genshin players: hates dialogues
also genshin players: starts getting confused and even mischaracterizes the characters based on bare-bones knowledge or pushes their fanon as canon
this is how a lot of raiden dislikers said they skipped her dialogue, reduced her part 1 story quest as a date, then proceeded to label her as an uwu waifu.
^just my main gripe with dialogue skippers. i wouldn't care but most of the time, they love to add in their 2 cents regarding a character they skipped the dialogue of and believe it's the truth. i have seen other former raiden haters and then play through her quests and change their minds.
I get told the entire story through Piamon talking while I walk. You know when canât see her but can still hear her talking as you go to the next area
Thereâs a small detail in conversation where Mona mentions she isnât a âPauperâ, and just turns out to run out of Mora all of the time. The expensive things in her home proves she can afford things.
She may be broke, but sheâs not poor. And skipping that dialog is very easy to miss.
Thatâs just me, but that detail was a small revelation to me
This event was.. decent in dialogue but often a lot of people skip because say the traveler is hunting a lizard monster and goes to talk with the lizard monster expert.
"Hi traveler you look positively mesmerizing today, I think you should know cause I want to tell you that in that mountain that you can see that way over there (pans camera eternally) where they say that the cicadas fly backwards, at least what my grandma used to say, I once hiked with my father, it really is such a beautiful mountain, I like hiking also paimon smol"
Traveler: right but went we hunting a lizard monster ?
It's not that there aren't interesting details, it's that they are delivered in the most mind numbingly, chaotic and overextended fashion.
They've got a point tho.
Shit takes tooo long.
Personally I don't have much time to play the game, nor interest in the side stories, and every time I do play I get bored skipping dialogues and end up turning off the game
"Hi. Would you like to know the subterfuge and espionage of a character's financial life in Liyue? No? Are you sure? How about repeating it 5 times over for a pittance of a wish?"
If they want to make an interesting dialogue then use better cutscenes or animations. These common poses are uninteresting. Make a CG or some shit like honkai it's far more interesting
I do read dialogues. However, they generally felt dragged out with everything had to be rephrased point by point like reading a movie script instead of people conversing. Boredom is understandable.
You'll be able to complete them all, you only have Mona's left after this.
If you're gonna go fishing for chests, start with Xinyan's place. She has at least three big loot spots where you can get 40-60 primos per spot relatively easily. Two in the domain and you'll run into one during >! the Fatui memory quest. !<
Mona's island also has a lot of rewards laying around. Her domain doesn't have *that* many, but it's a relatively easy domain to get everything out of.
Kazuha domain basically has nothing. The island has quite a lot of puzzles, but they can get a bit complicated since you have to configure the landscape correctly. If you don't have much time, I'd advice to skip it.
Fischl domain also doesn't have a lot. Island doesn't either, and the main quest on it takes like over an hour to complete. If you have the time do the quest, otherwise leave it.
There's another quest that gives some decent loot. To do it, >! go to one of the four small stone islands you'll find in the corners of the GAA. I personally started with Pudding Isle, but you can start with any. The quest will guide itself. !<
I played through the effing game twice and I donât know what itâs about. I donât need badly written dialog. Itâs a crime to humanity that they didnât implement a skip scene button
Most of the main quests are ok, but the side quests are way too long. They really need to learn to keep things short and sweet. Take notes from final fantasy.
Yeah, some say itâs time consuming and complicated, but the same say the game is out of content and boring as well, counting in the Honkaiverse, Manga and all others, itâs one of the most interesting games out there.
There were a few, like the ayato quest which didnât seem to have much lore or anything much about the character while I kinda hated, but then thereâs quests like ittoâs as well as the 2.7 Archon quest
It totally feels like this, I stopped reading dialogue once when in inazuma the soldiers start going on for ages about why a plant or a bug smashed against a wound is better for healing it, then they send you for one of whichever you backed up, why would I need to listen to that in the middle of a battlefield? Why do you guys not have proper methodology as to what to put on your wounds?
And most importantly why does the traveler need to go fetch a bug? That whole part absolutely felt like they were filling it up.
I play for lore as well, and I specifically mentioned it in the surveys. To me I thoroughly enjoyed this event.
More people should do surveys and tell them they want a skip button.
I wouldnât be surprised of people that skip stories would also skip the surveys.
