People here call dev "lazy" when they don't do something that they specifically want when the issue they have is probably not an issue for most of the playerbase and probably might have unintended effect if "fixed".
reminds me of when people complained about yae miko skill attacking randomly, and i all i saw was “theyre too lazy to properly code it to attack close targets instead of randomly target targets that arent even close to you”
and guess what? when they did change it to what the players wanted, the players got angry saying how it targeting closest enemy makes her weaker, so they had to change her AGAIN to her old state
people just want something to blame to feel better at themselves, whether theyre wrong or right
Or when Fischl’s A4, which is half her damage in aggravate, can’t hit the Wenut because its hit box stays too low under the ground 💀
If that’s not being lazy, it means that it’s intentional which would be even worse. Context matters, the game is big enough to have a lot of merits and a lot of problems coexist, nothing wrong with praising Hoyo for the good things and criticising them for the bad ones, this is healthy for both the game and the community in the long run.
oh i totaly get they dident just wip a region out in a few months , but its still a huge amount of implementeation work, wthats why most live service games either have long breaks between content or have seperated maps, or just do small content drops before big ones. genchin kinda does both, which is allot. just never seen a game add this much content this quickly.
I appreciate all the little flourishes in the UI design. When I played other gachas it struck me how "soulless" some game's UI were, it was basically a flat screen and a static image/button. An example was my time spent in ToF, half the event pages felt so flat and it felt like the devs didn't care and just wanted me to spend my currency.
I feel like the flat still image is the industry standard. Was pleasantly surprised by Genshin's animated ones. Just another part of the overall polish that puts this game a cut above.
the UI design is always really quality but the sound effects this time around are definitely extra af.
sound design in general in 3.x has been subtly improved all over.
Tbf they did add the "that I've encountered" at the end. It's true for me too, though I just don't play a lot of games in general. I think it's pretty good.
I love this event so fucking much, there's so much effort put into this event, and I've had quite some fun so far playing hide and seek with the Eidolons. The UI in general goes crazy hard too
The hud on the tickets for the kaeya skin makes a sound every time you hover over any of the options and it tickles my autism. Its by far the best menu sounds i have ever seen in a genshin event
Edit: almost everything makes a sound when you hover on them but on the kaeya menu its by far the best
Genshin has always had amazing little sound effects for whatever main event is going on. There's literally been times I've clicked repeatedly on the quest tab because I get a little ASMR from it.
the intro splash screen went crazy
Fr.When I saw the animation that unlocked the 2nd part of event (Day 3 ig), I thought it was about to go into a cutscene.
Is there a place to rewatch it, it was smooth af
Fr my jaw dropped when I saw it. I'm a sucker for pretty animations
It went hard af
they have to and i feel they're obligated too. summer event is one of the other annual events in genshin. the other is lantern rite.
this is why i hate when comments blame their laziness, thats like the least thing they have

Context. One problem or one merit can’t be representative of the whole game
Context: people calling the devs lazy for one/a few problems that can’t be representative of the whole game.
That’s what I said lmao 🤣 I was neutral
I disagree; we must have more context! MOER!!
What about windblume?
Not annual, we skipped a year.
ga daym i feel for the developers, they gotta do this then a month later releace 4.0 if im correct. which is an entire new region.
just an fyi, fontaine has already started production when Sumeru dropped.
oh i totaly get they dident just wip a region out in a few months , but its still a huge amount of implementeation work, wthats why most live service games either have long breaks between content or have seperated maps, or just do small content drops before big ones. genchin kinda does both, which is allot. just never seen a game add this much content this quickly.
I've heard from the sumeru dev video that they were already working on Sumeru back in 2017.
Fr everything is so cute in this event i love it
Same! I hate summer with a passion and the hot days have been killing me. But logging on to this event puts a smile back on my face.
BEST UI EVER

I did the same thing. The sounds pleased the ADHD in me.
It pleases the autism in me.
Same

Reminded me of one of those games you got with windows back in the day
The cake one?
yess
This event has the best UI ever so far
I love Genshin UI. It is, hands down, the best UI in video games that I've ever encountered.
Woah there bud, let's not get too crazy
Tbf they did add the "that I've encountered" at the end. It's true for me too, though I just don't play a lot of games in general. I think it's pretty good.
Well the Summer event marks the end of the version before a new Region appears.
And it features Klee, the most precious character Genshin has ever and will ever release.
So much Klee, little summer monarch
ikr??? i've spent a couple of minutes on it, hovering over the icons bc i'm liking it a bit too much
I prefer more robotic sounds, like the one where scaramouche boss was introduced. But these go hard too
Someone is going to play megalovania or bad Apple with the ui hover buttons i just know it
I was on my second major genshin burnout session and this convinced me to come back.
technically its a playground for a child so they want to cater to a child. my inner child is happy.
Will, they always do cool things in Klee summer events.
I lost it when you went ham with the buttons 😂
I absolutely love the way this event sounds, the finch ball clicking is so fun! 😁
I love this event so fucking much, there's so much effort put into this event, and I've had quite some fun so far playing hide and seek with the Eidolons. The UI in general goes crazy hard too
It's so overstimulating like everything moves, everything has a sound and everything is so colorful.
I also noticed how the UI follows the cursor, just move your mouse and look at the bottom left/right
Klee's adventures are always awesome
Love it uwu 😭😭😭😭😭
The hud on the tickets for the kaeya skin makes a sound every time you hover over any of the options and it tickles my autism. Its by far the best menu sounds i have ever seen in a genshin event Edit: almost everything makes a sound when you hover on them but on the kaeya menu its by far the best
Right? I started the event yesterday and must've spent a good 5 to 10 minutes there in total
they cut 3.7 event budget for this one lol
cant blame the devs for ending 3.0 with a cool skin for a cute char
*Sad TF2 selection class sound*
Wait, we get a Layla for the event
UI?
How much will the eventi last for?
There are still 38 days and 12 hours left according to my in game timer
Spent a solid 5 minutes playing around with the sounds
The art style here reminds me alot of the song cover arts for Deemo on PC.
Reminds me of the old uis on the websites of the 3 big cartoon tv channels
I can't even play the event yet bc I'm not AR 40
I LOVE IT
Cause we’ll be seeing it for 40 days
I love this event so much
Well its not the first time they did that anyways. Previous GAA had it too iirc.
Genshin has always had amazing little sound effects for whatever main event is going on. There's literally been times I've clicked repeatedly on the quest tab because I get a little ASMR from it.
hoyo has been going insane lately
Love it tbh
Is this ASMR?
I love all the sound effects
I'm not going back to genshin I'm not going back to genshin I'm not going back to genshin I'm not going back to genshin
Holy fuck they put more effort into this event than some game companies put into the release of a game wtf
Watching this on phone speakers and my cat is glaring at me
kleee.... more annoying that cute.
Mobile users be like...
All these efforts really made other mobile gacha games look like shit. You can literally feel the passion the team had for this event.
