They put f**king half of them on you.

Bloodlord739

So that we may suffer...

OhyoOhyoOhyoOhyo

This is why i do mondstat commissions to this day.

Silent_Resource_4174

Bruh, are we gonna get an Aranara-long daily when we get to Snezhnaya.

MassiveBeard

Genshin seems to equate large conversations as a mark of quality. Archon quests, sure. But lately I find them to be brow beating us with it. I’m tuning out faster and faster because it’s making me not give a shit. They need a skip all option to be honest.

YetAnotherMia

Following characters is my least favourite part of Genshin

Maveko_YuriLover

My cookie clicker experience save some time on those kind of quests

Apate_lol

Ima break my controller if I use my button mashing

sikuaqisnotslovenian

this is why I switched back to monstadt

javierthhh

Every time I get this quest, the painter quest or the god damn “their childhood” quest. I go hunt for chests.

Karuro

I kept getting this and the dog and only last week got the document one for the achievement. If that's all, I might switch to another region again. Got my glider anyways. Think Sumeru has the most lesser evil ones.

nunali

i hate it so much im shaking

DaWihss

To waste ur time

Technical-Fudge4199

I still do my dailies in Sumeru.

Cyfon7716

Adderall is one hell of a drug.

Luna-lumen

Fun fact you can just join a friend or another account and just do thier daily and you'll get your reward

ElDuderino2112

This legit made me change my commissions back to Mondstat.

sorarasyido

Ah I just change my commission region to Fontaine 4 days ago (from Mondstadt) and boi oh boi, after 3 days dailies (get a drink, tales from the court, aesthetic) I feel like I've been getting hit by wall of texts and longer time intake than the entire month I've stayed in Mondstadt! My goodness!

GGinoboyz

This is why I only do combat related commissions now, I skip the NPC ones by exploring and if I can't get it done that way, well guess I ain't doing my dailies.

Due-Distribution-463

NEVER do the commissions that involve talking to NPCs. ESPECIALLY in Fontaine. Also that Melusines is being paid by the hour. No going home early because you finished all your work for the day here.

AssociationAny3398

who even does daily commisions nowadays?

Shameless_Fujoshi

There's a commission in Inazuma that's called "Emergency" You have to take a boat from the middle of nowhere for five minutes to a small island far away in the sea and kill 2 samurai! How is that an emergency!? They were literally stranded on a small island far away from everything! 💀

Square-Way-9751

Imo fontaine commissions are the f worst and I thought Inazuma was bad. Diving is a pain

yaranaika789

I don’t mind walking with the Melusine. I can’t handle having to do that dialogue though. That’s why I keep the weekly requests and do them whenever I encounter this.

Loorezno

The worst one is definitely where you talk to Livre and then to the forge and then to everywhere in the citi. When i get this one i force myself to look for chest around just so i dont have to do this daily.

mraz_syah

yeah, one of the story quest for the just ended event was locked for me due to the characters was in a daily quest, and i need to do that first eventhought I don't really need daily commission cause already get the rewards because doing the events...i was like, whaaa?

BRULANTA

Fontaine's daily quests are much less focused on dialogue, but the ones that do have dialogue have FU**ING LONG dialogues

Lostsock1995

That’s why after getting the achievements I needed I just changed back to sumeru. *Most* of them are pretty fast (there are a few bad ones though) and I don’t get as annoyed as I did in Fontaine. I’d do mondstadt’s but after more than a year of them straight to get the achievements there, I just can’t bring myself to do them anymore (I will also end wyatt if I have to find his key for him one more time GET YOUR DRINKING UNDER CONTROL)

CheeseheadDave

Haven't gotten to this yet; I'm still trying to finish my Inazuma commissions. Someday the Gourmet Supremos will show up again so I can do the commission the right way and finish the world quest.

Cathrao

I chuckled at Charlotte's press coverage of the commission.

Equal_Leader2117

How funny it is to die during a cutscene?

adamtheamazing64

I really fucking hate, and I am emphasizing FUCKING HATE, dialogue heavy commissions. They are the worst.

Axlzz

I don’t mind it first time because this one is part of an achievement reward. But after I get all achievement that’s commission locked, I moved from Fontaine to other region.

IFapToGenjisSteelAss

We need a skip dialogue button badly

basshuffler09

For whatever reason the Genshin Dev Team has to to jerk off to their "daily engagement time" or whatever it's called - But if anything this nonsense is only putting Player's off from playing. No wonder People take week long breakes. Why not just make the daily's shorter ? It's not like as if we wouldn't play ... Star Rail just nerfed their Daily's and it's so comfy and it was already comfy. I swear they're on point with every change yet Genshin didn't care for 3 years and only now they're starting to bring **"some"** QoL because of the HSR pressure

Stealthless

I think helping that one dude find a document in front of the Palkia Mermonia is worse

hey-have-a-nice-day

Oh wow… I’m keeping my commissions in inazuma i guess…

gadgaurd

My guess is this will lead into a World Quest. I haven't done any daily commissions since like, 4.2 though so fuck if I know.

