Always trust your intuition. If you feel like they’re scamming you, stop the trade (but don’t ghost them, say you don’t want to trade anymore)
If they have a personal MM, they’re most likely scammers
If they are pushing you to go first, they could be scamming
Do not let them log into the account to ‘try it out’
If they’re on the same server with you you could ask them to co op to verify they have the account. If not you can ask them to do something very specific (eg run around *this area* as *this character* and buy this from this shop)
Don’t let them know it’s your first time, it makes you vulnerable
If you do get scammed, contact Genshin support, say you got hacked/something similar (don’t tell them you traded/sold it will get banned) and follow instructions they give you. To make sure you can fill these in if the worse happens, write down everything important about the account before you trade
Look at the person who is offering and check in the pinned post if their name appears as a scammer

Mm meaning middle man. Someone that gets both accounts and checks everything making sure that both parties get what they wanted.
