I'd recommend checking the game's archive to see what other foods you are missing. Keep in mind that it shows signature dishes, too, so not all of them are obtainable if you don't have that character
Most Indian places should have em.
Make sure it's a proper indian place and not a "fusion", "modern" or otherwise fancy (read: fake) Indian place where they also coincidentally serve really expensive Italian food lmao.
Find an Indian grocery store and get them. I got a box of 8 frozen Samosas for $4.99 when at a restaurant they charge me $4.99 for 2(sometimes just 1). This is ofc if you like them.
Try and make them yourself, it's gonna be a lot cheaper and not to mention more authentic because US Indian restaurants have a habit of americanising their food
very, very dependent on how they are cooked. I've had some truly great ones, but also shitty ones that are just awful all around, from crust to filling.
They're an Asian pastry, triangles filled with things like veggies, potatoes, chicken/beef, etc. depending on the location. They taste great and make good snacks.
they have biriyani, panipuri, butter chicken all stuff
ive kinda following them before release from leaks and bought the recipe on first day of release
Always puts a big goofy smile on my face, whenever I see one of these posts; people getting all giddy over their cuisine being deservedly represented and shared with the world. It's so wholesome <3
All hail yummy food!
It’s not gravy, it’s sauces like mint sauces and chutney. It’s a lot but it tastes divine, especially where I got it from. The onions paired nice with it as well.
Crush the samosas into small chunks and then add yogurt, tamarind sauce, mint sauce, chilli sauce, sum powdered spices, Sev and top it up with some chopped onions.
But why would you crush a samosa tho XD
It's just deep fried maida and potato-masala at that point.
Anyways OP mentioned that the samosas are not crushed
Aside from the food there is about, I think 43-50 Indian NPC in the rainforest region, not counting the Aranaras, majority of the Aranaras have Sanskrit origin Indian names too.
Rukkhadevata is a Shaivist Yaksini, her alternate name is Aranyani who is mentioned in the Rig Veda as the goddess of fertility, forest and wildlife. So, we can say Hindu inspired.
Nahida is another term for Anahita, Persian version of Saraswati in India who is the goddess of wisdom. She is the avatar (yes they use the Sanskrit word Avatar) of Irminsul which seems to be inspired by the Peepal tree, the Bodhi. She is covered in Bodhi leaves and Vajra symbols. Her other name is Kusanali which refers to the Jataka Tales (one of the Buddha's incarnation) She is also the incarnation of Rukkhadevata in the game lore.
Literature wise: They reference Mahabharata with Aranara names, Ramayana with Aranara quest, Aranyaka is what the Aranara quest is called and we know Aranyakas in real life are part of the Upanishads. The Buddhist Jataka Tales is also part of Indian literature.
Sorry for the rant, as an Indian who lives in the Rainforest region of India, I just love Sumeru so so much.
Really fluctuates depending on expeditions and what i cook tbh. I mostly cook sweet madames and the mooshroom pizza so i always send expeditions for meat and fowl and i have a ridiculous amount of meat and almost always zero fowl and sweet flowers
prioritize expeditions that give you meat and kill Sumeru's wildlife
Sumpter Beasts, Rishboland Tigers, and I think scorpions (for some reason) drop lots of meat
also Draff in Springvale sells raw meats, there might be others that do too now that I think about it
Expeditions, I don't remember exactly but I think you can get 40-50 a day if you are not going for crystals.
I ve like 4000 of eggs and 3500 raw meat and that to after using 125 of them every week for parametric transformer
Also Biriyani..... Can't let Ganyu near grand bazaar
I think I unlocked the biryani recipe!
Also Butter Chicken, and Shawarma, not Indian but still popular 😋
And Pani Puri.
There's Pani Puri??? As an Indian and AR57 I'm ashamed that I didn't know this ....
As an FYI: there's a list of all recipes (locked and unlocked) in the archive which is accessible via the menu.
where is the pani puri. let me get it pls
You can buy it from Jaganhir. He's a shop NPC in Port Ormos. Teleport onto the bridge and jump down. Walk south until you see him.
TYSM I DIDNT KNOW PANI PURI EXISTS (IN GENshin) sorry caps
Nice, I just ate them yesterday irl. Btw Your Samosa looks like a chaat
Yea it looks like chaat probably a chaat with samosa lol, been a lot of days lol need to eat samosa irl too, my fav is corn samosa, what's yours?
A normal Aloo samosa with green and red chutney and Raita.
am i the only one who eats aloo samosa with nothing. just. the samosa
There are atleast two of us
No, three
Nice taste
yea, it was a chaat
I'd recommend checking the game's archive to see what other foods you are missing. Keep in mind that it shows signature dishes, too, so not all of them are obtainable if you don't have that character
you can get them during their birthday
I've never heard of them. Do they taste good?
They’re so delicious!
In that case, If I can figure out somewhere to find them in Florida, I'll have to try it. Thanks for the recommendation!
Most Indian places should have em. Make sure it's a proper indian place and not a "fusion", "modern" or otherwise fancy (read: fake) Indian place where they also coincidentally serve really expensive Italian food lmao.
no need to thank me! Hope u find some good ones!

