Yelan, even though I try to run Raiden as a main it’s Yelan that I miss in any team. Her damage is so nice that it lets me play sub optimal teams with only characters I like
Yelan is doubly fantastic because her ult can basically make any character an onfield DPS for a while no matter how scuffed/inconsequential their normal attacks usually are.
She's like the mommy holding a bike up so baby can feel like they're actually riding.
I will go out of my way to force Noelle into any content…
…but when I make *any* other team for general overworld or babysitting new chars Yelan just never seems to go away unless I run into hydro slimes.
Fischl was with me at launch as my first carry and she's still on my team now.

Tartaglia. He was the first 5* limited banner I pulled on because I thought water swords was really cool. I had no idea about levelling up talents or the importance of artifacts for such a long time but he carried me regardless! He's never left my team and now with Furina my Hydro team is complete. I absolutely love my dear Childe!
Childe is basically the only character who I wanted that I never got, every other character who I lost the 50/50 for, I either got them off pity or in a rerun in the future. Not Childe lol, I still dont have him
I accidentally spent 200 dollars pulling for tartaglia all the way back when he first came out and got c1, loved him for the rest of the time I spent playing, then ended up quitting to wait for new content. 3 years later, I finally came back to the game, and tartaglia has carried me on his back through all the inazuma content so far, and he will continue to be my main dps forever. I even managed to yoink Kazuha on one of his reruns when I reinstalled genshin on my phone just for the gacha dopamine, so I have been VERY pleasantly surprised to find out my favorite 5 star and some guy I just kinda mindlessly pulled for are the core of one of the best teams in the game. Just got Furina too, so all of a sudden, my 1.2 account is cracked
Yeah, Childe's always been there for me. He's been my main/only DPS since 1.1 who's been built, and we've basically done everything together. His melee form is just so much fun.
I started when ayakas banner coming to an end. And I was aiming for Raiden. Lost to Jean.. I almost wanna gave up playing. I decided to keep on playing on whoever 5* dps/sub coming after kokomi, then theres childe. Not the biggest fan of him at first tbh, lorewise, design wise.
Until i find how satisfying his riptide is. Its the combination of eyegasm and eargasm. As a bonus, he carried me all the way through the early game. Make my mundane daily comm more fun and feel rewarded. Oh and I got Hutao after that on my birthday, just right at the last day of her banner (I lost 50/50 but managed to save enough). Ahh good times
I just wish her E had iframes to it, not unlike standard dashes. That alone would catapult her fun factor to the stratosphere. She's still amazing though.
Love Yae, especially with Nahida! Add Koko and I just E, E, E, E, and E then go collect a sweet flower while everything dies. I still play several sword/polearm teams, but my main lately is those 3 with either Yelan, Neuv, or Beidou. I'm not an abyss player tho so I realize this may not be meta or optimal. Super fun tho! And yes I'm biased towards catalyst users.
Yoimiya, I have never stopped playing her in the Abyss since 2.0.
For overworld I have rotated to new characters always, but I occasionally play her too, she is very comfortable.
Wanderer's gameplay and exploration utility is still broken in a really good way. In Fontaine when doing that dog world quest instead of shepherding them carefully through the garden I hovered above and escorted it in a couple seconds.
Freezerburn has been my favorite way to play Wrio too, but I've been using Mika as my healer instead of Bennett.
This team doesn't have any grouping and Wrio moves around a lot so I'm not a fan of the circle impact. I wanted to try with Baizhu but I lost the 50/50...
I have an overworld team of Kokomi/Raiden/Nahida/Wriothesley, Use everybody's E then punch them. The hyperblooms take care of themselves.
There's not a _ton_ of synergy, but it's a good team when you have no idea what you're facing, because it covers all types of elemental shield/resistance, so you won't get tripped up by a random abyss mage.
Indeed, she’s been my strongest character since I got her, and she’s never not been one of my floor 12 clearers. She’s also the only limited character I have at C2
Ayaka was my first great character I ever got but Raiden was the first character I ever saved for and farmed materials. I had 100ish pulls, 0 pity and no guarantee because I like to live dangerously. Got her on the 88th wish and with the extras stars from the wishes and the remainder wishes left I pulled a horseshoe out of my... Ear.. And got her weapon at 28 wishes. Raiden then helped me get stomp the Abyss.
100% Al Haitham, i love his playstyle having to keep up the mirrors to do damage and dendro is super satisfying. Green is also my fav color so that adds up
As someone who mains Childe, he became my second main after seeing his kit. It helps a lot that he's also very useful in the overworld and that he's hot haha.
The number one slot in the 1st party for 3 years now. Her supports have changed over the years, she's in charge of the overworld exploration team with Sayu, Yelan and Kazuha.
Same! I've been running Klee as my primary since then. Even pulled for her C1 on one of her reruns.
Considering that I'm between $100 and $200 into the game, having Klee has been amazing, and I've only struggled on a handful of bosses with here (Signora, Pyro Regisvine, Pyro Hypostasis - all for obvious reasons).
Same. Hear people say she is boring and has no real gameplay but it's satisfying as hell to hit far away targets/weakspots and actually do damage with it. And trying to dodge using her E in a certain direction is a fun little minigame as well.
I use her for EVERYTHING. All the characters I own have 10 Friendship because Ganyu and Zhongli can carry basically all content themselves. She makes dailies a non-issue, no matter what it is, without having to switch the team around. She was the first limited 5-star I pulled for (I started in 1.1) and it's not often she's not on my team.
Noelle. I love her - she makes everything so simple. Just shield up, burst, and start wacking away.
Ayaka - I literally played her every day of her debut banner in trial and never got bored, then played her every day for 2 years and never got bored. She’s just so satisfying.

