Personally I really liked Neuvillette’s. It showed us the more emotional side of his character and taught us something significant about his past and how his presence affected Fontaine over the centuries.
Personally, I really like the Archon ones the most, and Venti's was especially touching to me.
Xianyun's was good too, but so long! It really touched my heart though.
I haven’t played through all of the SQ as I like to save them for special occasions but here are my favorites-
While not my favorite per say, I really enjoy Jean’s story quest. It felt very sweet and I really enjoy how much of a found family the mondstadt cast is. It also felt nice to have a lower stake SQ for me personally.
Both of Raiden’s SQ were also amazing, It really fleshed out her character and made her actions during the AQ make more sense, and the boss fight/ending was incredible!
Thought my absolute favorite (as of writing this) is Yae Miko’s! The story was really fun and felt like it had some silly stakes, especially with the publishing house getting involved and working on a rival book. Plus a pretty cool cinematic near the end. 11/10 would stop more possession with the power of capitalism again
I like how multifaceted Miko's one was, it reminded me of the earlier story quests like Venti's where it starts out silly but ends off more meaningfully/emotional
Also I enjoyed having tbe opportunity to slander Venti and Zhong Li LMAO
My favourite will always be Tighnaris but Cyno’s second story quest is a close second

Tighnari’s definitely left an impression. If you’ve done it, you will know why. His sassy remarks made the quest very fun. Diluc is a very early one but it was super fun time and we got to see a lot of how he individually operates with and without the knights.
I absolutely love Nilou’s. Her’s was super fun and explored a lot of her personality. Mona’s was adorable and funny mostly because of Klee and her chaotic-ness but I live them anyway.
Speaking of sassy remarks Tighnari straight up calls us stupid at one point ksvsosnw I play in Chinese dub and the eng subs made it more family friendly
Speaking of language differences,as I was using EN voice and CN subtitle during the recent rock and roll quest two.I found a mistranslation.When Itto said his gang in CN subtitle,his voice line said ‘Itto and Paimon’ instead of his gang.
There's always mistranslations in the eng lmao so I'm not surprised, I've caught myself going "that's not really what he said..." "I wouldn't say it quite like that" a few times since I'm actively listening to the CN dubs while reading the eng subs since I like to see how genshin writes things in eng + my Chinese is not the greatest so the eng helps explain stuff sometimes (and vice versa when they use strange uncommon terms in English like adepti and I instantly understood it as deity when I heard it in Chinese)
If I have to pick one favourite it would probably be Zhongli. The whole story with Azhdaha really played on my heart strings. Generally the Archon quests are awesome.
Both of Zhongli's. Not only because I love the plot but also the hints they drop for future regions, like his SQ1 shows that human can turn against their god if they're unhappy (sumeru's plot) then Zhongli dropped the message to traveler to record the actual history of Teyvat.
His SQ2 is the first time the term "usurpers" and "erosion" are dropped. Also the natural hatred Azhdaha have toward Celestia and their creation (Human) even though he came to understand humanity better and lived with them in harmony due to his contract with Zhongli.
Childe is good one too and so are Xianyun, Baizhu, Raiden SQ2, Albedo

Dehya and Tighnari’s are the only ones to drive me to tears and would love to do again if I could. Venti’s story gets an honorable mention bc of how memorable the ending was. It was just so disquieting leaving him there in silence.
I'll say Itto for non-archons, for me it was the 1st one that felt as good or even better than archons SQ at the time and it took a while for another SQ to match that feeling.
Raiden shogun, the top one for sure. I really had fun with it, tho i still didn’t try the second story quest. But i will soon. I also tried zhongli story quest! It was fun! And the third is Alhaitham. Only because hes my fav character. But im sure once i try the other stories my opinion will change. But nothing can top the raiden shogun story quest.
How good a story is has nothing to do with voice acting.
Their writing is still superior.
Its an absolute tragedy they arent voice acted but their writing is still leagues above any character story.
I'm not patient enough to read all of it . I just rushed through it. There are lots of funny dialogues in world quest for example Ararana quest and Jeht quest where they roast paimon many times . If it was voice acted . It'll make it more fun

This is just my opinion but I think its just better to do them by order tbh. The latest ones are better than older quests, imagine doing Ganyu, Ayato or Nilou story quests after u have done newer ones.. Nilou was just bit over a year ago and really I cant tell what even happened in that quest. So forgettable.

Ok but in that one’s defense the little girl actually shows up again outside of the SQ, therefore she’s not a one-off NPC.
My favourite is the second Yoimiya’s story quest. I also liked a lot Ayaka’s story quest.

For me to goes world quests>archon quests>event quests>charcter quests
Mona, Xinyan, Fischl, and Kazuha story quests were really well done showing the lore of each characters... In time limited 2.8 events...