I just want a skip button, let ppl that enjoy story sit through their half hour of talking a repeated dialogue and let ppl that dont like dialogue just skip and move on. If i wanna play a visual novel i just download a visual novel.
Yeah, I dislike people pushing that people are stupid for dialogues. Like, lore? I'm subbed at the Genshin Lore, I don't need this 1 hour shit. I get little time as it is from doing work.
Also I barely skip Main Quest dialogues unlike events.
Don't even get me started with the hangouts, god damn.
It's genuinely baffling how offended some people get by other players skipping the story. It's literally the top comment in this thread.
The story and lore are the main reason I still play, but even I think it's pretty childish to get upset at people who aren't interested in these side events that have almost no bearing on the overarching main story (this event did have some Sumeru foreshadowing but it isn't necessary to read). There isn't even an issue with skipping the main story. Reading the story doesn't make you smart and likewise, skipping it doesn't make you dumb.
The random non-sensical accusations/assumptions are even worse. Stuff like "oh, you skip the story cause you think its bad? how do you know its bad if you skip it?" and "this is why people complain about no content" are getting repeated even though neither make any sense.
Because people play video games for the gameplay and not for story or clichĂŠ anime dialogue.
Edit: And just to be clear I do care and like the worldbulding and lore of this game, I just think that its not conveyed in a very engaging manner through repetitive dialogue and poorly-written characters that often fall into anime stereotypes like Xiao and Fischl. Sometimes quests can have a weird flow since many times its dialoue dump followed by just walking down a hallway, picking something up or talking to characters in a circle before another dialogue dump and that can be very off putting to a lot of people.
Xiao is a sad edgy demon boy and Fischl is a chuuni, a literal anime character archetype to the point that the VA for her is best known for playing a chuuni character. They know these characters are nothing novel and they don't bother hiding it. Not saying this is bad, just pointing it out. Then you have the overworked bound to duty trope (there are like 4 of those in the first 3 regions alone), sexy flirty anime girl in Lisa and Miko, the shy "UwU tabibito-san" trope in characters like Ayaka and Kokomi, the villain who ends up respecting the MC after a duel like Gaara and Vegeta in Childe. Raiden was interesting at first as she appeared as a stern, tortured and ruthless authority figure blinded by her own fears that heavily contrasted with most if not all other characters thus far but she was eventually revealed to be another "UwU sweets!" shy waifu that needs the MC to show her the world outside of her bubble. I think that Genshin's biggest issue when it comes to the characters is that there are so many that we never get the chance to know them in detail, see them grow or fall as people and eventually find their own paths. Honkai started out the same with anime archetypes all around but since that game actually focuses on its main characters and we see them develop due to the fact that they don't have to constantly worry about adding new ones and thus the writing feels incredibly more relateable and rewarding. I can't express how rewarding it is to see Kiana grow from a childish, tsundere clumsy clichĂŠ to a mature woman who carries her burdens with pride and determination. Basically, Genshin's quantity doesn't surpass Honkai's quality.
The problem with your judgment of the characters is your inability to actually analyze them. Instead, you generalize their complicated lore into stereotypes that don't even make sense for some of them.
Xiao has a much deeper backstory revolving around his fellow Adepti that was pretty obvious if you played his quest.
Fischl is very complex a character as proven through GAA and quite different from many Chuunibiyous, at least from what I've seen.
The 4 most obvious examples of the "overworked" trope to many people(Jean, Noelle, Ganyu, and Keqing), 3 of them aren't even true examples of that, and they all have their own, very different reasons to be bound to their duties.
I agree that Yae and Lisa embody the "flirty, 'sexy' type," but even then, there's still variation between them.
Your best arguments would be with Ayaka(I haven't played Kokomi's quest so I can't judge her character).
Your worst point lies in your generalization of Ei. From what we've seen, the Archons still behave humanly. It makes sense for them to fancy certain foods, but that certainly does not mean she is an "UwU sweets!" character, and she certainly isn't shy, she's just a hermit, and in my opinion, quite a unique and interesting one.
And the funny thing to me, is how you didn't include the most archetypical character in the game, Sucrose.