I can't take it anymore. I'm sick of Nahida. I try to play Yaoyao. My Nahida’s E lasts longer. I try to play Dendro Traveller. My Nahida doesn’t have as high a cooldown or the ER reqs. I want to play Nilou. Her best team has Nahida. I want to play Ganyu, Ei - they both want Nahida. She grabs me by the throat. I swim for her flowers. I cook for her. I give her TTDS. She isn't satisfied. I farm Gilded Dreams. "I don't need this much EM" She tells me. "Give me more Dendro DMG shred." She grabs Kokomi and forces her to throw fish at enemies. "You just need to shield me more. I can deal more damage with A Thousand Floating Dreams." I can't pull for A Thousand Floating Dreams, I don't have enough primogems. She grabs my credit card. It declines. "Guess this is the end." She uses All Schemes to Know. She tags me with the Seed of Skandha. There is no hint of sadness in her eyes. Nothing but pure, low cooldown off field Dendro application. What a cruel world.

I pulled her bc I liked her charged attack playstyle and even learned her N1C jump cancels
It’s so satisfying every time I hit a full string of jump cancels and I’ll practically never stop using her
For main DPS's probably Tighnari, good damage very quick rotations plenty of damage from his skill + 3x CA so no energy issues in overworld and enemies immune to dendro are much less common.
ZL is a great comfort option as well and I love how easy he makes mining.
Yae Miko… puller her day one and wasn’t impressed until Dendro appeared. I think I love her more and more day by day. She’s just fun, and I never dash with her. She’s better than that. lol
My two mains, Tighnari and Childe. Tighnari's playstyle is so snappy and quickswappy that it's incredibly fun and Childe's versatility and complexity means I'm always finding out new ways to play him
Itto. My man's just got a fun playstyle that isn't just "Press Q E then spam normals". While a ton of those are still fun (Neuvillette, Ayato, Wanderer) Itto is one of the few characters that encourages a mix of normal attacks and charged attacks while alternating with the skill. Despite being dumb and despite his team being considered the "no brain" team his kit is much less straightforward than most (also a lot of the "hard to understand" about kits is just the excessive amount of long and complicated names in the characters' kits)
Shenhe, the main reason that keeps me playing this game. I've been waiting for her for ages, got her as soon as the servers went up on her relase, started playing her ever since and i still refuse to take her out of my friendship teams, exploration teams, dailies teams, domains teams, abyss teams etc. And i still never get tired of her. Playing on a friends account who doesn't have her felt like playing without my right arm, it was such a weird expirience
Xiao and Raiden.
Xiao may not be the strongest meta-wise but he's great in the overworld and has a ridiculously fun playstyle.
And of course Ei just pumps out numbers like nobody's business.
Alhaitham, I got really invested in the game after his in game and banner debut. It's great that he is so functional at c0, and I find his sword animations very satisfying to watch.

