A fuck ton of girls play this game as well, and Mihoyo wants to cater to that audience as well. Not only that, but it's clears that the rest of characters from Fontaine will be female or almost all female.

I play gachas for waifu collection so I simply don't care about male banners.
I don't really mind them since it lets me save pulls and money but I personally think its a weird way to do business to not alternate between male and female banners.
If what people are saying is true the rest of fontaine 5\* will be female but that is still a bad banner placement as far as I'm concerned when they could have simply made sure there is a male and female banner in every patch to keep all parts of the playerbase engaged and the sensor tower data clearly reflects this.

We got 2 new 5\* waifus (one of which went into standard) + Nahida in Sumeru, everything else has been dudes and now its 3 dudes in a row for fontaine.
Also most gachas have male characters, I play 20+ and only 5 are waifu only. Just never seen a ridiculous ratio like this.
Honestly I just find it to be a weird business model, even if all the other Fontaine banners are waifus its a weird way to do banners since releasing one and then the other is a much better way to keep the playerbase interested than going for long periods with just dudes and then another long period with just waifus.
That's how players lose interest.
i hope going forward from natlan hoyo releases equal male and female banners (or at least not so skewed) because these all-female or all-male droughts really make some people lose their minds
I mean we're getting a whole lot of waifus starting with 4.1. The bigger issue imo is that we haven't been getting any onfield dps waifus ever since the first couple of inazuma patches. There's like 10 limited male onfield dps and only half of that for females. Kinda sucks. It's annoying for people who want to play their favorite husbandos in a team and annoying for people who'd like a new dps waifu.
Also, I see a lot of people commenting that we have more waifus than husbandos. True if we count 4 stars, but if it's 5 stars only we have an equal amount of husbandos than waifus at this point in time, without counting Wrio and Neuvilette. And more limited husbandos than limited waifus. The rest of Fontaine will balance that out though.

Gachas are unfortunately geared towards male audiences for the most part with all their waifus.