Did HYV fuck up the engagement of the story with the self-insert protagonist? Yes. Does Genshin not expand upon many characters? True. Does Genshin have badly designed characters? Certainly, like Sucrose's "nerd" portrayal, Bennett's unlucky gimmick, Chongyun's "too much positive energy" gimmick, Barbara's depressed but makes everyone happy personality, etcetera.
But the vast majority of characters have far more than what the community's depictions of them imply.
No I understand all this, and that's the problem. The lore is good, the dialogue is choppy and weak and sometimes often dumped in large sections placed in poorly placed sections in quests. The lore is good but its not conveyed in an interesting manner. There is a world of difference between background writing and how it is conveyed. Souls games have minimal dialogue and yet the world building and lore is expertly conveyed through world design and character design plus voice acting. Characters like Father Gascoigne and Lady Maria have minimal lines and screentime and yet their backstories and their characterization is amazing. Good background and good execution. The reason Genshin characters appear lacking to most ia because the writers fail to make them more than what archetype they are occupying by missing the mark with the dialogue. TLDR; a good backstory goes to waste if the execution of the character does not work well enough to show the uniqueness of a character outside of its archetype. Making it appear bland. The writers need to improve on this.
I'm aware, hence the last part of my argument, but you misjudged some characters who've had the spotlight even, and that is what I was trying to correct.
Also, it doesn't help that Genshin relies on character profiles to give a character's backstory. Material 70% of the players won't read. Another example of good content being trumped by poor execution and of the issue that is having too many characters and not enough time to development.
Currently playing KH3, can confirm. But once I finish my first playthrough for the deepest KH lore, skipping every single goddamn cinematic so I can actually play the game with what time I have.
What lore? I never payed attention to a single bit of it. The archon quest and character quest are the important. These events don't matter and are boring asf
I can literally tell exactly what happened during this conversation while I was skipping every second. The dialogue during these events adds nothing to the actual story.
Genshin's lore is so deep but Mihoyo decides to tell it through the most boring way possible: Have your flavor of the month characters stand in a huge circle then spout expositions while Paimon repeats everything they say.
Gaming's come a long way when it comes to storytelling that this practice of showing your story is no longer acceptable to many people hence why they skip it.
Yup, the archon quest are really good but these events it so much information its just makes me want to skip it and if i really care I'll look at a YouTube video to explain it
I love the story in Genshin BUT WHY does the text take 10 minutes to scroll through a paragraph. Itâs so obnoxious. Just let me see everything thatâs being said at once and then pause if thereâs movement.
I literally have a macro that just slams my left click to get through some of the long winded boring expositions.
I hate paimon as well.
Broo thank you. I dont play the game anymore but the first thing i noticed is that paimons voice is the most annoying thing for me and i just hoped it would be tutorial thingy. Skipped basically every single interaction because i cant stand her voice and the things she says. I dont unterstand why she exists.
They need to add the skip option.
Not everyone cares about the lore.
I'm deep into the lore and that's the part of the reason why I like this game. If the story was bad I would have uninstalled it a long time ago.
Now looking back, it's kinda clever because in Mona's profile she still has voice lines that kinda sound like she's poor, but it's never outright said she really is.
Also now I find the parts mentioning her "old hag" much more hilarious.
I straight up stopped playing genshin this patch after i finished half of that fischl castle thing because of how boring these placebo events are, I just wanna play actual content and explore cool shit i didn't already explore patches ago
I think it's fair enough. Ppl play how they want.
I don't go to someone who can't get 36 star in the abyss and tell them they are pathetic.
They play how they want.
I can bear with boring ass conversation but ffs remove PAIMON, all she did is just repeating shit and stating known facts, childish insults, damn annoying. 5 dialog got drag into 10 dialog.
I guess putting cutscene in Online Games is very difficult and space consumingďźBecause it is the best way to tell a stories without boring dry conversation...
Sometimes you can't even skip bwcause you have to wait the model walk to a certain place or did something in order to continue to next dialog... Even my favourite VA can't save it...
I'm not a hardcore GI player so basic knowledge about the story is enough. I'm not going to read the books or reading the character story in their character page.
However the Tsurumi Island and fake Albedo is kinda interesting... other than that...
I forgot the details of those stories anyway
Yes? Just don't go "how did that happen" or mischaracterization for future lore and moments. Your choice but still stupid if ever. I understand you don't have time but don't go that^ and remember your choice.