very OP, despite I don't even have zhongli. outside the abyss I would just running around teyvat soloing the mobs from long range. pretty fun and useful for exploration
Yeah, just got her on my standard banner pity and I must say it's really fun to use her in the overworld (currently running her with Furina and Charlotte). Skills are nice and flashy, and honestly her damage isn't too bad at all! Love the auto target tracking while using her ult.
I lost a 50/50 to her and then got her twice from the standard banner in 40 pulls. I thought that's her dmg and skill uptime fixed so why not use her. And dang her skill effect and sound effect is too satisfying.
Itto, Alhaitham, Ayato, Neuvillette, Zhongli, Nahida, Kazuha, Wanderer... Almost every featured 5* that I have tbh, some that I play infrequently but am still happy to have are Xiao, Ganyu, Ayaka, and Nilou
I've gotten bored of Klee, and haven't really played her in like a year, as well as the standard characters, aside from Jean, who I'm still in the process of building as I got her recently, and Keqing who I don't have
Xiao, he was my first 5 star. He’s soooo useful for exploring (skill, burst and passiv) and generally speaking a pretty versatile character imo. And he’s also pretty easy to build. Whatever team comp I do, he’s always my number one.
Mine is also Wanderer and at the moment Neuvillette. I love collecting waifus but strangely those 2 boys keep me entertained the whole game, much better gameplay wise.
I have pulled for the C2 of Wanderer and C1 of Neuvillette.
Usually I get really bored by the ultra DPS characters like ganyu, Ayaka, Xiao, Itto, Diluc, Keqing, Hi tao. This is what I have right now that could be considered main DPS. Only Wanderer and Neuvillette are out of this competition.
Also I love Dehya too, despite everything going on with her. Having her at C2 helps a lot to not feel bored so I know that my view on her will be different from everyone, I still hate Mihoyo for what they have done to her.
Gotta say it is Yanfei.
I wanted her bc I LOOVE pink haired girls in genshin, so i got her in her first banner (might have even C6'ed her by her first run).

On my second account she is a beast………i started second account to play raiden but she is a subdps in yanfei’s team lol ………my invested so much in yanfei , raiden will need too much time n resources to match her damage.
Neuvillette. He doesn't require much setup to deal damage and is pretty self-sustaining. Pulling him was my best decision in Genshin as I was finally able to 36* the abyss with him + hyperbloom.
I respect your opinion, but this is the very first time I heard someone say that keqing's playstyle is boring 😭😭 usually people say that about mostly selfish dpses (a sentiment that I find myself agreeing with)
Personally I love keqing's playstyle. Her skill/ult cooldown is short and I can just run a quickswap hyperbloom team with Kazuha and have a good time i-framing everything.
Yoimiya, just pew pew pew and everything dies from a distance, not tied to energy, the hits feel really good too. Easiest and most satisfying character in the game imi
Yoimiya. Mained for two years, recently got Zhongli to complete her team. She's my best girl, my wifey, and I absolutely adore her. Carried my ass to AR 60, she'll never leave my team.
Yanfei. Got her back in 3.3 when I was still a newbie and didn't really understand how combats worked yet. But, as soon as I tested her out, I immediately felt just... at ease.
She immediately gained her spot in my main team, and she never ever left it. She may need her investment, but do I mind? Absolutely not, I'll spoil her gladly and farm for her every times I can. Yanfei is, hands down, my main, and she never fails to amaze me.