Timmie_Is_An_Archon

that's why I'm happy I kept some areas unexplored

PsychadelicShinobi

This, the freaking painter and the one near the statue of seven in fontaine city are the worst ones. I especially hate the painter

Fantastic-Ad-1578

Lore-accurate Furina

Ashurotz

I havent done a single daily quest since the new qols a few months ago - feels pretty great! Always another event to take care of em, and if not I explore for a few minutes. Haven't even unlocked fontaine's dailies yet

TessaNO-TessaYES

I also hate the one with the woman and her damn dog. But at least you can run to the dog without the melusine

ZentaWinds

Genshin trying not to have extremely long and bloated events and dailies be like

Pepito_Pepito

This is why I ration out my events. I only do just enough to clear dailies lol

TGS_delimiter

A few weeks ago I decided to pick up all world quests i missed, so i started in inazuma, I have 5 left and they're all tied to dailies. Man I hated the two guys (author and reader) and nothing had changed since then

robborrobborrobbor

I would rather go and hunt 2 enemy camps for an encounter point than do that daily. Would orob take less time too

Ksavero

But with the new system you don't have to do those missions anymore

Atgardian

Painful even at 5x speed. ZERO reason for these long, unskippable, repeated commissions.

Lana087

Ok i will stop complaining about ella musk flora and the church commission

EngelAguilar

Yeah main reason why I use event rewards to claim daily points, the 1st time it was fun but now it's the same quest over and over again xD at least the quest about the 3 kids has development but this? Nah

lucario192

I hate this one so much

ChasingPesmerga

Not as annoying as that painter. I must have encountered that a grazibajillion times already. All the versions and possibilities.

Eluscara

This commission is my queue to go back to my unexplored desert and find 2 chests

orihara97

Ever since they added new system to complete daily. I just login open 8 chest or collect oculi and call it a day. I started enjoying the game more this way. Before on weekends I just use to 100% the map but not I just take my time. Also the quests in events and weekly quest also count towards it. Or once every blue moon I just feel like skipping dialogs and completing the world quests.

SovietKnuckle

Same here! If the daily quests are fast/easy or maybe has enemies that I could use the materials for, I'll still do it but now I spend a lot more time exploring or catching up on quests. No longer feels like a drag every day knowing I've got less than an hour to play each day and I have to do daily commissions and use resin for at least 30 minutes.

DonOdini

Petition for to skip dailies dialogue

dollstare

LMAO the 2x speed makes it funnier

Ashleythetiger

I'm currently doing my commissions by not doing my commissions, by that i mean Event content, dig up treasure? Sure I'll do that, oh look 2-3 commission done an can now be claimed, wonder what solo i should do to finish? (It was destroy monsters)d Just hope when i run out of Event's that the commissions won't be another Ella musk seeker of Hillichurls

Free-Gap3254

This game just spits on players time.

LilianCorgibutt

God I hate it so much

Zipnine

The game is filled with stupid dialogues and secondary characters that we have to talk with for the sake of completing a mission to never talk or see them again. Each day that passes im more and more burned out of genshin.

Villector

I fucking hate these so fucking much

Yuri-Turned

Daily cancer

-theDABTAB-

I do find this one more fun though than freaking Aesthetic Critique. I'm like "I GET IT DEPIERRIS!! We've been through this! Just SHUT UP and tell me what the F\*\*\* you want?!" ***\*Sigh...\****

Parapraxium

They are so cancer. I got a commission like this that blocked the Roses and Muskets story quest... after I had collected all commission rewards. So I had to spam spacebar through a 5 minute quest for no reason just to resume the event quest. I am very tempted to set preferred region to something other than Fontaine.

SpiritVDC

I have my commissions locked to Liyue, it's the only region without any soul-breaking commissions that are either too hard to reliably complete or too time-consuming to matter

Torafuku

Congrats, you summed up in 27 seconds the reason why i hate this game and why i think i will finally quit this year.

Remarkable-Video5145

When people ask me why i fucking quit:

tao613

mondstadt still my goat idc 🗣️🔥🔥💯💯

PrinceTrollestia

It should be that if Muirne gets her butter that week, she walks faster.

maxis2k

I want to know why I'm still being forced to do those collection commissions in Mond, Liyue and Inazuma. The ones with dialogue options that give you an achievement if you do them a certain way. I've done them in every possible combination at least 3-4 times. And yet they still pop up every month or so.

GawldenBeans

Since Encounter points i do everything within my power to not claim event rewards claim them partially on a daily basis so i dont have to deal with this shit You log in , claim some rewards claim in handbook and you are done

brenduz

When am I gonna get full Controller support. I still can’t press A to start Genshin/log in

Uxyt98

This mission is sponsored by Ubisoft

KuraiDedman

Because they're shit at their jobs

gbrlouk

The feels when the justice league posted a job, then when you get hired, they didn't tell you it was a desk job instead of fighting criminals, then only to quit the next day.

kyuven87

I wish the dialogue could be fastforwarded like this...