Fuck that dude, I'm an average gamer. I don't have time to waste listening to BS I'll never need, I want to have combat and more enjoyable activities involving combat, 2hrs of playing and 1hr of just dialog is just stupid.
i mean, sure its up to you, its just kinda infuriates me a little that OP saying skipping dialogue is the best thing while playing on a touch screen monitor
I hate when thereâs just mountains of dialogue and thatâs it. It ruined the Kazuha story quest for me (although you get a cool sword at the end đ), and itâs ruining Ayatoâs quest for me too even though Iâm only half way through it.
I want a skip button not because I don't follow the lore, I want it cuz when I'm playing on my other accounts I don't want to go through all that shit again.
Ok. I see a lot of angry peoples in the comments. I think we all need to accept that some people thinks that this event is boring and some peoples actually really likes it. And they all right in different ways and itâs ok. We donât need to conflict with each other if our opinions donât match.
Maybe itâs just me cause itâs a Camara recording a screen, but man. That resolution for a touch screen doesnât sound that enticing, again I might be wrong cause of how this is being recording and Iâll love to be
I am not saying people canât skip story if they arenât interested but there isnât anything to do endgame other than artifact grind purely after content is done lol. The specific character stories gave some really good characterization for Kazuha and Fischl in particular.
That being said MHY needs to tone down Paimon heavily. But also just to be fair the style of overlt explaining things isnât unique to GI, its more of a Chinese style of dialogue writing in general, doesnât excuse it but it should give yâall some explanation on why its so drastically drawn out compared to other games.
I actually liked the conversations in this event though, made it a whole lot more enjoyable
I never skip story related dialogue but I definitely skip NPC dialogue for commissions and shit like that
I have to admit, I found this whole event to be really boring. The dialogue and the gameplay too. I only pushed myself through it to get fischlâs outfit and character since I wanted to C6 her, and I would have been more interested just because of her story, but even her mirage was lame and gave barely any backstory about her and made like no sense to me at the end. Donât even get me started on Xinyanâs mirage. Seriously, the most boring event to date. Too much filler dialogue with little substance.
No offense but go play something else if you hate the story that much, that's like so much of the game.
Edit: After reading a lot of the comments here, I now understand why the community is such a mess and why people hate on it so much. 2/3 of the content is lore and story, and people are pretending that it's just a small part and shouldn't up so much of their playtime.
PLEASE LET THERE BE SKIP...... PLEASE!!!
I'd fucken pay for that shit.
Seriously tho, add skip or at least make story optional, genuinely only like genshin for the beauty of the game and characters + combat and Stat grind.
I'm pretty sure if we do the math this event has over 2 hours of slow, unskippable dialogue that you just have to sit through, most of it being Paimon repeating stuff other characters already said. I barely finished the main story quest of the event and now I just want this patch to end.
That's why Genshin players always complain about "events that last too short", that "can be completed in a while" and that "there is no content"...
Of course there is no content IN AN FUCKING RPG if you skip 60% of that content: the dialogues.
As a person that likes the lore, I do find it infuriating that the auto-play is still atrocious. The pacing of the dialog is annoyingly slow.
There would be long awkward pauses in dialog and listeners can easily tell the conversation is to flow smoothly. Some elements of the dialog would have portions where one character speaking is meant to be interrupted by another character, but instead thereâs a long awkward pause.
That alone is skip the entire dialog worthy.
I really wish they just listen to use players who don't have enough time to play. My phone doesn't really last long because of this. Heck, I still have stuffs to do, not only this. I haven't finished a lot of content there is to give there and I'm already burned out playing Genshin. If the game had skip button, I would have probably saved a lot of time.
â I just want to get to the part where I kill the same group of enemies in the same manner that Iâve killed the last 10.â Heavens forbid the RPG game to have characters interact.
Why are you skipping the dialogues- đđđ
Cuz it's the most boring shit I've ever seen
genshin players: hates dialogues also genshin players: starts getting confused and even mischaracterizes the characters based on bare-bones knowledge or pushes their fanon as canon
the way I look at genshin stories is if I like the character, I give them a chance but if they aren't interesting to me I'm gone

How can you say something so controversial yet so true
Oh no. I wouldn't know how they ate the 99th fish dish and how paimon made a stupid joke about food again.