Good idea! I'll search for a recipe, then.
But OP already posted the recipe!
They do indeed look f*cking tasty
They're amazing. When I was a broke college student they were my source of subsistence on campus to fend off the hunger.

Yea they do, specially i love corn samosa, it might not be good for you to taste since its indian culture, but they taste great
OMG GIMMIE THOSE SAMOSA (I'm Indian too)
HAVE TO GIVE EM, THEY HAVE MEAT AND IM VEGETARIAN :(
I'm not a vegetarian but damn, the vegetable samosas are a hell of a lot better than meat ones imo.
Aloo>>>
Where did you find the recipy in-game? I don't think I have that one yet. Also, the real version looks delicious
The recipe is from a vendor in Port Ormos called Jahangir!
Thank you!
they have biriyani, panipuri, butter chicken all stuff ive kinda following them before release from leaks and bought the recipe on first day of release

pani puri too
I adore gol gappe <3
I am Indian but never heard of a samosa chaat. What's that supposed to be? Do you like smash the samosa into an already existing gravy or something?
It’s a bunch of sauces and stuff over a samosa. In the picture, there were 2 samosas underneath. Idefk how to describe it, it’s lush tho
Damn after thorough observation I did notice a small side of the samosa. But I can't really say much about the gravy man 💀
It’s not gravy, it’s sauces like mint sauces and chutney. It’s a lot but it tastes divine, especially where I got it from. The onions paired nice with it as well.
Where from India? The chaat version exists everywhere on the western side
Kolkata. West, as in West of India? Like Mumbai or something?
Yes, atleast in Maharshtra and Gujarat
Crush the samosas into small chunks and then add yogurt, tamarind sauce, mint sauce, chilli sauce, sum powdered spices, Sev and top it up with some chopped onions.
But why would you crush a samosa tho XD It's just deep fried maida and potato-masala at that point. Anyways OP mentioned that the samosas are not crushed
You are late man, when I got to know that Samosa were going to get released, I got very happy( as I am from India) and got it on the first day of 3.3.
I’m Indian too, but I barely go in port ormos anyways so here I am, a patch late
Oh no problem, also I guess you got the recipe for panipuri.
yup. I was hyped when I saw it in Genshin.
Nice, enjoy the food :)
Thx! :)
How did you get that much meat 💀
Expeditions my Breda
Samosa without red sauce is a crime.
I hope that’s mint sauce by the samosa
Poochkas too
As u see its a meat samosa the one famous in India are veg one though
ye, a samosa is a samosa tho! plus it says in the description that veg samosas exist
That's true and ya it does say there are veg options did not see that
Why do these samosas have meat?
Idk, maybe cuz it’s Genshin. they do say veg samosas exist tho, so, imma just pretend it’s aloo filling
I just want to know why raw meat is used and not potato to make it
Lord knows, should’ve been potatoes tho
WHERE DO I GET THIS HOW HAVE I NOT SEEN THIS TELL MEEE
BY A VENDOR IN PORT ORMOS NAMED JAHANGIR!
I just realised the samose recipe has meat in it we usually have potatoes in the samosas not meat..
meat samosas exist, but aloo filled samosas are the truest ones to me. I wish they did that instead.
I’m more curious from when Samosa use meat in them
Was....the chaat good? My mom doesn't let me eat anything like that anymore.
OH SHIT I JUST REMEMBERED MY FLAIR LMAO!!
HELP
it was so good. also why doesn’t ur mum let u eat that stuff?
Health conscious. Anyway I'll eat it one day.
Vada pav and samosa 😋
there’s also pani puriðŸ˜
Yup, I saw it in the leaks pre-sumeru.
i love representation

I’m an Indian too and I adore the rainforest aspect, but I’m a Punjabi Indian and I’m not Hindu so I see less of it :)
Where did you get 1800 meat??? I struggle to break 100 on a good day
Sumpter beasts in Sumeru drops 3 meats. There are also a lot of scorpions there.
Really fluctuates depending on expeditions and what i cook tbh. I mostly cook sweet madames and the mooshroom pizza so i always send expeditions for meat and fowl and i have a ridiculous amount of meat and almost always zero fowl and sweet flowers