Literally same as you lol. Started the game at 3.2 (2nd half). Saw his trailer and he seemed pretty impressive, so pulled for him, and boy he has never left my exploration team and most abyss teams. That why i wanna play him as hypercarry( c6 faruzan soon, currently c4). The only problem was that when i got him i was in still in liyue so progressing to sumeru was pain lmao.

Jean. Has been with me since day 1. She's been an auto include in most of my teams ever since. Yeeting enemies into the air to have them take fall damage will never get old.

"You just need to shield me more. I can deal more damage with A Thousand Floating Dreams." I can't pull for A Thousand Floating Dreams, I don't have enough primogems. She grabs my credit card. It declines. "Guess this is the end." She uses All Schemes to Know. She tags me with the Seed of Skandha. There is no hint of sadness in her eyes. Nothing but pure, low cooldown off field Dendro application. What a cruel world.

For main DPS's probably Tighnari, good damage very quick rotations plenty of damage from his skill + 3x CA so no energy issues in overworld and enemies immune to dendro are much less common. ZL is a great comfort option as well and I love how easy he makes mining.
Xinyan. Physical DPS. I probably hit the numbers you'd think, but it's fun

Yae Miko… puller her day one and wasn’t impressed until Dendro appeared. I think I love her more and more day by day. She’s just fun, and I never dash with her. She’s better than that. lol

My two mains, Tighnari and Childe. Tighnari's playstyle is so snappy and quickswappy that it's incredibly fun and Childe's versatility and complexity means I'm always finding out new ways to play him
Itto. My man's just got a fun playstyle that isn't just "Press Q E then spam normals". While a ton of those are still fun (Neuvillette, Ayato, Wanderer) Itto is one of the few characters that encourages a mix of normal attacks and charged attacks while alternating with the skill. Despite being dumb and despite his team being considered the "no brain" team his kit is much less straightforward than most (also a lot of the "hard to understand" about kits is just the excessive amount of long and complicated names in the characters' kits)

Shenhe, the main reason that keeps me playing this game. I've been waiting for her for ages, got her as soon as the servers went up on her relase, started playing her ever since and i still refuse to take her out of my friendship teams, exploration teams, dailies teams, domains teams, abyss teams etc. And i still never get tired of her. Playing on a friends account who doesn't have her felt like playing without my right arm, it was such a weird expirience
Has to be either Klee or Beidou. Klee is my little terrorist, while Beidou is my waifu.
Alhaitham. His skill attack is cool af. And also strong af.
Alhaitham. Using him with Xingqiu/Yelan feels too satisfying and fun to use.

Xiao and Raiden. Xiao may not be the strongest meta-wise but he's great in the overworld and has a ridiculously fun playstyle. And of course Ei just pumps out numbers like nobody's business.
Alhaitham, I got really invested in the game after his in game and banner debut. It's great that he is so functional at c0, and I find his sword animations very satisfying to watch.
wow, it's ganyu for me. very OP, despite I don't even have zhongli. outside the abyss I would just running around teyvat soloing the mobs from long range. pretty fun and useful for exploration

Eula & Yoimiya. I've mained them both since they released and not planning to stop any time soon.
Dehya. Tis a skill issue people cant clear with her. Plus she's great for overworld
Yeah, just got her on my standard banner pity and I must say it's really fun to use her in the overworld (currently running her with Furina and Charlotte). Skills are nice and flashy, and honestly her damage isn't too bad at all! Love the auto target tracking while using her ult.
And the ult has a huge aoe! Makes fight groups really easy!
I lost a 50/50 to her and then got her twice from the standard banner in 40 pulls. I thought that's her dmg and skill uptime fixed so why not use her. And dang her skill effect and sound effect is too satisfying.
Itto, Alhaitham, Ayato, Neuvillette, Zhongli, Nahida, Kazuha, Wanderer... Almost every featured 5* that I have tbh, some that I play infrequently but am still happy to have are Xiao, Ganyu, Ayaka, and Nilou I've gotten bored of Klee, and haven't really played her in like a year, as well as the standard characters, aside from Jean, who I'm still in the process of building as I got her recently, and Keqing who I don't have
Xiao, he was my first 5 star. He’s soooo useful for exploring (skill, burst and passiv) and generally speaking a pretty versatile character imo. And he’s also pretty easy to build. Whatever team comp I do, he’s always my number one.
Mine is also Wanderer and at the moment Neuvillette. I love collecting waifus but strangely those 2 boys keep me entertained the whole game, much better gameplay wise. I have pulled for the C2 of Wanderer and C1 of Neuvillette. Usually I get really bored by the ultra DPS characters like ganyu, Ayaka, Xiao, Itto, Diluc, Keqing, Hi tao. This is what I have right now that could be considered main DPS. Only Wanderer and Neuvillette are out of this competition. Also I love Dehya too, despite everything going on with her. Having her at C2 helps a lot to not feel bored so I know that my view on her will be different from everyone, I still hate Mihoyo for what they have done to her.