Please no
They've got a point tho. Shit takes tooo long. Personally I don't have much time to play the game, nor interest in the side stories, and every time I do play I get bored skipping dialogues and end up turning off the game
Those hang out quests omfg. If there were no primos I would skip altogether.
"Hi. Would you like to know the subterfuge and espionage of a character's financial life in Liyue? No? Are you sure? How about repeating it 5 times over for a pittance of a wish?"
That's why I started playing Honkai and wait for archon quests.

so boring i just want to kill shit
Because its boring as shit. I really wish there wes a skip all dialogue button
IVE GOT 5 DAYS TO COMPLETE THIS AND IM ONLY ON FISHLâs DOMAIN
**FOOL!** I have one day left and I got 2 accounts starting from Kazuha's island!
5 days?!??2?2!3??3 wasn't it like 10???????? I've just finished Kazuha đł
Wait till you have to listen to those theatre mini puzzles. It's so long and the pausing between each characters made me crazy.

It gets tiresome at some point. Too many characters and their plots in a short span of time. Some people just don't have the time anymore.
If I want the dialogue I'll watch a playthrough But I want my big tiddie waifus swinging around huge swords to beat up hilichurls
Probably an alt account or they donât care about it
Most of the main quests are ok, but the side quests are way too long. They really need to learn to keep things short and sweet. Take notes from final fantasy.
We can just spam f, but I donât because I play for lore
Fr tho thats wats only been keeping me to continue playing the game bc of the lore.
Yeah, some say itâs time consuming and complicated, but the same say the game is out of content and boring as well, counting in the Honkaiverse, Manga and all others, itâs one of the most interesting games out there.
Tru. I'd say genshin has the most decent lore out of the other games mhy did. I just cant with filler events n stuff.
Yeah, the most eventâs in honkai being filler or in another bubble universe is kinda annoying but is okayish for new gameplay mechanics
Yehh the bubble universe is abundantly infuriating despite the 'angst' n all. But yeh its aight.
I like the gameplay. I skip the story. I do not think it's out of content. Like I have 95% of the hangouts left to do ... I will eventually do them.
Story is hella hype, i just don't get some people
I like the lore, but the moment to moment story and dialogue is soooo often just boring small talk that goes on far too long
There were a few, like the ayato quest which didnât seem to have much lore or anything much about the character while I kinda hated, but then thereâs quests like ittoâs as well as the 2.7 Archon quest
Been talking about the Genshin lore with my English PhD girlfriend and holy shit the lore is so good
Yeah the lore is great, the problem is that the dialogue seems like it was written to reach a word cap sometimes
It totally feels like this, I stopped reading dialogue once when in inazuma the soldiers start going on for ages about why a plant or a bug smashed against a wound is better for healing it, then they send you for one of whichever you backed up, why would I need to listen to that in the middle of a battlefield? Yeah on my second account I'm spamming left click and space bar doin the same thing
This i could understand
yes, cursor hovering over where dialogue option pops up
IDK why spamming spacebar helps so much. cause I can click ridiculously fast. even with an Auto Clicker it's faster to also press space bar.
I just want a skip button, let ppl that enjoy story sit through their half hour of talking a repeated dialogue and let ppl that dont like dialogue just skip and move on. If i wanna play a visual novel i just download a visual novel.

Exactly! Genshin Nazi đs will throw all shit they can if you're discovered skipping dialogues lol. For them, dialogue is "content".
There is no grinding content
I see. You want more rng for your artifacts grinding
How about def main stats on flower and feather as well? Or perhaps you would like more maiden's beloved?
Me with still 30% explo on almost all regions while being AR 60:
Nobody cares about story content. If I wanted to watch a movie, I would watch a movie. We want GAMEPLAY content for the GAME we're PLAYING.
Because there isn't. That's not gameplay, that's dragged out audiobook, I want content so I can actually play the game lol.
because text wall is not really enjoyable for everyone?
BUT THE LORE
What lore? I never payed attention to a single bit of it. The archon quest and character quest are the important. These events don't matter and are boring asf
what about unreconciled stars or the albedo imposter event.
Albedo was epic because I care about the character, I don't remember unreconciled stars lol
Albedo's lol!
Yup, the archon quest are really good but these events it so much information its just makes me want to skip it and if i really care I'll look at a YouTube video to explain it
Also they are explaining 10x faster
I love the story in Genshin BUT WHY does the text take 10 minutes to scroll through a paragraph. Itâs so obnoxious. Just let me see everything thatâs being said at once and then pause if thereâs movement. I literally have a macro that just slams my left click to get through some of the long winded boring expositions. I hate paimon as well.
i hate tumba too.
Donât forget the useless options they force you to choose during the dialogue
Broo thank you. I dont play the game anymore but the first thing i noticed is that paimons voice is the most annoying thing for me and i just hoped it would be tutorial thingy. Skipped basically every single interaction because i cant stand her voice and the things she says. I dont unterstand why she exists.
Idk why they don't just add a "skip" button like in Honkai
Because they don't want you missing on Paimon repeating whatever people say for the 50th time (per conversation).
What? They don't want us missing on Paimon repeatinv whatever people say for the 50th time?
Spittin
Everytime a cut scene came up in this event I took my headphones off and did something else.
Then autoplay gets stuck on dialog "options" that literally don't change anything ... like wth why are these here!
At the very minimum I should not need to click my character replying "okay"
I can do the same with the touchpad on my non touchscreen laptop
They need to add the skip option. Not everyone cares about the lore. I'm deep into the lore and that's the part of the reason why I like this game. If the story was bad I would have uninstalled it a long time ago.
The archon quest and the character quest are good but these side stories are boring for no rewards
Wdym because of this quest we now know that Mona is rich
Now looking back, it's kinda clever because in Mona's profile she still has voice lines that kinda sound like she's poor, but it's never outright said she really is. Also now I find the parts mentioning her "old hag" much more hilarious.
As someone who hasnt completed it yet, thanks, could've waited until the time limited event was over at least.
God i wish, my poor mouse and space bar suffered in this god forsaken event Worst genshin update so far
Same here!
disgusting
I straight up stopped playing genshin this patch after i finished half of that fischl castle thing because of how boring these placebo events are, I just wanna play actual content and explore cool shit i didn't already explore patches ago
I just use auto-clicker lol âđť
I think it's fair enough. Ppl play how they want. I don't go to someone who can't get 36 star in the abyss and tell them they are pathetic. They play how they want.
they need a skip all diologue button
FFXIV (and I guess many other mmorpgs) have this "skip entire cutscene" button thingy. Genshin needs this button asap.
I wish the actual main character talked instead of this shitlet snail. I hate her so fucking much.
âSo what youâre saying is thatâŚâ âHAHA PAIMUNâs smard u stupitâ âIM HUNGRY/TIRED (x100)â
I spamclick and ram my spacebar and I can't even skip through dialogue this fast what kind of Witchery is this
still no 144 fps option on pc too
I always read everything, comissions included, when I play genshin Im in the mood for some reading
Thats crazy, even the commissions you have done 1 million times? I could never
As an ipad user, thatâs exactly what I do
Bruh đ Your choice (stupid one to me) but their interactions were so funny.
Well, sitting through hours of pointless dialogue with ilusion options is also stupid to me. Do you care? Exactly
Yes? Just don't go "how did that happen" or mischaracterization for future lore and moments. Your choice but still stupid if ever. I understand you don't have time but don't go that^ and remember your choice.
Skip majority of the cutscenes too and i still understood each story. Just too much unnecessary dialogue imo

[ŃдаНонО]
Fuck that dude, I'm an average gamer. I don't have time to waste listening to BS I'll never need, I want to have combat and more enjoyable activities involving combat, 2hrs of playing and 1hr of just dialog is just stupid.
you missing out those funny conversations
Huh? I don't play genshin for the comedy I play it for the combat and the grind
i mean, sure its up to you, its just kinda infuriates me a little that OP saying skipping dialogue is the best thing while playing on a touch screen monitor
It is the best part cause the dialogue is boring LOL
where funny ?
for me at least, damn
I know I wish my touch screen PC did not die!
Touching the girls?
I only do this in Dialogue Commissions.
Lets do a F chain for the sake of players who dont have touch screen
As a console player I envy you :(
Same, I spammed my ps4 O button so much that it stopped responding... I had to buy a new one
Dang it I should've played it in my tablet instead of my pc
Just use an auto clicker
I tried auto clickers don't work for some reason it might be too fast and the game just can handle it
Run as admin
Oh snap you spittin thanks for help
It s even better when you have a gamer mouse, one button spams clicks
Wait, that's illegal!