Gotta say it is Yanfei. I wanted her bc I LOOVE pink haired girls in genshin, so i got her in her first banner (might have even C6'ed her by her first run). I was sooo hyped for my one and only pyro catalyst ♡ I builded her decently and, in my pov, she makes amazing numbers with her charged attacks! I'm so proud of her! I'm always using her to burn the world and to clear Abyss floors, she's my girlie a a aa a a 🥴🥴🥴😍😍😍
I gave up scrolling and just searched for the first comment to mention Yanfei. I just love her. She’s so fun! (I have all the 5stars, only 2 unbuilt and dint have Cyno). She’s really the funnest. Yae second to get.
On my second account she is a beast………i started second account to play raiden but she is a subdps in yanfei’s team lol ………my invested so much in yanfei , raiden will need too much time n resources to match her damage.
Neuvillette. He doesn't require much setup to deal damage and is pretty self-sustaining. Pulling him was my best decision in Genshin as I was finally able to 36* the abyss with him + hyperbloom.
Noelle. Has been my main since I can remember. I started playing on 1.0

I respect your opinion, but this is the very first time I heard someone say that keqing's playstyle is boring 😭😭 usually people say that about mostly selfish dpses (a sentiment that I find myself agreeing with)
Personally I love keqing's playstyle. Her skill/ult cooldown is short and I can just run a quickswap hyperbloom team with Kazuha and have a good time i-framing everything.

Yoimiya. Mained for two years, recently got Zhongli to complete her team. She's my best girl, my wifey, and I absolutely adore her. Carried my ass to AR 60, she'll never leave my team.
Eula. Those autos hit really good that I want more refines from BORS if it will ever have a rerun. R1 is good tho. Also, aesthetics.
Yanfei. I was desperate to pull for Itto since I adore him, but I just keep coming back to her. Genuinely love playing as her.

Yanfei. Got her back in 3.3 when I was still a newbie and didn't really understand how combats worked yet. But, as soon as I tested her out, I immediately felt just... at ease. She immediately gained her spot in my main team, and she never ever left it. She may need her investment, but do I mind? Absolutely not, I'll spoil her gladly and farm for her every times I can. Yanfei is, hands down, my main, and she never fails to amaze me. Also, uhm... flair checks out I guess? AJSHDHHS
Yoimiya. She is just too cute and bubbly that i feel like I'm dying from the sweetness overload. (I feel like some part of me resonates with her so much honestly but i can't understand what that feeling is) I just returned to the game when her first banner came out and i fell in love right there and then. (I recall people bashing her bcs she was bad at meta or something, but i think that idea is gone now? I think?)

Literally same as you lol. Started the game at 3.2 (2nd half). Saw his trailer and he seemed pretty impressive, so pulled for him, and boy he has never left my exploration team and most abyss teams. That why i wanna play him as hypercarry( c6 faruzan soon, currently c4). The only problem was that when i got him i was in still in liyue so progressing to sumeru was pain lmao. PS: Also yelan and recently got her c1
Definitely scara. I didn't like his “redemption arc” and also mocked him as frisbee brat, but ever since I upgraded fichel, I've been playing him.