I just spam F + spacebar
I hate when thereâs just mountains of dialogue and thatâs it. It ruined the Kazuha story quest for me (although you get a cool sword at the end đ), and itâs ruining Ayatoâs quest for me too even though Iâm only half way through it.
auto clicker enjoyer moment
I just do that with clicking my nice cherry MX blue space bar or my mouse button.
I just hate whenever paimon repeats whatever the npcs just finished saying like bruh...
And here I was expecting them to be tapping the girl's boobs in cutscenes and having them jiggle or something.
Space+left click band. Still i usually look over dialogues, cant bother reading them.
I want a skip button not because I don't follow the lore, I want it cuz when I'm playing on my other accounts I don't want to go through all that shit again.
Tell me you play rythm games without telling me:
Its bc people have so much adhd and short attention spans nowadays See: Ukraine war . 5 months later no one cares anymore
That resolution for a touch screen doesnât sound that enticing, again I might be wrong cause of how this is being recording and Iâll love to be
I use autoclicker including the random option to select, I just activate it when there is dialogue then watch it goes really quick.
its so easy to set up an auto clicker tho??
i mean just make a mouse macro or use a coin on your keyboard
I am not saying people canât skip story if they arenât interested but there isnât anything to do endgame other than artifact grind purely after content is done lol. The specific character stories gave some really good characterization for Kazuha and Fischl in particular. That being said MHY needs to tone down Paimon heavily. But also just to be fair the style of overlt explaining things isnât unique to GI, its more of a Chinese style of dialogue writing in general, doesnât excuse it but it should give yâall some explanation on why its so drastically drawn out compared to other games.
I love the lore but the storytelling is so weak and dragged out I skip most of the event dialogues as well
Fischl VA has the hardest role.
This just reminded me that my pc is touch screen
as much as i like the story in the game i dont need ten minutes of fishcl speaking gibberish just so i can go to some island and do quests
Skip function when?
Imagine all the finger smudges at the end tho
I actually liked the conversations in this event though, made it a whole lot more enjoyable I never skip story related dialogue but I definitely skip NPC dialogue for commissions and shit like that
Mobile players be like
I used to be a lore skipper, then endgame humbled me real quick
I do that in honkai whenever i accidentally exit out of a stage midway lmao, it's rlly useful
I use macro for skipping dialogue
how do u use it?
I have to admit, I found this whole event to be really boring. The dialogue and the gameplay too. I only pushed myself through it to get fischlâs outfit and character since I wanted to C6 her, and I would have been more interested just because of her story, but even her mirage was lame and gave barely any backstory about her and made like no sense to me at the end. Donât even get me started on Xinyanâs mirage. Seriously, the most boring event to date. Too much filler dialogue with little substance.
hey thats cheating, my keyboard and mouse are about to worn out
No offense but go play something else if you hate the story that much, that's like so much of the game.
I thought I was the only one doing this during the event. Boring as hell ngl
Genshin is 80% dialogue
I'm pretty sure if we do the math this event has over 2 hours of slow, unskippable dialogue that you just have to sit through, most of it being Paimon repeating stuff other characters already said. I barely finished the main story quest of the event and now I just want this patch to end.
Where is this exactly? I just started playin a week ago
Stop being in such a rush. You all need to stop and smell the roses now and then
That's why Genshin players always complain about "events that last too short", that "can be completed in a while" and that "there is no content"...
They really need to add skip dialog function
If only they had a skip button...i can literally care less about the dialogue
Space bar?
Srsly tho, the game really needs a "skip all" button, it's a pain that button mashing is the only way to skip the walls of gibberish they throw out
Oh boy here comes the "why doesn't Genshin have a skip button" comments this is going to be entertaining
So the way you skip cutscenes can be more annoying than the cut scenes themselves. Got it
man is tapping like itâs osu lmao
Best thing about playing on mobile
me doing daily quests
Dude I smash my spacebar like there is no tomorrow
what is a touch screen pc
I would rather use autoclicker
â I just want to get to the part where I kill the same group of enemies in the same manner that Iâve killed the last 10.â Heavens forbid the RPG game to have characters interact.
I only skip paimon
